This is my third company to experience home health care for my cancer syndrome, and i can tell you for a fact, even with this organizations short life, in terms of these types of companies, of only 3 or 4 years in business, they really have it together and they are fair, they listen and they really know how to get things done. In the past two years, I've had two health care companies who say they will send someone as a replacement for a no show, and i not only don't get a call from the poor agencies in the past that there will be no one to show up, they take up to two months to get a replacement...even a temporary person to cover for your sick caregiver. Then, there is the fact that other agencies say they do their homework and backgrounds on people, but they do not. ABELE DOES!!! They have wonderful people, for the most part. No one is 100%, but these people are close to having a 100% best staff award this year. I have two really great care givers, Hanna and Heather, so if you want to ask for some one that is great, ask for them. Also, when Abel gets the word that there is no one coming due to a health or car issue, what have you, they have some one in that time slot within minutes and a phone call to let you know what the plan is and who coming!!! Bravo!!!, for such amazing on the spot care! This tells me they truly care about the client and want them to feel comforted, protected, and well managed. They take steps to assure that their employees are on time and don't leave early, like all the others. They assure me that if by the fault of the crooked care giver lying to cover their agenda, they are quickly debt with! Meaning, they even get a sense that this person is stealing or not doing their work, they fire them...not the case when i caught people red handed in the past stealing within other agencies...they simply DO NOT TOLERATE ANY KIND OF CRIMINAL THINKING OR BEHAVIOR AT THIS PLACE! YOU WILL FEEL SAFE AND PROTECTED! Also, they are so careful to make sure that the person who is caring for you, cares only for you, so they have you set up with only that one person, plus you can count on that person not taking advantage or screwing around while there, as well as knowing that your care worker is there to focus solely on YOU, only....no phone calls, or texting, or messing around or talking your head off...they come in and get right to work. There is no garentee that you will get the exact fit for the care giver the first time right off, but they sure make it their business to try their hardest to match you with a personality that does care, that matches your lifestyle and one that really is very compassionate. The company tries super hard to communicate efffectively, with many calls, three months checks, and phone calls regularly to ask questions and they make it so easy to speak the truth. They make sure you know, that you come first, before any dollar amount or their reputation...they want you happy, safe and comfortable. This is one of the most effective and efficient ran organization Ive experienced yet. The only single draw back is if you're hard of hearing, you might have a little trouble with accents, but most people don't have hearing problems, so this isn't really even an issue. Also, I think this is good, but others don't like it...but you will be thinking that its kind of strict, but its all done to protect you! I'M USED TO THEIR RATHER STRONG GUILD LINES, BECAUSE I KNOW I CAN PUT MY FAITH IN WHY ITS BEING DONE THIS OR THAT WAY, NOW...AT FIRST IT MIGHT BE CONFUSING, BUT YOU CAN PUT YOUR TRUST IN THESE PEOPLE. THEY REALLY DO HAVE WONDERFUL CARE GIVERS AND A COMPASSIONATE END RESULT.

We are on the fence at this time. We've had more caregivers in the past 18 months than you could…read moreimagine! And the changing staff is a pain, because they next person doesn't know what needs to be done or where things are in the house. ABC claims to know their staff well, but didn't know how physically limited our favorite caregiver was, until we informed them that she could no longer perform the duties. There is an apparent lack of training on the duties and expectations. NThe next two gals were young and couldn't cook the most basic foods, and one lacked initiative to do anything without being told, and even then had an attitude as if she was being interrupted. On a good note, when we needed 24/7 care for a few weeks, ABC covered that pretty well. We now have one caregiver who is great and gets lots done with a good attitude but she has already missed 5 shifts out of maybe 20 so far. Hopefully things go smoothly from this point forward
