Mexican food is my go to I love everything about Mexican food. I always order the steak burritos from Elena's and it's always so delicious only Thing is I always ask them to double wrap the burrito because it's always so messy when you eat it. They put the sour cream and other sauces on top of the burrito when I feel like it should be on the inside it's way more messy with the sauces being on top of the burrito but all in all it's still very good I would recommend. I also got the guacamole and chips and every time we get order this we get stale chips they want us to pay our money for their chips and guacamole only for it to be stale no one wants stale chips so their company should definitely either give the customers the chips or make a new batch if your gonna charge for them I want fresh chips every time if imma pay my money for it. Had some food delivered one afternoon, and placing my order was a little challenging. No one spoke English, that is except for a kid..which would be ok if he/she understood me, I spent five minutes spelling out my street address! As for the food, nothing spectacular, definitely not for their prices. I ordered a chicken quesadilla, the chicken looked precooked and was so dark I thought it was steak. One thing I didn't like and found completely tacky was the sign reading " if you do not eat here, we will charge you for napkins, utensils...etc." They have other signs but that one turned my stomach. I would say the food here is better than Taco Bell and authentic in taste. When you enter the store you feel like you've entered a Mexican restaurant. It's very cozy there if you want to feel like your at home. From the decorations to the menus the place lives up to it name. Also be prepared to leave full. read more

On January 2 my family decided to order from our nearby home. On the coldest day of the year I was grateful that they sent their delivery man out on BIKE,up the steep hills of the Bronx. Let's get to it..... I used their online ordering service. My total came up to about $49 for 3 burritos and some tacos. I also ordered a large guac to share. Upon submission of my order I received a call from the restaurant, I was told there was no guac and that the money would be transferred back. Today is Friday, January 12 and the money still has not been returned. I went into the restaurant personally and was ATTACKED by a server and what seamed to be a superior. I was told they had no time to check their records. I would have been okay if they just gave me the guac I originally ordered. However, they took my information and said they will see what they can do. No matter what service a business is providing, employees should feel entitled to money that isn't theirs.
