I knew that whatever house project we worked on next, I was going to hire someone who could bring the quality we wanted. I first reached out to Zenith Builder about potential home projects and met with Zuriel in 2023. He was honest and gave his perspective on the different options we were considering. We ended up not going through with any projects at that time because everything was out of our budget and we needed to figure out what we wanted. Fast forward to this past April, we finally decided to remodel our garage. I didn't even hesitate and knew I wanted to hire Zenith. Zuriel came out again and talked through the details of the different options we were considering. Once we decided on the initial scope, they started and worked quickly. The project manager was really communicative and easy to work with. When we added scope in the middle of the project, Zuriel was transparent about the additional costs and even though we approved over text, he would still quickly put together the documentation to send over for approval. If you're looking for a stress-free experience in remodeling/construction, look no further because Zenith is your answer. After the experiences we had, Zenith is worth every penny. I will use them again when we do our next home renovation.

They also offer drafting and 3d rendering services for a small added fee so you definitely know what you're signing up for prior to a larger project. After buying a new house, we were looking for creative solves to fix an extremely weird and small bathroom situation where expanding it was not going to be a straightforward solve given limited spacing in our house... and not wanting to expand our house which would take even longer to move in and break the bank for us. Zenith is your one stop shop, with electrical and plumbing covered for this type of project. They can also help with some materials too and you'll get a very clear quote on what is or isn't needed to purchase/covered allowances that they can help procure. While it looks like I won't be able to go with them this time (purely due to budget, but they were extremely fair and competitive with their pricing for the level of service they offer), Zenith was extremely helpful in giving us their perspective and I have no doubt they can get the work done in a great manner. Zuriel at Zenith was very patient with me and highly responsive with my questions, always responding back in a timely manner. Highly recommend you consider them when looking for contractor quotes!

Our project included major layout changes to removing a whole fireplace/wall, and he took the time to truly understand our vision from the start. He was trustworthy, reliable, and incredibly communicative throughout the entire process. We always knew what was happening, what was coming next, and never felt left in the dark. For a our house renovation, that level of communication made a huge difference for me. Managing a full home remodel can be overwhelming, but Jay handled everything smoothly and professionally. He was responsive, detail-oriented, and proactive with solutions when questions or challenges came up. The quality of work speaks for itself, and we're beyond happy with the final result. He's amazing and still checks up on us to ensure everything is up and running. If you're looking for a contractor you can trust for a major renovation, we highly recommend Jay.

We recently purchased a 1950's home that was outdated and was looking to rejuvenate our home before moving in. We sent out various inquiries on Yelp and through referrals. Jay and Rui were very responsive and came out to give us a quote immediately without delay. Jay showed us his show room as well as various projects he was currently working on giving us more than enough reassurance that he'd be able to handle our project. Jay gave us a timeline and scope of work that met our desired budget and most of all he worked thoroughly with us to create the perfect floorplan. We had a gut feeling and decided to move forward with J&R Construction. Best decision ever. He started immediately sending in a huge crew to basically gut the interior of our home and remove a fireplace located in the center of our home. During the process, Jay was very responsive and gave us periodic updates on the process. His team were there nearly every single day working on our home. We were astonished how everything progressed so quickly. Throughout the process, Jay uncovered issues that he recommended adding to the scope of work such as water re-piping and electrical. The galvanized water pipes were leaking and extremely old. Our electrical panel was poorly done by the previous owner. We didn't have to but decided to add it to the scope. As he finished re-piping the home, I received a notification from my home insurance that they would be cancelling my insurance due to the old water pipes unless proof was provided that it was replaced. Jay provided documentation just a couple days later for me to submit to Mercury Insurance. They then revoked the cancellation. Phew! Fast forward 3 months later, Jay and his team finished the following: Structural/layout changes, plumbing re-pipe, electrical re-wiring of the whole house, whole home HVAC, attic insulation, whole home flooring, kitchen cabinets, retrofit all windows, interior painting, exterior doors, interior doors, masterclass kitchen and bathroom tiling, and so much more. He turned our 3 bed 1.5 bath home into a 3 bed 2 bath with a master bath and closet. I don't think any contractor could have redesigned our home the way Jay did.. not even close! If you have a BIG project and want to do it right, I 1000% suggest you give Jay a call. You won't be disappointed.

Out of the inquiries, 4 responded and provided estimates in person. Roi, from JRD, was the last one to provide the quote and was the only one out of the four to provide a detailed explanation of what the work would entail and also showed photos of prior jobs and design inspirations. Needless to say, we went with JRD and from the get-go, Roi was responsive and kept us up to date every day. He made sure we were satisfied with the job before considering it closed. If you want a work done by a company who delivers on its promises and keeps in touch with you until the very end, JRD is for you. We've interviewed a few home builders, checked out their work and reputation, and eventually decided to go with Gil, Oren, and the whole team of Go Home Builders. Working with the insurance was a pain, luckily Gil had experience working with Allstate insurance before, and he helped us a lot getting the money we needed to rebuild our home. The planning process took a bit longer than what we initially planned for. The county of LA took their sweet time approving our plans. Fortunately, after 2 sets of revisions we were fully approved. The construction wasn't bad at all, they had plenty of guys working on our home at the same time. The only time there was no work, was on inspection days. The finishes was one thing that was extremely important for us. My wife and I are detail oriented and wanted to make sure we're choosing the right company to do the finish work correctly. All I can say is that they exceeded my expectations. Overall the beginning of the process was extremely emotional challenging, but the whole team of Go Home Builders made us feel like we're not alone. My wife and I are very grateful for them. I'd highly recommend.

I had a rough vision in mind for fitting a lot into a relatively small space, but wanted to see the options rendered so I could better make the big layout and design decisions. Alexis was very patient and super helpful in mocking up each iteration until we locked in the final design. Once it was time to actually break ground, Gil, Oren, Uriel, and the rest of the team were really responsive and always available by text. Unlike previous contractors we've worked with, they usually gave us an idea of what was happening the next day/week and who to expect onsite. The first ~70% of the project went really smoothly and far exceeded my expectations. Demo, framing, rough plumbing, and electrical all largely went without a hitch. We ran into some problems towards the end around communication, timeline, and subcontractor oversight -- which led to more delays when someone punctured our new in-wall toilet tank and flooded both the bathroom and bedroom. We know every construction job runs into challenges so we weren't bent out of shape by it, and we did appreciate that GHB took full responsibility for fixing the issues. By and large we were really impressed by most of their subcontractors, especially the very professional and considerate plumbing, electrical, and tiling teams! After living with our new bathroom for a while now, we can definitely say it was worth the wait, and such a huge improvement over our previous dysfunctional layout. Thanks to GHB for their great service, amazing attitude, attention to detail, and for bringing the bright, colorful bathroom of my dreams to life!

I know this review is basically 1.5 years later but I wanted to use the bathrooms and see how it held up before writing this review and it just became overdue. Anyways, I would not recommend Robert and his team for any similar jobs. I'm honestly shocked by the positive reviews and felt I needed to post mine because I found Robert through yelp and feel mislead. There are a lot of things that have issues now. The grout lines in the shower are flaking off in layers because it was not done properly the first time. The niche that was built has a lip that holds water and won't drain. The vanity is leveled but the gap between the wooden cabinet and the slab counter top is not. One of the doors of the vanity was installed poorly and is now loose. The laminate flooring tiles are separated in one of the bathrooms. There is so much flex when you walk on it even since the day it was installed. I regret not insisting on leveling the floor before install but Robert told us his expert opinion was that it wasn't necessary. We asked Robert to do measurements on the day we signed the contract so we can order enough materials including extra for the floor and shower. We ordered exactly as he told us but when install came, we needed to go out and buy more bc of mistakes or miscalculation. This lead to needing to buy completely different flooring for the other bathroom bc the store didn't have enough of the original one we picked out. The shower had rust coming out and his plumber was sent out to fix it (the plumber wasn't present during the initial install, FYI). There was so much extra material with the exhaust fan duct he installed and there was papers left inside that blocked the vent opening. The towel rod is not leveled. We had to reinstall one of the toilets ourselves within a year bc of a leak cause by the rubber ring. Everyone on the team was very nice and polite, however, with the exception of the plumber, I would not consider their craftsmanship and skill level to be the level of someone who works in construction as their main profession. There is a lot more I could say but I'll end it here. If all my issues were cosmetic, I'd give them 3 stars. But considering the fact that a lot of these issues had to be fixed by us or can't be fixed now but only the next time we do another renovation (flooring, shower tiles and niche, uneven patching and texture on walls/ceiling), 2 stars seems fair. I would not recommend King Legacy Construction to anyone looking for a renovation/remodel.
