This place is nice, however, their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. A young man scheduled massages for both his mother and I and when we arrived they said that he didn't schedule it correctly. He spoke to an employee that should had made it very clear as to what he wanted versus what he was getting. The young man at the desk said that he could see how it was confusing but never once attempted to make it right on the day of our appointment. This is THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER SEEN. My daughter had a massage she was counting on to have for a huge swim meet. When we arrived we discovered her massage therapist was "no longer there" and they needed to reschedule. The girl at the desk was very rude and said "we tried to notify you." Touch me, rub me, now! I was in town on business and decided to try to see if there were any last minute appointments available after work. Gave them a call and was able to get in no problem. The location is off to the newer part of the Easton conglomerate...at this time not much else of interest right in that area---so parking was not remotely an issue. Since it was my first visit, I was able to take advantage of the first time offer $49 for the first hour. I was able to select the type of massage I wanted (deep tissue vs. relaxation). My LMT was very personable and did a great job. I was definitely relaxed and got some knots worked out so it was a fab session. Good experience! read more

Absolutely amazing experience from the phone appointment to the end. Booking the appointment, Rahel was great and made sure I was matched with exactly what I needed. When I got there, the two employees both greeted me and smiled and called me by name. Rahel took time to explain the entire process and set the expectations. She explained some potential additions that would make the experience better. Didn't feel pressured or "salesy" at all. I opted for a few of them and was really glad I did. The evergreen scent was great and the salt stones were amazing. Matt did my massage and tended to everything great. Never an uncomfortable or awkward moment. I went in after traveling and he was tuned in to every area that needed attention. I also went in with knee pain that has been bothering me for weeks and he took some time to work on it and it feels a lot better. He even gave me some suggested stretches to do on my own that would help it. Matt went above and beyond. He suggested a follow up plan and offered recommendations for other massage therapists if he is unavailable. It's not a competition, they really want what's best for you. When I was checking out, Rahel explained the wellness program. It sounded great. The only reason I didn't sign up for it is because I am transitioning jobs right now but I will def be back and plan to sign up. The manager was absolutely amazing. I've been to this location several times & it never disappoints. My work schedule is hectic and I can almost never plan ahead, but still manage to get an appointment when I need one. The staff is always welcoming & friendly, but no fake or overbearing. (I can't stand places where you feel like an inconvenience). I've gone to some of the very expensive spas in Columbus and Elements is a much better experience for so many reasons. Patrick is the therapist I like the most. He is nice, chats enough to make you feel comfortable, but not through the entire visit so you can actually enjoy the massage. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER -- The massage was great, don't get me wrong. However, chose your words extremely carefully if you decide to visit this establishment. I visited here when I was home visiting my family in Columbus (I live in New York City). I was asked if I wanted to sign up for their "rewards program", there was a line behind me and they rushed me through initialing through this paper to sign up for the rewards program that I was assured was FREE. Fast forward to an unexpected call from my credit card company (a card I no longer actively used) asking why I hadn't paid my outstanding balance... Confused, I checked my account to see they had been charging me every month for an $80 massage. Totaling to a little over $500. I called and explained I never would have signed up for something like this as I do not live in Columbus... and their closest location to NYC is TWO HOURS away. I was very displeased to be rejected by their manager who then turned it over to the store owner who sent me an email filled with passive aggression explaining that they refused to give me a refund and the best they could do was send me a gift card. I treated my family to the massages so the money didn't completely go to waste, however it's safe to say I would NEVER visit this establishment again. *EDIT-LESS THAN 24 HOURS AFTER I POSTED THIS* Elements just called my boyfriend (who I treated to a massage when we were in town with my oh so hefty gift card they so kindly sent me) to say they were charging him a $35 cancellation fee because he was late to his appointment... You walk into an atmosphere so relaxing and calming. There is water when you wait and soft music playing. The wait was only a few mins, 5 max! The staff were so friendly and personable! The masseuse comes to take you back to the room that is dimly lit, soft music and it seems AMAZING! This was my first ever massage and it was heavenly! Crystal was my masseuse and she was incredible. My mom, the birthday girl, enjoyed her massage. I gave Crystal a great tip because she deserved and we tip well! There was a slight issue, however it was resolved very quickly! I did not have a good experience with this Spa. I purchased a monthly plan, but had to cancel it because I was 8 months pregnant and could not commit to attending each month with a newborn. Yes, I signed a contract, and understand how we as adults are bound to contracts. I was told that I had to use my last 2 Massages by September. I was unaware that they had to be used by an exact date in September, so when I called to schedule the appointment, the receptionist informed me that they "were gone" and had to be used by 9/15/2019 (I called the last week of Sep). Considering the fact that I was extremely pregnant, why didn't they inform me of an option to transfer my balances to a gift card? Instead, they pressured me to schedule in a short period knowing that I was pregnant and would have a newborn to tend to. To me, this is an extenuating circumstance which I believe at least deserves a review by someone experienced. As I attempted to get more information about what I could do to reactivate my membership or at least get one credit for the 2 massages I paid for, Dakota, who took my call, got real snazzy as if she was trying to rush me off the phone. I requested to speak to someone else who had time to answer my questions without a funky attitude, and there was no one else there. My issue isn't necessarily with the expired contract, as much as the fact that I gave my money to a company who hires inexperienced receptionists to handle professional matters. Customers should always come first, especially those who have paid for a service. And the fact that I gave my money to a company that doesn't want to take time to actively listen to my questions and provide clarification for their policies is troublesome to me. I'd say 1) go somewhere else where your money is valued and professionally handled and 2) don't sign up for a massage package! That's ridiculous. They have too many fine print rules, and it's a total waste of money if you have special circumstances preventing you from making every appointment. I was a little weary going to a spa chain but had read some decent reviews and thought I would try it out. I been having some back and neck pain along with feeling stressed ( that usually comes along with year end). I was looking for some pain relief along with a little relaxation but unfortunately did not feel any better after my appointment. The room was clean and overall my massage therapist was very kind. Unfortunately from the start of the massage to the end she seemed like she had no idea what she was doing. I expressed to her where I was feeling pain and tension and while she attempted to relieve some pain, due to her weak pressure and inability to tackle to tension head on I never felt any relief. I later found out that she was new to massage therapy which may be why she seemed so inexperienced. Overall the massage fell very flat and the day after I was more sore than before (which sometimes happens with a deep tissue massage but this was a Swedish/relaxation massage). She was also quite chatty, which made it hard to relax. read more

Ugh I rarely give one star reviews, but this place is deserving enough. I'm actually really disappointed because in Jan of 2017, my boyfriend at the time got my me a gift card to Elements off of Groupon. I went and had a 90 minute massage and enjoyed it! I usually go to Penzone's but with the Groupon, this was cheaper, so I told myself I'd have to come back. Fast forward to August of 2018 and I had just got done running my first full marathon. I wanted to treat myself and also have a therapist work out all of the kinks in my legs. Well I ended up with a therapist that was extremely difficult to understand. When she came in, she asked the reason for my visit, and I told her about my marathon, literally pointed to my legs and mentioned calves, hips, quads, etc. I'm not sure what her native language is, but I had to ask her to repeat herself 3-4 times and even then sometimes, I couldn't understand what she was saying. Now please don't misunderstand me to say that I was annoyed with her. It's equally my fault that I don't speak her language either. But she just kept talking! All I wanted was to relax and she kept talking about my muscles and asking me all these questions. And after I have to ask to repeat multiple times, I was highly frustrated that she kept talking. And it wasn't even talking, it was more chastising me. She kept talking about how my back was extremely tight, full of knots, etc. So she was asking my workout routine. When I told her I work out 5-6 days a week, she acted like it was ridiculous and said "no no no. You must give 2 day break." Yeah right....tell any marathoner coming in here that and they will laugh at you. It was very frustrating that she was nagging at me the whole time and made it difficult to relax. As time went on, I kept thinking "She'll get to my legs, eventually, right?" Well I'm sure you can tell how much disbelief I was in when she stood up (after what must have been 90 mins) and said "Ok go ahead and get dressed and I'll meet you up front." WHAT?! The ONLY reason I came in here was to get my legs massaged, specifically told my therapist that and the ONE part of my body she never touched was my legs. She spent the ENTIRE 90 minutes on back, neck, shoulders and arms. I am still in disbelief as I type this out. As I sat up, she asked if I preferred room temp or cold water and I told her room temp. I was pleased she asked because most places assume everyone likes cold water. Although I was pleased she asked, I walked out and she handed me a cold water. I reminded her I asked for room temp and she said she'd bring it to the lobby as I went to the bathroom. She never came out with it. As if that wasn't enough to annoy me, a few days later, they sent me a survey asking how my experience was and I told them everything! I gave them extremely low ratings, lots of written feedback, etc. One of the question even was "How can we make it right for you?" or something along those lines. I wrote to them that I wasn't trying to get anything from them but that it was not a good experience and that I should at least get 50% back on what I paid since the other 50% of my body wasn't even touched. Well here we are 5 months later and still NO ONE has reached out to me! Shame on you, Elements! You are an embarrassment. How dare you ask me for my feedback and when I provide it, don't even reach out to me to even apologize. Stop sending those surveys out if you don't even read them! Honestly a few of my coworkers told me they were going to get a massage at Elements and I told them my story and to never go there. I will continue to tell my story to all who are willing to listen. I don't know if the name was Jackie or someone else but my knees were bent to my thighs and a lot of weight was put on it, it was uncomfortable but hours later very, very painful. I had not had this happen before, and have had years experience with massages. It was a very firm massage, overall deep tissue, but although uncomfortable I thought it would pass and would be OK. It feels like injury. I don't know if I will get a massage again. The next person that went they said that it the masseuse did not do that motion with them. read more

Let's start with the good! This place is in a great location being stationed in the new part of Easton that still being built up. The receptionists were kind and hospitable, everything was clean and fresh.....so my bad experience I'm hoping was a one time only deal. I often prefer deep tissue massages mainly because of how I work. On this day, my spouse and I were in the same room. Relaxation massage for them, Deep Tissue for me. My masseuse initially got off to a good start then I noticed these long pauses followed by a quick jerk in his routine. Well, this happened more than 4 times to the point where I actually heard snoring. Yes, my masseuse often fell asleep during my massage. He halfway did my legs (which I mentioned were the focal point), he barely took time on my feet, never touched my arms, attempted to use pressure points which weren't executed properly. At the end he shook me and asked how I felt. When both therapists left the room I looked at my spouse who looked as if cloud 9 was their new home. When addressing this matter at the front desk, the original receptionists were gone and the new shift did absolutely nothing about it. I truly believe that was money wasted. I would've appreciated someone different if the older gentleman that did my massage was tired, or at best, some sort of compensation. I am always skeptical about going to a large chain massage place that usually ends every massage with a sales pitch for a membership. (Looking at you, Massage Envy). I recently gave Elements Massage a try and was pleasantly surprised. You are able to book online and they usually have same day appointments. I never know when I'm going to want a massage so it's very nice to know that I should always be able to get in on a whim. Albertina was my masseuse and she was wonderful. I prefer light to medium pressure and the whole experience was so relaxing. We talked before the massage about areas of focus and when she came in the room, she made sure the table temperature was alright and the lighting and then there was no talking from then on (which I prefer!) This was probably one of the best massages I have ever received. After the massage, I proceeded to the front desk where I assumed I was going to get the membership shpeal and completely fall out of relaxation mode. I didn't! So refreshing. She asked me if i had any questions and I asked her about the membership. She was clear and concise with the information without any pressure to buy on the spot. Because of this, I am more inclined to become a member, and I'm 95% sure I am going to do that tomorrow. So far, I'm a fan! read more

Not at all happy with the customer service we received here. When I came in to cancel my membership I told the associate that I just had my eyes dilated and that I needed her to tell me the key cancelation points. I specifically asked how long I had until my two massages on file would expire. She told me one year. I called recently to book my two massages and was told I longer had any on file. The person on the phone stated that the lady that told me I had a year to use them was no longer working there due to giving out false information. I find that highly unprofessional first of all. But I was very angry to discover that the original associate that cancelled my membership should have explained that if I transferred the two massages onto a gift card I would have 5 years to use them. I was not told that information. Why on Earth would I not have turned them in to a gift card? It logistically makes zero sense. I am beyond livid. I have worked in the beauty industry for 20 plus years. I have never run in to this level of unprofessionalism and misinformation. Needless to say we will not be back nor will I ever recommend your facility to any of my clients. read more

My husband bought me a gift card and my first 1 hour massage was nice. The therapist took her time to listen to my needs and instructions for stretches at home. I re booked with her but my 2 massage was completely different. She seemed so rushed and I felt blown off when I was trying to tell her what was bothering me. I purchased a gift card for my girlfriend for Christmas. She'd never had a massage before, here or otherwise. She has a very stressful and demanding life and I thought it would be the perfect gift. Unfortunately she and I were both disappointed by her experience. I think part of the issue comes from their online booking system, in which the names of their therapists are followed by what I assume are acronyms - SS and PN for example, as well as numbers like 2-3. One therapists right now has a designation of "3-4 (2)," whatever that means. I cannot say with certainty there is no key anywhere on their site, but after much looking I'm unable to find one. I even googled "massage pn ss" but found nothing. The result of her booking what I assume was the wrong acronym or number was a painful and very unrelaxing massage - something that no doubt has a place for certain people, but not for her. The bed warmer was apparently off as well. Whether or not this is standard for this type of massage I am not sure. I give this place two stars instead of one for a previous visit here by myself which was pleasant. But the cryptic nature of the acronyms and numbers when booking is maddening. It makes sense that something like 3-4 might indicate pressure level, but throwing the (2) in after it... what? read more

I had a groupon for 3 massages. I chose to have my massages leading up to and the day before my wedding. The first two were great. The third however was horrible. I chose the same massage therapist for all 3 massages, so I assumed I would receive the same quality throughout. On the day before my wedding, when I needed the massage to be better than ever, I noticed my therapist would use one hand and the same motion over and over- getting slower and then speeding up. While she was by my head and I was on my stomach, I heard another sound just as she went to one hand. I can't be positive since I didn't SEE it for myself, but I think she may have been on her phone. We got ripped off. We were advised to arrive 15 minutes before our couples massage appointment so we could fill out paperwork, check in, etc. We did. However we weren't even brought out of the waiting room until at LEAST 15 minutes AFTER the scheduled start time and didn't start until probably 20 minutes after our scheduled start time. We figured maybe we would still get the full hour we paid for and they would extend the end time but no. Essentially our massage was 20ish minutes shorter than it should have been and it was entirely their fault. When we called to say something they offered a 30 minute add on....to any 90 minute massage. Extremely poor customer service and the massage was so-so. Would not recommend to anyone. I've been coming here for years. I really enjoy the quality of the massages for the price you pay. My complaint is the constant rotation of staff and regular rescheduling of appointments. I really struggle to understand why every other appointment has to be rescheduled for one reason or another. We schedule appointments to match the availability of our time. Constant rescheduling really affects that. 1/15/19: I'm officially done with this place. I showed up on 1/14 for my scheduled massage just to find out that nobody "put it on the schedule". What does that mean? I have an email confirmation from these guys REMINDING ME that I have an appointment and when I show up they tell me I don't? The young lady at the counter offered to reschedule me for the next day so i begrudgingly agreed. They offered me a free upgrade for my massage for the inconvenience. This was supposed to be hot stones. Turns out therapist they put me with can only do salt stones..... Problem number 55775776 with these people.... So I agreed, again, to compromise. The therapist was terrible. She was rough, not consistent, paid no attention to the fact I was there to relax, made tons of noise with the stones, dropped one on my back, covered me in so much oil I looked like a greased chicken and the salt stones are so rough that my entire body feels exfoliated. She didn't listen to anything I tried to tell her. I literally walked out feeling 100% worse than I did when I went in. I told the lady at the counter my issues and said she would pass it on and then charged me still for the full massage.....They never do anything to make things right. Nothing ever happens .They lie on reviews and say they reach out to their customer, no they don't. I've been through this mess before with them and nobody ever calls me to fix their mistakes.
