The lobby area is very cute and the check-in process was super easy with the very lovely front desk ladies. Gabby came to get me. I put on their robe, put my belongings in a locker, and headed downstairs for my 50 minute classic head spa with an added curl relief service. Gabby told me that it is a shared space downstairs so that we will be whispering when talking. I didn't mind this at all, and it did not take away from my experience. When I laid down on the table she put a warming mask on my eyes, which was glorious and began the whole process. She worked on my scalp the most - massaging, gentle scraping, using one of the vibration machines (sorry, don't know what they are called), and the water fall halo. All of it was AMAZING. I felt so relaxed and just entirely in the moment. The mini shoulder massage and facial were fantastic as well! As others have said, I wish it could have gone on and on! Afterwards, I went up to their blow dry bar and did my hair for the day. Even that was a lovely experience in and of itself. It was just the perfect me time I needed. Thank you Aura Head Spa. Also, pro tip - I was going to wear sweatpants, but decided last minute to wear jeans. I should have stuck with my gut and wore sweatpants because obviously you leave your pants on. If you have forgotten your swimsuit, robe, slippers for the pool. BRC spa has men's swim shorts to rent and female suits for purchase to whomever may need one. Which is an excellent service. Love that they have slippers for the entire spa experience. Really appreciate, towels and slippers are provided with the admission cost. Robes can be rented from the front desk for customer convenience, if you don't want to bring your own. I prefer to rent theirs, the robes are very nice. Admission grants access to the facility's aroma, wet, and dry saunas, steam room, ice cold plunge, lap pool, jacuzzi, relaxation room, and the mud/scrub room. WiFi is free and available throughout the entire spa. The spa features a lovely cafe that prepares healthy meals, fruit bowls, that has a bar wherein alcoholic beverages can be ordered. The spa has other amazing add on's that are extra which include cryotherapy, salt room, float pod, massage therapy, and a VIP room. Highly recommend cryotherapy if you have any inflammation in your body. Cryotherapy is a game changer. Excited to try the float pod, cryotherapy, infrared sauna,on my next visit. As well as the salt room eventually. My overall favorite feature of the spa was the ice cold plunge. It was truly an amazing experience, that gave me immediate benefits. Never thought I could ever do an ice cold plunge especially when the weather outside is already very frigid. Thanks to other members sharing their experience. I built up the courage to the plunge. It was an awesome, euphoric, pain relieving experience. I will be taking the ice cold plunge or ice baths on a daily or weekly basis for the amazing health benefits. My other favorites were the regulars that visit the spa frequently. They were absolutely the best, and I enjoyed each and every patron I encountered. This place is pure positive bliss. Luckily, I found the New Place Organic Day Spa in Bergen County on instagram and of course made an appointment! They had an amazing deal for a 2hrs service that included a body massage and head spa treatment for $130 -- this is unheard of anywhere else! I loved that you could mix/match whether it was 60mins / 60 mins or 45 mins / 75mins to your choosing. I opted for the 45 / 45 minutes and loved it. The 45min body massage was so relaxing. The 45min head spa was not exactly what I had expected -- I thought it would be more relaxing than it was but there was a lot of noise between the water, the steam machine, etc. It included a hair wash, scrub, head massage, neck wash -- the works! It ended with the machine that looks at your scalp and you can see just how clean it is. I felt rejuvenated when it was all done!
