Since I had many other therapies to help with my body, I was hoping these guys would accept my insurance (yay for meeting 3 deductibles in 2 years). When I called they informed me they DO NOT take insurance, which is fine. I still decided to try it out because I wanted to feel better, no matter the cost. Upon my first appointment Dr.Jess (and the following months) was so kind and interested I my accident. So much to the fact, she would ask if I had a lawyer... If my car insurance was giving me money in the time being (since it was the other persons fault)... If I saw a neurologist.. I continued to see her, as I did feel better initially. I told her I wasn't comfortable with manual neck manipulation (cracking my neck with her hands) and she would use the gun on me instead. A few times she forgot, which was terrifying. Fast forward to the "end" of my treatment. AKA me finding another chiropractor who was gentle and less of the "your body went this was going 50 MPH, so we need to put it back with the same force". My bill was TRIPLE THE AMOUNT.. Why you ask? Because I got the "insurance rate" "Oh, but I thought you didn't accept insurance?" "Well since you're insurance gave you money, and you have an automotive insurance claim pending, you get the insurance pricing" Please please please avoid at all costs if you were in a MVA. I should've seen the dollar signs in her eyes when she seemed to care more about what was going on in my world financially than in my body. My adjustments took less time than our conversations. On a side note.. Nora, her assistant, is the sweetest woman to walk the earth.

For myself, I had fallen while mountain biking and had upper back/shoulder pain about two years ago. Dr. Karen was able to adjust me in one visit and I was pain free. For this part of the review, 5 stars! (I don't think google reviews allow actual prices, therefore I did not include in my review). Recently, I scheduled an acupuncture visit which is advertised for a certain price on their website. No where on the website delineates extra fees or gave me an indication that I needed to inquire about extra fees. When I went in for my visit, I was early and waited patiently as Dr. Karen was running behind. Once the visit was completed, I went to pay the advertised price on the website and was surprised that the cost was actually 27% higher than advertised. When I asked the front desk about the advertised price versus the price I was asked to pay, I was told I was being charged for a "problem area" - which did not make a lot of sense to me because why other would one have acupuncture other than a problem? Therefore, I asked for Dr. Karen to call me when she had time. I also sent an email to Dr. Karen expressing my concern and requested a refund for the over charge. Later that afternoon, I received a text from the front desk, not a call from Dr. Karen, and changed the reason for the charge from it being a problem area to a "re-examination fee" because I had not been seen in their office in the last year. I responded to the front desk and requested to speak Dr. Karen. I also emailed Dr. Karen (once more since the description of the charge had now changed). Dr. Karen emailed me back and explained that the questions she asked me at the beginning of the acupuncture session were the reason "re-examination" and therefore I incurred the 27% upcharge (fee). She explained that if I have not been seen in the last six months, any patient would receive this fee. She acknowledged this type of fee is not mentioned on their website and that I should of asked her prior to my appointment for the cost. I have not been able to find these types of fees mentioned on the website or promotional emails that are sent out for services. Further, I am disappointed that as a patient I am being charged for being asked medically necessary questions for a treatment. These types of questions I was asked at my appointment would of needed to be asked whether I saw Dr. Karen consistently once a month, or six years ago. As a customer, I believe it is a reasonable expectation for costs/fees of services be advertised in such a way on a business website or promotional email that the customer knows what is expected of them to pay. If the business is not able to advertise such costs/fees, I think it is reasonable for the customer to expect to be notified of additional costs/fees not otherwise mentioned prior to their service. I have to say they were wrong, at least to this point anyways. After about three or four visits, I no longer have pain, I mean like at all, I can finally ride in the car again without even a though of shifting my weight around due to pain. Dr. Karen does a very professional job, and has taken excellent care of me. The shop is a pleasant space and I really appreciate the ice and heat therapy after my adjustments. I've had some serious trouble with…read moremy body the past couple of years, and he is one of the few people who have been able to step up and actually help me. This is a good Chiropractor. I initially went to him when my old Chiropractor who was also excellent, was out of town on extended leave. He actually recommended Dr Leach, who went to the same school - Palmer I think it was. And when Dr Leach adjusted me, I immediately could tell he knew his stuff. On top of that, he does Spinal Decompression (DRX) so later on when I had a bike accident and suddenly needed help with a bulging disk in my neck, there he was with the ability to do something about it. I bought a package of DRX treatments which was a reasonable cost. But also as part of that, when I come in for the DRX treatment he does an adjustment whenever I need it. So he is delivering excellent treatment at an excellent price. And let me share something about his manner. My body issues were not all spine issues; I had things like kidney stones since I was like, 21 (long time!) But I tend to tell Dr's what all is going on with me just in case something is related to what they are looking at. Because what do I know? I'm a layman! And he listened anyway. He never made me wrong about it, though he didn't wander outside his area of specialty of course. He seemed genuinely interested and that gave me confidence in his help and in my prognosis. And I give him credit for that because many Dr's would just get impatient with me. I highly recommend this guy.

The problems seemed to grow worse over the course of two weeks and I went to my dentist to get solutions for the TMJ. I also went to Dr. Jason for an adjustment for my back. Shortly after the adjustment my headaches went away and my TMJ pain has also been reduced. I knew that adjustments could help my back and hips.
