Best for: Relief of daily pain due to neck/back, hips, hands, joints in general . ‍ Expectations: No overnight success...unless it's minor I guess. But for me she is literally trying to get my spine straightened and my neck correctly bent. It took your body years to get where you are ready to now it's time to start looking for an awesome chiropractor. Make sure your expectations meet reality as it will take time to get it back. Background: 51 YO, 1 back and 1 neck operation, narrowing of the spinal column, a spine that didn't know it was supposed to be in the lovely "S" shape and daily sometimes debilitating pain since my 20's. I have been going to Chiropractic care for over 31 years. Truth. I have lived abroad and had treatment there, as well as 9 and counting states I've lived in. Treatment in general over that period has not been very helpful. I have seen a lot of chiropractors and most have been just average if even that. Some help but not much. No real progress checks. No insight into where to go with treatment, expectations and why. Worst, not great help except for 3 in over 30 years. A poor ratio. So Dr. Laura is one of 3 that have truly helped my situation. I do believe they have great care based off of my initial consultation and first adjustment! Sadly, that's where it ends... I was recommended due to my 30 degree curvature scoliosis that I would need to be seen multiple times a week and at the cost of $3,000. Unfortunately in this economy and being a single income family due to two small kids I couldn't swing it. I was literally turned away in pain. Not sure how that is considered health care! I was willing to pay the $65 per adjustment even 2-3 times a month, but I was still turned away if I didn't pay in full. So sad because I was so relieved to start my healing journey. Our entire family goes to Dr. Laura at Complete Care Chiropractic. I have been a skeptic over the years, but Dr. Laura and the Complete Care team have converted me into a believer. What makes this practice unique is the intake and progress check process. This included Xrays & consultation to view progress or identify any new challenges. This motivates the right behavior to get the desired results. When I first started seeing Dr. Laura, my lower back and hips were incredibly limited in flexibility and my right knee would ache when I ran on the treadmill. 6 months after I started I was able to more easily get my feet into proper position to pop us surfing on vacation and my knee pain is 100% gone! To start I should say that I am a chiropractor. My father was a chiropractor. I've been under care for 45+ years. During that time I've had the opportunity to be adjusted by some of the best doctors in the field. Dr. Laura is once of those. I first met Dr. Laura in 2011 shortly after I moved here. I had been to other offices in the area, however after my my first visit to her office I never left (I mean I left the office, but I never saw anyone else). The office has an excellent vibe. It is very kid-friendly. One always gets the impression that everyone is looking out for the well-being of the clientele. I may also mention that your insurance company often has a propensity for lying about your real coverage. What they tell you may not be what they actually deliver. This is not a problem with the office. It is your coverage. They have an what is referred to as an *open* adjusting room. This is not a medical office where they take you into some back room and perform some strange *procedure* on you. If you have to talk confidentially, they obviously have areas for that to happen. When you come into the office you (and hopefully your spouse and kids) are going to get an adjustment. Other people are going to see it happen. Once Dr. Laura works her magic, you are going to smile (usually). Then you are next up, and it is your turn (to smile). Adjustments occur in the same space as the waiting room. No privacy during the intervention. About as therapeutic feeling as the DMV. One to one dialogues on treatment do occur separately, and are super rushed. Some regulation being met v. a patient centered approach. Sessions are 3-5 minutes. And given you see so many other patients being "adjusted" while you wait, watch, and listen - fair to say the actual treatment is decidedly not patient specific. Wow! I must have the same exact needs as the three people before me. Nice and flexible staff, Dr. laura IS skilled. Just too overtly bottom line oriented. Quantity over quality. Some pain needs more TLC and a multidisciplinary approach. read more

I am so thankful for finding Dr. Laura Duke after hurting my back and trying PT, which was more expensive and way less effective and then a spin doctor that just gave me drugs. I then discovered Dr. Laura could help with the whirlpool of other "issues" I have in my body such as Carpal Tunnel, blocked Eustachian Tubes, bad knees & ankles, sinus issues and decades of clumsiness. I got a complete exam and signed up for the recommended 30+ sessions (at great personal expense). After the exam she said her success rate was 99.9% with my Piriformis pain. After 30 sessions, she told me I was getting better and better, but in reality there was no change. I guess I was just that one in a thousand patients that wouldn't heal. read more

I cannot speak to the actual service. I never had adjustment by Complete Care, but my overall experience was not good. I went in for the initial exam with the assumption it was going to cost $50. Because my insurance covers Chiropractic. One thing I did not know was I had to have a referral. I own up to not reading the fine print. I went to the appointment 30 minutes early, gave the admin my insurance card, asked about the co-pay, filled out the paper work. No money was taken no information about cost was provided at that point. I went through the exam. Dr Laura examined me, questioned me and they took some X-Rays. Probably another 30 minutes. On my way out the admin person says I owe $150. I am a bit shocked. She goes on to say, she has not seen that happen before. i.e. an insurance company requiring a referral for chiropractic. I pay the $150 and said I would contact my insurance company to get it strait. My insurance company will not pay with out the referral. I try to get a backdated referral. My GP can't give me one. I call complete care and give them the update and they pretty much say... to bad. Then I look on Yelp and I see you can do an initial exam for $60. What the #$@*? Health care is the only industry that can get away with this kind of crap and it pisses me off. I should have known about the referral process. But it is also the responsibility of the provider to be clear and upfront about cost. That $100 dollars makes a difference to me and my family. read more

Got exam and X-rays for low back pain. Felt pressured to sign up for 12weeks at $700. Was told that Kaiser would reimburse. After the fact was told I needed a referral from my physician. Got 2adjustments (about 5 minutes each) which made no difference in my pain. Decided not to pour more money into a process that wasn't working, a business model that pushed the necessity to sign up for 12 weeks (no matter what the symptoms) and a reimbursement of perhaps nothing. It's been over a month and I have Heard nothing from Kaiser. I do not recommend this business. read more

The absolute worst chiropractic office I've ever been to. Every individual working there had atrocious patient care. Bevin (I think was her name at the front desk) was completely rude to me when filling out my initial paperwork for an evaluation. After I got through all of that, Dr. Laura basically threw me on the table, did some work on my spine and tossed me out the door. They had no care for me as a patient. The only individual that seemed to care was the lady entering information onto the computer behind the table. I don't remember her name though because I was so irritated. Possibly Jen? I was pressured into signing up for "the program". At first I said no, because I've been there and done that. Then I re-thought it and decided maybe it was for the best because of my condition at the time. Once I completed the program, I was put on the "maintenance plan". There were a number of things that complicated things during the time of Dr. Laura's pregnancy when she had hired another doctor and then he suddenly quit. It was after that when I had a long lapse in adjustments and when I returned, I was told I couldn't get another adjustment until I had another re-evaluation, as it was "against the law". That was all it took for me to walk away. Not a good experience how they pressure you and don't give you any choice. There are a lot of chiropractors out there. read more

So let me start by saying that Dr. Laura is an amazing chiropractor and definitely made me feel better. The issue I have is that the customer experience needs improvement. First of all, they do their adjustments in the waiting room. So you get to be contorted into all sorts of weird positions in front of strangers which is not my preference. I personally don't like having an audience when I'm going to get healthcare. Second, it almost feels like you're going to a cult meeting when you go to their office because they print out all sorts of flyers and what not about the benefits of chiropractic care (some of which I benefit from but seriously...chiropractic care is not the cure all for everything) along with having to watch introductory videos when you first join the "program". Finally, they won't treat you on an occasional basis. Either you sign up for their comprehensive program which I don't have the time or energy for or you get a letter saying they don't feel like you're a good fit because they focus on wellness and not just managing pain. Again, I'm not disagreeing that this is best practice, but realistically, if you happen to wake up with a sore neck one day, do you really want to come in twice a week for like 6 weeks to fix it even if you're already feeling better by the second treatment? Finally, their hours are kind of weird, which I get because it's a small operation but not convenient when you're trying to work around school schedules, work schedules, etc. That being said, she's one of the best chiropractors I've ever been to so it was worth putting up with some of the weirdness to get the results she delivered, but just be aware upfront that this is not the place you want if you just need someone to do occasional adjustments on you. read more

I've had back issues for over 20 years, and I've never been as stable as I have been in Dr. Laura's care. And they never complain when I just pop in because I'm hurting (though I'm sure they'd rather I make an appointment) I really can't say enough good stuff about this place. I saw Dr. Duke for a number of months when she personally referred me to another Chiropractor in the area that utilized a different technique. When her care could not solve my new spinal issue after many weeks of trying, I went to this other doctor. When that issue was resolved I tried to come back to Complete Care, as I'd mentioned was my intent, just for regular maintenance but I was met with only negative resistance. She actually left me a message that seemed spiteful and done with a poor attitude in regards to coming back for care. The overall care I received when I was there was 4 stars, but to say that she couldn't help me for regular maintenance after I went to a physician she referred me to deserves 0 stars for professionalism.. read more
