SoCal wrap
Bryan C.

They had quite the choices on the menu. I ordered the SoCal Wrap, the Mammoth burger (black bean), and the Thai Crunch Bowl. The burger was rather small and tasted okay, I guess it's suppose to be the vegan counter part to McDonald's Big Mac. The Thai Crunch bowl tasted okay, I liked the texture and the taste of the tofu. But the real winner was the SoCal wrap with the Meatie (mushroom) Chicken which you couldn't taste that it was mushroom, the texture was so much like chicken! Plus it was surprisingly very good, very hearty and the cabbage, lettuce, corn and other veggies in it complemented the overall taste of the wrap! The workers here were very accommodating in answering our questions and asked if we needed anything and the service was nice. The chicken tenders were good. They use impossible burger for the burgers but you can choose black bean patty or other options. The portion of the food does not justify the price though. I'd come back for that wrap! That won me over.

Baja Burger, Sweet Potato Fries, Fountain Tea

Who says you have to be vegan to eat plant based food? You're missing out because it's delicious with the side of being healthy for you! I came here out of curiosity and came out thinking of what I should order next time, haha! The restaurant was minimalist while having an open space aesthetic. I got their Baja Burger with a side of sweet potato fries and everything was great! Fries were crispy and seasoned well. The burger was juicy and the pico de gallo tasted fresh. I liked that for the fountain drinks, they also had iced teas if you're not feeling the carbonated pops. The meal costed a little over $20 plus tip so it was on the pricey side but I got what I paid for! I think y'all should give this place a chance; I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised! Also, five stars to the staff! Friendly and polite! Food was brought to me and I know they didn't have to but after my meal, they even cleared my table. This place is wonderful!

Thai Crunch Bowl and Buffalo Cauli Bowl

A friend and I went to Elephant and Vine in Evanston recently, and it was a real treat! The staff were very friendly, and the food was tasty! I liked that they had so many options to accommodate my food allergies. The ambiance was warm and inviting; the lighting in particular was bright but still diffuse. As you can see from the photos, we had fun! I had a Thai Crunch salad (which included Grilled Tofu, Mixed Greens, Cucumber, Edamame, Pickled Slaw, Red Bell Pepper, Cilantro, Crispy Chickpeas, Sesame Ginger Vinaigrette) and my friend had a Buffalo Cauliflower salad (Hand-Battered Buffalo Cauliflower (or Chik'n), Crispy Chickpeas, Pickled Slaw, Mixed Greens, Roasted Corn, Avocado, Tomatoes, Homemade Ranch Dressing). Chef's kiss on both :) see the awesome presentation of each in the pics! Not pictured was the yummy Double Chocolate shake. Thanks Charlie! We'll see you all again soon!

We've known about Elephant & Vine for a while and just got around to eating there. It was super yummy. The menu is limited but the food is great. I had the mammoth burger. The Elephant sauce was the star for sure. My honey had the Korean BBQ chicken sandwich which was amazing. He definitely ordered better. We also had the buffalo cauliflower wings. The sauce was great not too spicy, very smooth. The ambiance was nice, modern but welcoming. The service was also great. Our order came out quickly so the fries and tots were warm and crispy. We will be back for sure.

Santa Fe wrap (chorizo)

Clean cafe and the bathrooms were too, Great customer service, I can tell they love what they do. I ordered what they recommended which was the Santa Fe wrap (chorizo), a side of crispy fries that were seasoned well and an iced Intelligentsia coffee. The Santa Fe was so delis, I forgot it was vegan. Charmaine and staff keep up the good work!

Good ambiance plus tasty food that is healthy and reasonably priced too. The service is great and nice too. Their dragonfruit juice is great, also mixed with their lemonade. Nice place with all vegetarian options.

Food is very tasty. However pricing should be adjusted. It's a bit steep for the portion size at times.

Checked out this hip vegetarian restaurant in Evanston. It has been a long time favorite and has a…read morecasual classiness to it unlike many others. Blind Faith Cafe has a pretty great selection of things to choose. Prices can be high but that's to be expected and usually it's worth it. The menu includes things like burgers and salads. Bigger than expected to be honest. It's got a lot of room for banquets and parties. There's quite a few tables. A lot of things to like about it. The prices are one thing not to like though. It's about $17 for the cheapest entrees. Many of these are a lot more. I got the Blind Faith Burger. Pretty typical looking. This comes with a choice of a side. She had the Gardein Chicken Sandwich, which is plant based except for the mayonnaise on it. The rest of the menu includes bakery items like cookies and pastries. For sure this is one of the pioneers of vegetarian places around the area. It's closed Mondays. They accept reservations.

They use Uber Eats for delivery. That should be a red flag for anyone who has tried to order…read moredelivery through Uber before. Uber always manages to f--- it all up somehow. This time Uber wouldn't let me choose the tip amount, and I didn't realize they had charged nearly $20 for tip until it was too late to cancel this transaction. An outrageous rip-off -- and it's not like restaurants don't know Uber is shady and shoddy. I will never patronize this restaurant again. Is it really worth it to lose customers permanently just to save a few pennies on deliveries?

Get something meaty or something plant based. The prices are pretty high but that's to be expected for the location and quality. Came at lunch. It's actually a pretty small place so it's always packed. There's only a few tables. At least that means people like it. Usually there's a long wait. A while later and we finally got one. It's about $15 for a sandwich, which is a lot but it's great stuff. I got the Vegan Club. This has avocado, along with plant based versions of bacon, chicken, and mayonnaise, along with lettuce and tomatoes. She got the Vegan BLT. This is almost the same thing but simpler. Got to say it has limited hours and space, which are the bad things about it along with it being expensive. It's got a lot for breakfast and lunch. They're closed Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

This place is incredibly cute if you're looking for a nice ambiance. It was my first time trying it…read moreout and I loved the small attention to details. There was a live saxophone player and I loved the live flowers they had. Our waiter was extremely nice and took the time to explain the menu as well as their customer favorites. I order a Thai iced tea which wasn't bad but I prefer mine a little thicker and sweeter. It came in a thin tall glass which in theory was not a lot of drink. To start we order the chicken appetizer and fried beef on rice to share and unfortunately I did not snap a pic but these were listed under apps or shareables but the portions were extremely small. As our mains came I noticed that they were also small and each were around $20-$30 per plate. Not a bad thing if you don't eat much but I'm a big bang for buck type of gal. My family came to share and this place is a more fine dining thai restaurant which could explain the smaller portions. We ordered the pad Thai which was alright in my opinion I expected a little more flavor, the aubergine which was tossed vegetables as recommended by our waiter which was also ok not much flavor but beautiful plating though, and the coconut curry which was by far my favorite. If I were to come back here I would order that again, it was a nice light yet complex flavor profile which made me savor every bite. Overall good place for an upbeat fancier meal and I highly recommend the coconut curry braised chicken if you visit. Little pricey but that's just my opinion let me know what you guys think if you visit! Oh and they also give your receipt in a boat which they spin and leave a thank you card once you paid which was really cute.

Wife and I…read moreeach got an appetizer-I got their buffalo drum sticks which were somehow gluten free and delicious. For my entree, I got the bimbibab or however you spell it, with tofu. Would have liked a meat alternative but other than those drumsticks, which are brought in frozen and premade and therefore, the "meat" cannot be used in an entree-only the tofu was gluten free. Although I mixed in tamari and sirahcha, this was delicious. The hot pit crisped the rice perfectly and the veggies and tofu were cooked really well. We also got their raw berry cheese cake and a scoop of soy vanilla ice cream for dessert. The crust of the cheesecake wasn't really good but everything else was excellent. Service was great with a lot of good suggestions and he was very friendly. The place isn't much to describe. Just a very casual interior with an Alice in wonderland motif. Cute, but not a place you come for the ambiance. You come for the food and service.

The kung pao that I so adore here had barely any sauce or flavor this time; and the rice served with it didn't seem fresh - it was clumpy and dried up. The summer rolls were excellent!
