I have been a customer of Elements in Nutley and I must say they are a godsend. I have a medical problem that basically renders me a water balloon, and Shaquel- my massage therapist guru- performs lymphatic drainage massage on me every other week. This gets a lot of the excess liquid out of my system and makes me feel like a human again. I'm grateful to Shaquel and Elements for that- in the last several years they have worked tirelessly to come up with a regimen that has changed my life- and that is the kind of individualized attention you can expect at Elements too. I went to Elements Massage Nutley with my wife as she offered me a couple massage for Valentine's day... The massage therapist asked me what was my occupation and I said that I was an engineer working on my computer all day long. He offered to focus the massage on the neck, but I replied that I usually experience soreness in the back or the legs, never in the neck. He still essentially massaged my neck and shoulder for an hour, and I didn't really enjoy the experience nor feel relieved. Worse than anything, I got out of the massage with a pinched nerve in the neck so I had to go see my primary physician, a neurologist and I started physical therapy. I have experienced numbness and tingling sensation in my right arm for already two weeks. I will never come back to that place. Waste of time, money, and I had no problem or pain, now I can hardly feel my right arm... :-((( read more

I went to Elements for a post surgery lymphatic massage. I truly wasted my money. I am very disappointed, the massage therapist told me what she considers a lymphatic massage and I told her exactly what I needed In which she didn't listen. Elements prides themselves for catering to the customer but that was not the case in my situation. Honestly, everything she did I can do myself. The massage therapist told me NOT TO TAKE OFF MY CLOTHES. I was fully dressed while she barely touched me. I complained to the manager Marlene Rodriguez and she scheduled her "best" therapist for me so I can come again. Again, I told her what I needed and again she didn't listen and did little swipes barely touching my skin. You can put lymphatic post op massage and they can see they doing a dis-service to customers. People can get fibrosis and scar tissue for not moving the swelling. I'm a member of the Elements Massage as it provides a discounted fee without any costs for membership. I always book with the same massage therapist as she provides deep tissue and trigger point release. This type of massage is sometimes a bit painful to release the muscular knots in my shoulder and lower back area. Not all massage therapists do this type of massage, but Jimena is very adroit at this style. She's petite, but strong and provides me with much appreciated pain relief. read more

All the staff is super friendly, competent and attentive. I tried a couple different massage therapist and Nixon is by far my favorite. I like massages with a lot of pressure because I get sore and tense from working out frequently. The problem with that personally is sometimes the massage can feel painful and uncomfortable. Some therapist don't apply enough pressure others apply too much and the session doesn't feel relaxing at all. I also feel some therapists talk to much about topics not related to the service. Nixon gets right to the point and strikes a perfect balance between a deep tissue massage with minimal discomfort plus his energy and presence is very calming. I always feel like I'm transported into another dimension when my session is over with him. read more

As a new member the prices are VERY reasonable for your first time. When I arrived I had to fill out some paperwork in regards to my health history and what points I wanted the massage to focus on. Jimena was my masseuse. She was very nice and applied just the right amount of pressure. I would definitely go back to her. I left feeling rejuvenated and very relaxed. I went for deep tissue massage with her, was bit strong for me so didnt enjoy it that much.also she didnt bother asking if the neck adjustment on the table should be elevated or if im comfortable. Didnt give me a warning /inform me she was gonna place heated towels on my back. Just plopped them on me and i almost went it back spasm. It was a very mechanical massage. I have serious tendinitis and frozen shoulder. This morning, my right shoulder was so uncomfortable that I was crying in my living room because of the searing pain. It was awful. I made an appointment to see Damon for a 90 minute massage who did his magic. I had a massage there last month and Damon remembered the affected area. He masterfully worked the area near my scapula with a delicate but firm touch. Afterwards, the pain had significantly subsided and I had greater range of motion. The massage overall was relaxing and extremely therapeutic. Damon always ensures that I am comfortable throughout and provides an info sheet at the end of the session, indicating what to do later in the evening (heat or ice, etc). He is great and such a professional. You even get the option of cold or room temperature water. Nice! Both of my appointments have run on time. They have a variety of packages or you can pay as you go. The place itself is clean and comfortable. There is plenty of metered parking available. read more
