I find it odd that even though I have to point out several places of concern, no notes or pictures are taken. The PA also stands several feet away and is super quick with the exam. This last time was the worst though. After glancing at my face, they take the nitrogen out and put on squirt on my forehead. They said, "got a spot". I didn't and don't have any on the center of my forehead. That one squirt didn't even leave a red spot and I was, and my insurance was billed for 'destruction of a lesion". Needless to say, I won't go back. You definitely can tell it is a merry-go-round of annual 'checkups'. Great way to make money, bad way for actual patient care.

This dermatology clinic is right down the road from me so I took it as a sign to come here to establish a relationship with someone who can properly help me with the care of my skin. The staff here are so friendly. The sweet receptionist got me all check in and gave me my proper paperwork to fill out. I only waited a couple minutes before Ashley Cafferty greeted me and walked me back to my exam room. Ashley and I went through my medical history, my transplant timeline and my relationship with the sun. I appreciate that she took in everything that I was throwing at her. She didn't rush me and everything that I had to tell her. Her attention was truly undivided. Ashley did a thorough exam of my skin. She checked every mole to make sure they weren't suspicious for anything concerning. We also went through my dry skin concerns and possible treatment options to help alleviate some of the dryness. It is quite the awkward situation, having someone you just barely met go through every inch of your body but Ashley made me feel comfortable the whole time. I couldn't be happier coming to this office to get my relationship with a dermatologist started. The staff is great. The office itself is stunning. The room I was in was clean and professional. I don't have to be back for another year but I'll know what to expect the next time I do come in. It was a great visit at this office today.

I had a…read morecheckup and some potential problem areas frozen off my body on a visit that was maybe 20 minutes long. The bill, you ask? Over $800. Some of that was because I was a "new" patient. There's no disclosure about this, despite the clinic knowing and implementing this policy, but I digress. I was ok with the care, NOT OK with the egregious charges and underhanded, dishonestly inflated bill. My advice is simple: find another clinic to visit, and second, ask for an estimate of charges before you agree to care. Shop around, because this clinic will empty your wallet over basic visits.
