I had threading done once... about 20 yrs ago... and it was beyond horrible. So horrible that I swore I'd never do it again and I stuck to waxing ever since. Having had some horrendously bad waxing experiences, about 10 months ago I just stopped and resorted to doing my own tweezing. Last week a co-worker talked me into trying threading and I'm so glad she did AND that I chose to go to Elegant Shapes for it. Linet did a really great job on my brows. I even got a huge compliment on my brows the very next day from someone who did not know I'd finally grown a pair and went for threading. THAT says a lot! The pain was truly minimal and nothing like I remember it being before. Absolutely worth it for the results!!! I'm hugely pleased with everything I experienced and I will go back again in a few weeks. Parking is ample and free. I love this place! I was a regular eyebrow waxer for years, but now that I have been exposed to the wonders of threading I will never go back! It is cheaper, hygienic, and accurate and I appreciate all of the artists in the salon. Seriously though, $12 for eyebrow threading is so much more reasonable than the $20 I was spending for a wax. Linette, Shabanna, and Alina are probably my three favorite, but you can't go wrong with any of them. Tell them what you want and they will do it. I typically do eyebrows, lip, and chin. I have sensitive skin so I always ask for them to apply witch hazel or alcohol before and after to prevent skin breakouts. The facials from Shabanna are fabulous too. Go on Monday's and Tuesday from 4-7pm for happy hour price on brows $10. I've only been here a few times but have had always great experiences. The ladies there really care about what you want done on your brows and make sure that it's clear before they get started. I had moved from out of town and was looking for a new eyebrow place. I had tried a few others in the area with good results but due to the great reviews I decided to try Elegant Shapes. My first visit was great. I forgot the name of the person who did my eyebrows but she was a sweet Indian lady and I loved how my brows came out which explains why I didn't give this place one star. The only thing that I wasn't quite thrilled about was the price. $13 for eyebrow threading doesn't seem too steep but I know other places who charge only about $10. Those few dollars do add up but still not a huge deal when you have great results. The next time I came to visit was certainly my last. I was hoping to get my eyebrows done by the same person but she was not there so I got them done by another girl, who again I did not get her name. Almost immediately I had a feeling things weren't gonna be great. The threading was extremely painful to the point where my eyes were getting watery. As someone who has been getting their eyebrows threaded regularly for the past 6 years, I know how much pain it brings. Usually when it hurts as much as it did, it is done by someone who is inexperienced or doing it wrong. Once she was done I finally got a look at my brows... they were uneven. When I brought it to her attention, she kinda looked like she didn't believe me but I lied back down and she tried to fix it. When I saw my brows after this, I was horrified. My eyebrows were very thin at this point. I prefer to keep my eyebrows medium thick and I had specified this before she began doing my brows. I brought the thinness to her attention and she rudely denied that they were thin and said that she wouldn't have been able to give my brows a shape otherwise. Now I am fortunate to naturally have full brows with a nice natural shape so I really don't understand what she was talking about when she said I wouldn't have had a shape. I had specified to keep the natural shape before starting. I did not wish you argue any further so I just decided to drop it. I paid (still left a tip for her time) and left and swore to never return. If you aren't going to listen to customer requests when they specifically tell you what they want then you don't deserve those customers. Now I go to Zohra Threading where they only charge $10 and do amazing brows read more

I am new to eyebrow threading, but I love it. So far, I have had the threading done twice and both times were at Elegant Shapes. I use to have my eyebrows waxed, but my face would breakout after having the hot wax on my skin. The threading leaves my eyebrows slightly red for only a half hour or so, then the redness goes away and my skin does not break out after. I have had Alina and Kathy do the threading at the Elegant Shapes and loved them both. The $12 price is great and the service is super fast! Reasonably priced and I have had good experiences with several different women who do the threading here. I have never broken out in pimples because they put a antibacterial astringent on after. WOW. WOW. WOW. I just moved to Santa Clarita and was so nervous to find a new eyebrow stylist. For most of my life I went to ladies who didn't know how to get my brows to arch and would tell me how horrible my eyebrows are. For the past year I've been going to a woman in San Diego (where I'm from) who was working on getting my brows to grow in the right places so that I could have the arch I wanted. For this reason I was nervous of finding someone who could possibly ruin what we've worked so hard to achieve. After looking on Yelp for weeks, I finally decided to give Elegant Shapes a try. I was able to schedule a weekend appointment without much notice. I didn't ask for anyone specific since the Yelp reviews seem to reference so many different artists. I was greeted immediately and was seated with Jeet. I explained to her that I have been trying to get arched brows for a long time. She smirked, and now I know why. She knows exactly what she's doing! I was blown away. Her threading technique is perfect. I had very slight pain - nothing like past experiences with wax or threading - and the arch?! OMG!! Best eyebrows I've ever had. No joke. I wish I took a before and after picture. Jeet is my hero and I'll absolutely be coming to her on a regular basis. I LOVE that they have an eyebrow threading stamp card (buy 9 get the 10th free) and that the threading is only $13. If you're on the edge about trying Elegant Shapes, don't be. This place was okay. The woman who did my moms brows did a great job, she was satisfied. The different woman who did my brows was very confident but she did not do a good job. The shape was there. By the end she asked me if I wanted her to fill in my brows with product, it turns out there was a big gap in them, in the middle of my brow. My brows were grown out so there was no reason for it. As she was doing my brows she kept asking me "this is all they grow?". Very rude in my opinion as I have light/sparse brows. They are pretty over priced, possibly because they are in a nice location, not because they do good brows. It's not a big deal but it shouldn't have happened. I won't be coming back. read more

First off, let me start by saying that I am soooo picky when it comes to who I let touch my eyebrows. With that said, I went on a yelp search for a good waxing salon in the area. I found Elegant shapes and decided it was worth a try. When I called, the lady on the phone was very sweet and kind. Boy, was I wrong about the sweet and kind part! I arrive to my appointment to find a miserable 14 - year old looking receptionist who could barely give me the time of day! Our conversation: Me: HI! (yeah i said hi first!) 14 year old *****: What do you need? Me: I have an appointment at 3:00. 14 Year old *****: ok? Me: ( five minutes later) Should I sit down and wait? 14 year old ****: I guess? WTF you guess??!?!?!? Oh hell no! I proceeded to sit and continue to sit for a good 20 minutes until a lady came from the back and told me it would only be a few more minutes (grrrr). Mind you, I was having my eyebrows waxed as opposed to threaded but it still should not have taken so long. The lady took me to the room and proceeded to wax my beloved eyebrows. She was very sweet and I wish I could give her sweetness five stars however, she made my eyebrows wayyyyy too thin for my liking. So with the 14 year old receptionist ***** and my thin eyebrows this place gets 2 stars! I don't have the heart to give it 1 star because of how nice the waxing lady was! I had there eyelash services done. I was told that this service was regular eyelash extensions, the only difference would be that the glue was a temporary glue, not the same glue other salons use. Let me tell you, these eyelash extensions were NOTHING like what I am used to. I have had eyelash extensions done at other salons, but nothing like these! These extensions looked like a fuzzy fake strip lash that was super glued on. Thats all. Not only that, but the glue was HORRIFIC. the same night I had my lashes done, a huge clump of these fuzzy fakes fell off, taking a chunk of my REAL lashes with them!! My eyelashes are now completely distroyed because of thus experience. Dont do there eyelash services!! read more
