Dr. Cole Joyce saved my husband's back and helped him to recover after years of debilitating sciatica pain. I am so grateful for him and the care he's provided - and that he has given my husband his life back! He is a phenomenal provider and genuinely cares for all those that visit. I narrowed a search for an excellent chiropractic provider among six clinics in-network with my Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois policy, reading reviews across multiple platforms and then pared it down to a clinic in Arvada and Applewood Chiropractic. I actually committed to Arvada though they were five minutes farther away and had lowers reviews but the phone call to the two clinics changed the choice. The staffer at Arvada shoed me away when I asked some questions about insurance pricing, encouraging me to contact my insurance and sort it out with them. Just get it squared away with them and let us know. Hmm, okay. Many potential clients ask about insurance breakdowns during a call about care, packages, and scheduling. It is not an unusual question. Knowledge of insurance systems is another way to project professionalism to customers, to display knowledge, an opportunity to sell the clinic. And the person who picks up the phone at an organization, speaking to a client, becomes the de-facto representative of the establishment. The voice. The face. It can be a burden, but that is why customer service training is serious business. Perhaps the staffer was new, I do not know. Arvada lost my business there. On the other hand, at Applewood, both Jeanette and Tammy went above, broke down the pricing on the phone, explained how my insurance operates, even looked up the exact cost, were professional, compassionate, had fantastic attitudes, and explained in great detail how Applewood care functions. They knew my questions before I even asked. I did not have to really ask anything, they just knew and explained. They sold Applewood on the phone. Jeanette and Tammy understand world class customer service. The actual care is as good as the front office staff. It has been excellent. Dr. Jacob Duerksen is a great listener, professional, knowledgeable, and beats me to near death during adjustment. I look forward to the near-death experiences. After emergency CPR I get beaten down again at physical therapy downstairs by Morgan, Heath, Bri, Courtney, or Hope. After I am revived I crawl across the floor and snuggle with one of the most adorable pooch faces anywhere, Sadie. Sadie's paw holds my hand during these beatdown sessions. After seeing several other chiropractors and even a spine specialist over the years, I am forever grateful I found Applewood chiropractic and Dr. Joyce. He is amazing. Extremely thorough and I never feel rushed during my appointments. I've had neck and back issues, where a spine specialist said I needed surgery. Come to find out, it's not as severe as the other Dr made it out to be and I do not need surgery! Dr. Joyce has been treating me and I have felt a tremendous amount of pain relief. I love how fun the front desk women are when I first arrive. The chiropractors are also very personal and take the time to adjust whatever issues you are having. Unlike most chiropractors, this office also has many types of therapies to help a patient recover sooner. I particularly like the pressure point massage therapy available.
