I am a healthy and active 33 year old, but labor can play havoc on your body. I have had lower back pain since the birth of my daughter about 4 years ago. I have tried acupuncture, massage, pelvic floor therapy, and dry needling, some of it worked temporarily, but always came back. When I came to see Dr.Al I had massive pain in my back, trouble standing straight, and not a great ability to walk. Unlike other chiropractors he took time to have a full evaluation and if needed, x rays in order to properly treat each patient. On top of this I enjoyed the visuals and description of the injury to let me know exactly what was going on and how it was affecting me, as well as a care plan that he showed me in order to give me a basic idea of how long treatment would be and how that would be accomplished. He was able to take away my sciatic pain and let me get back to work and doing the things that I love to do in a short amount of time. I started to come because I couldn't walk on my right leg while pregnant. Dr. Al helped my hips after a month of constant visits. while this was going on, I had weekly migraines and those visits helped me with that as well. I gave birth and stopped coming. 3 years later my migraines came back, Ive moved 45 minutes away at this point. I looked everywhere for a new Chiropractor but they would just "adjust" me with out doing any xrays so i decided to go back to The Disc Chiropractic even if the drive is far and its been about 2 months and i am already feeling so much better. I have MS and walk funny because the right side of my body doesn't work so well. Dr. Al corrected my neck, so it doesn't crack anymore. between in office visits and take-home exercises my upper back and neck was aligned. I have a crushed vertebra, T5, and it hurts something bad when he gets to it, but he got me tall again with good posture. My hips are the worst. I got DDD, DJD, and arthritis. Dr. Al is somehow able to get them aligned. I haven't been to the Disc for a while because copays for Medicare, chiropractor was one of the budget cuts. However, this kind man said he would sign up to be a VA community provider and I finally got him the information so he can apply. I was in a car accident about 2 1/2 years ago and hurt my back and neck. Main reason I came in was because of my neck pain was really starting to bother me! I appreciate how consistently he utilizes X-rays to inform his interventions, and knowing that there is true intention behind his interventions. In pay Chiropractic settings, I've been passed off to other practitioners, and have had botched adjustments which increased my pain because of it. When I first came here a few months ago I was in a lot of pain and discomfort. Dr al has been amazing with helping me get back to myself, I wasn't able to walk much and getting out of bed was a hassle. There is only one word for my recovery- Miraculous! When I had my first appointment I couldn't walk more than a half mile, vacuum more than one room, or lift my granddaughter without intense pain. I can't say enough good things about the Disc. Initially came in suffering from fairly intense lower back pain from a years old snowboarding injury.
