I dont usually write reviews but in reality, a 100% cancellation fee hurts every customer it is a pain from the heart. I lost almost hundred bucks ($95) out of my pocket when I had an emergency and did not arrive to the appointment on time. I tried calling, emailing and texting. It asked if there is a leeway for new clients who cant arrive at least not charge the whole price. Well, maybe If they like you, you might get a leeway but if you're nothing to them then they will take 100% cancellation fee. So I was nothing to them so I lost $95 bucks and a sad boyfriend that I did not enjoy most of his wonderful gift , he gave me a gift card but only have used $70 out of $150. So you guys if u have an emergency you will lose your money. I dont know how you will fight for your consumer rights in case that happens so Im just giving you all a warning. In case of emergency, you LOSE money so You better be there on the day of the appointment. Maybe well I wish that it made them happier them once with that $95 charges for their living. read more

You are in expert hands here, no doubt about it. I completely trust Jill with my hair, I have loved every single recommendation she has made and have never left disappointed. You will definitely leave with the 'New Hair Swagger' pep in your step. Even the most subtle of changes can make a huge difference and Jill knows what she is doing. I have been going to Jill for a little over a year since moving to Boise from California and I definitely hit the stylist jack pot when I found her. So long story short- your hair prayers have been answered and The Beauty Bar is it. But it doesn't end there because they also do facials, waxing and so much more. This salon rocks! After having a bad experience at another salon, my hair needed fixing. I called for an appointment and Hannah offered to come in early the next day to get me in. Not only was she graciously willing to do that for a totally new client, but she made my experience a 100% better than the previous salon. Jane Iredale is one of the only makeup brands I can use on my sensitive skin, and while it's easy to find online, it can be tricky to find places to buy it in person - which makes it tough if you want to try on a sample! Beauty Bar carries the full range of this brand, so I stopped by to look for a new foundation. Megan was SO welcoming and helpful, matched me to the perfect shade and has given me wonderful recommendations and advice regarding makeup color choice & application (I'm pretty clueless when it comes to that ) also, the salon was one of the most beautiful and cleanest I've ever been to. I really enjoy coming here to get my hair done. It is so relaxing when you walk in the door. The location is tucked away in the north end and very serene and very pretty inside. The stylists are very friendly and are excellent at what they do. Beauty bar also offers waxing manicures and haircut, color, & and style. The salon is kept very clean and it always smells really good. I go there to meet with my stylist Camilla and I am always 100% satisfied with not only the end result but also the cost of the end result. I feel like I go in looking like a hot mess and I come out looking like 1 million bucks. read more

If you're looking for the place for all your beauty needs -- this is it. Like you, I know that it's not so much the salon, but the person doing the service. so let me get right to it. Kayla Dockins is fantastic for hair. She cuts and colors mine, and it's always perfect. I just ask her to do whatever she thinks -- and it always looks great. She is stylish and always familiar with the latest trends, but I always look classic. Kayla also cuts my 2-year-old's hair and does a great job. Megan gives a wonderful facial. I also see her for brows (never disappointed) and she's done a spray tan for me (who knew that could look so good?) and a lash lift and tint (very cool). Ashely does great nails. My nails are always flawless, but more importantly (to me), its all very sanitary. No gross water jets that make me wonder if I'm going to leave with more than I bargained for. I truly cannot recommend the Beauty Bar highly enough. Check out these fantastic, independent women. read more
