Adan was my therapist today. I went in feeling broken because I had so many areas that needed attention. I have limited range of motion in my neck and he is one of the few therapists that actually took time to work on my muscles in my neck... not just the shoulders. I really appreciate that he focused on the areas that were more tense than others. Needless to say, I walked out feeling so much better. I had lower back pain for the longest and I was going to the chiropractor at first but ended up having a lower tail bone pain issue that caused my right leg and hip to hurt time and time again. I decided to do a deep tissue massage here for the first time back in 2018 the pain went away for 2 years it came back once again and this time I did a 7 sessions. It's been about 4 years already and I haven't felt any pain anymore. The gentlemen that helped me out at the time name was John or Sean I can't recall since it's been sometime. I felt comfortable through out the session because anything that I asked that I was curious about he was extremely knowledgeable and from that point on I knew I came to the right place. I have never visited this location and base on my experience getting spammed by calls and emails from it, don't plan to. After receiving a nice massage at a location in Frisco, I made the mistake of becoming a member in Frisco and then accepting an email invite to use its AP to check appointment availability. Since my location had no appointments available, I made other plans only to be inundated by calls from this and other locations with whom I have no relationship offering appointments. Although I clearly informed the original location as well as this an others that contacted me I don't want them to call or email me to solicit appointments, this store and others persist in spamming me. This spam continues even though I repeatedly have responded to their uninvited and unwanted duplicate emails the spam just keeps coming. I've had some really good massage therapists through the years and honestly, Monica is in the top three! I have chronic Degenerative Disc disease and have for over 20 years. I had a $100 gift card for my birthday, and I called ahead of time to schedule a prenatal massage. I had had one at this location 6 weeks prior and it cost an extra $10 (which is fine). I called today to schedule an appointment and decided to do an additional 30 minutes (last time the 1 hr cost $110), the woman on the phone told me that it would be an additional $35 for the 30 minutes. I told her I had a gift card and gave her that info ahead of time. So I was under the assumption I would have a 90 minute prenatal massage for $145 ($100 + $35+ $10). I get there and hand the front desk woman my gift card, and she says that I will pay the remainder after the massage. My massage was just okay.. prenatal meaning I literally just hold onto a body pillow on my left and on my right, so I'm never on my back. That's literally the only difference. I felt like the man was not very experienced and half of the time didn't even feel like there was any technique of pressure points- more just "rubbing" my back. I was not too upset about this because I was only having to pay $45 out of pocket for 90 minutes... or so I thought. I got done with the massage and went to pay, the woman said that the remaining balance would be $80. I told her that I had talked to someone when booking earlier and they said it would only be $35 extra for 30 minutes, plus the $10 extra for it being prenatal. She said that it was the store manager who took the call. There was nothing she could do about it-- the price for a 90 minute prenatal massage for a non-member is $180 (the prices aren't even listed online, so how would I know any different). The woman at the front desk said the only way this could be resolved is if I signed up for a membership today... that's an obvious no. Needless to say, I will not be coming back, nor will I suggest this location to anyone who asks. I decided to try this place since they had a good deal on groupon. They have multiple different massage therapists so its easier to get a good appointment time that works for you. I've had 3 different massage therapists since I have been going there. And they were all great. I am someone who needs lots of pressure and they can definitely accommodate that. The facility is very nice and clean. The waiting room is in the front with the front desk. Other places have it separate for a relaxing experience while waiting. The wait is normally not long. They have a membership there and will try to get you to sign up. Since I am able to use my HSA for it I decided to sign up. I am someone that always needs a massage and since I can use my HSA I decided to go for it. I have been to quite a few message places and I like that they have multiple massage therapists, they all seem to have their own style. Went on a Friday. Really liked the atmosphere of the waiting room. It was not huge, but had a nice little waterfall and serene music. Cindy was my masseuse. I told her about my issues. She asked questions and then proceeded to knead me into submission! She did ask how the pressure was. It was just what I needed. Seems all my tension goes into my shoulders and neck, probably not a unique thing. But after some weeks of neck soreness, when I left there, it was pretty much gone. The whole massage was thorough and I'll be back. I am used to some aroma therapy with my massages, but here it's extra. That's the only negative. With these member places, you don't get the robes, lockers and showers like a larger spa. But they also don't charge the large spa prices, either. Great for a therapeutic massage. I LOVE this place. They give affordable massages here that are high quality. I love coming here on my Saturdays, they always have fresh fruit infused water, and Andes mints after your massage - it's the little things :). While they are not a full on "robe and slippers" spa experience since they just do massages, it is perfect for a good massage at a great price. The atmosphere was great in the lobby area and the receptionist and my massage therapist were were nice. I love a good massage, however I am also big on all of my senses while getting massage, so there were three things that distracted me from the massage itself: 1. The music seemed a little more classical rather than serene 2. There was no essential oils or smells of any kind(biggest downside for me) 3. There was a small light in the room and it was right above the table so when I turned over, it was in my eyes and she never covered my face/eyes with anything. We seem to be getting massages more often these days and it's taken us all over Dallas. We came here because it's nearby and we got a flyer in the mail. We were pretty impressed and signed up for a membership. I can usually gauge the effectiveness of the massage when I wake up the next day and my muscles are sore. They tell you that you should drink lots of water and you might feel sore. Of the two massages I've gotten here the first did give me that sore feeling but the second was far from it. My masseuse was not a deep tissue masseuse at all and I walked away thinking, "what happened?" Since then we've been trying to get massages last minute and we've been having a hard time scheduling a good time. Either we'll run into a bad time or a therapist that didn't do the type of massage we wanted (sports and deep tissue). Today the wife and I decided it was about time to get a massage and she called. "do you have availability for two today? " Elements:" yes, we have an opening at 8p" "oh. Do you have two individual appointments available? " Elements: " yes, one at 3 and one at 4" "would the therapists be able to do deep tissue and sports?" Elements: "We don't have a therapist for deep tissue and we should have one for sports. I'll need to check." "Um. Okay, we'll have to get back to you know that. " Elements:" I'm sure we could get you in tomorrow.... " "okay. We'll let you know. Thanks." I will say that they run a tight ship. Everything is in tip-top shape, the therapists are professional as is the front desk. We talked to the owner, Steve, and he took the time to listen to us and give us the nickel tour. If it wasn't for the scheduling problems, this place would be 5 stars. When we want a massage, we want a massage and if we can't get one within a reasonable time frame, it just doesn't make sense to have a membership here. I found Elements on Yelp and the reviews seemed promising. When I called the receptionist was cheerful, knowledgeable and well informed. She was willing listen to my needs and match me with a mousse. She was even able to get me an appointment the next day. I went in and enjoyed a pleasant greeting from both receptionists. The studio is quite lovely with an all over calming and comfortable atmosphere. I met with Amber who did an amazing job! She listened to my needs and worked with me to make my experience enjoyable and productive as far as working on some of the "tough spots". Their rates are very reasonable. I called to set up an appointment and was told they do not take Living Social coupons on the weekends and he'd have to come during the week. I told the scheduler but that was not in the fine print. The only thing the fine print said was limited availability on weekends. I gave the Living Social coupon to my mother so she can get her money back. While I loved the service and the therapists are awesome, getting out of the contract has been a nightmare. I followed their rules, 30 days in writing because I was moving to an area where there were no Elements Massage (we even talked about it several times during that 30 days to make sure that it was in the system as cancelled), they still charged my card for several months afterward. I called to complain but could never get a manager on the phone or a call back. My first time coming to elements massage today. I came in due to some pain in my lower back that I wanted to see if a massage could help alleviate the pain. I saw Eric and he really helped me out. He used a technique that I had never heard of before, Trigger point therapy. He concentrated on my most painful area. It felt so much better when I walked out. I ended up signing up for a membership to continue this type that needs more visits than just a normal relaxation message. Defiantly glad I came here and will be back again soon for my next appointment to help continue to get rid of my pain. The place was very clean and relaxing.
