Very clean - long lasting nails - good prices Powder dip nails always last me at least 3 weeks. They use a new plastic bag to line the bowl for each pedicure. I see them clean things with alcohol. The technicians wear masks. The space is well-ventilated and bright. Staff are pleasant and professional - they carry your purse for you so you don't wreak your new manicure. They are very kind to my 92-year-old dad when I bring him for a manicure/pedicure. I have gone 1-2 times per month for over 8 years - over 100 visits. For the price I'm mad I paid and it's been only a week and my manicure is broke on both thumb nails. I wasn't even rough with it. UPDATE: went back today 1/29/2020 and got my money back. It was a bit of an ordeal. After back and forth for about five minutes and them making a few calls I did get my refund. They asked for me to take the post down for me to get my money back. I do think people should know this can happen though and that this type of work did come out of this salon. Not all the work is bad. Where do I start. So I went in Friday January 17th to get my nails done for my birthday. I don't just have money to blow around but i wanted to treat myself for my birthday. I went in and showed one of the ladies a picture of ombré pink and white nails. I even told her they could use whatever they needed to make it look like the picture. I asked multiple times if they had the ability to do this. She began to say yes yes that they can use the dip powder to achieve this look. We picked out the pink that came closest to the picture. The women who did my nails I believe her name was "Pow" if I remember correctly. She began putting on the nail tips, I wanted a bit of length. A few of the nails she glued on were crooked, but I thought it'll even out once filed and everything. I told her I wanted squared but a little tappered at the tip, I didn't really get that at all. The lady who originally told me it was possible to make my nails look like this told Pow to do one nail to see if I liked it. She did one, after many many layers of dip powder and my finger looking as thick as a grape I gave in and just said it looked fine. It was NO where near ombré or even a fade, but again I thought it'll l blend when buffed out. She continued the other nails but never kept the consistency, so each nail looked different. Some had harsh lines between pink and white, some one layer of pink some two layers. Most had a distinct white line and zero ombré effect at all, which was all I said I really wanted was ombré. I said NO line please. I kid you not I had like 5-6 layers of dip powder on my nails and they were lumpy and all looked different. They did not look good...but again I am too optimistic I guess because I thought it'll be fine. I told her a few times pleaseeee make them thin (especially because they were crazy thick). She buffed them and they were still thick, and now lumpy. She didn't evenly file them down. At this point I realized these are horrible, and they cannot be fixed. I mean what nail tech leaves someone's nails that, I'm serious every nail was "faded" differently.. although non of them were even close to the picture I showed them all. I told her to not put a top coat on, as at this point I knew I was going home and going to have to take them off. My birthday was the 19th and I wasn't leaving my nails like this. It costed me $50, and they were the worst i have seen. After 2 hours of ripping, picking, and soaking my nails in acetone I got I'd say half of them off. My nails were bleeding, and my nails were at their best when I went in there. So I spent $50 to have to rip my nails apart. I go here often, and I have never been so unhappy with my nails as I was the other day, when I say they were lumpy, uneven, crooked and extremely thick, I mean it altogether the nails looked horrible. I got in the car after I left elegant nails and just cried because I didn't have that extra $50 to just toss out the window in the first place, i was trying to treat myself and do something nice and pamper myself for my birthday and my nails looked like that. My nails are in extremely rough shape now and just keep breaking, some spots are completely bare from having to pull the nails off. Since this occurrence I've been trying to call to see what they can do for me I want my money back I don't want a gift card I don't want to come in so they can redo them I want my money back and every time I've called to speak to the manager who I am familiar with, I have been told that she isn't in and that they won't know or don't know when she will be back in that she comes and goes, although when I called Monday afternoon I was told that she would be in on Tuesday morning and as I just called this morning I was told that she is not there and no one can tell me when she will be. I am extremely dissatisfied and unhappy with this place. And I WILL get my money back. When I showed them that picture, if they knew that they wouldn't be able to make it look like that or they were unsure of their capabilities to make my nails look like that they should have never taken my business because now all they've gotten is an unhappy, annoyed, and dissatisfied customer that will not be returning to their shop. read more

I'm pretty excited I've found a nail place that : 1. Takes appointments OR walk ins 2. Does a GOOD job on both Acrylics, Gels, or Plain old Polish Manicures 3. Does a BETTER job at pedicures (with option for spa or not) 4. Does the BEST job at Waxing ( I'm ultra picky with my eyebrows and a woolly mammoth) 5. The staff isn't obnoxiously talking about you (you just know it when they are) 6. Accommodates requests without any guff or eye rolling The ONLY problem I can foresee here, is because they are so awesome its hard to keep a secret and they can get super busy, especially on Saturday and after work hours. They are however open till 7pm, but I hate to be that jerk that comes in at 6:30 and asks for a full set or something ridiculous. I have in fact come in that late and desperately needed a pedicure (it was like having two electric sanders strapped to my feet.) They took me in and when I asked for a manicure to follow, feet now in the water, they didn't seem thrilled for the rush, but didn't refuse the business. Another girl came and worked on my hands as I was finishing up my pedi and I left a few mins after 7. THAT was impressive and it wasn't a rushed or botched job at all.. my pedis always last me at very least 3 weeks, usually up to 5 or 6. And a gel manicure from Elegant always looks flawless for weeks. Waxing so far here has been a positive experience. My eyebrows are fine one day and out of control the next. Its nice to find that everyone here that waxes can also shape really well, and on that note - they don't leave the wax at 1000000 degrees, blow on it (spitting on your face or letting you know what they had for lunch) , they actually keep their wax at a normal temperature and it is far less painful. GO FIGURE! Someone is going to have to persuade me heavily to go elsewhere cause I really am stoked to find this one! read more

I wish I had as good of an experience here as others have but unfortunately that is not the case. My friend said she gets her nail done here and that they do a good job so I decided to try it out with her. About two weeks before we got our nails done together she had gone with her sister to get a gel manicure. I thought it was weird that she already needed a new one so quickly but I didn't put much more thought into it. Fast forward to today-- it's been one week since I spent $81 on a gel manicure and pedicure and the nail polish is completely coming off. What really angers me is that this started THREE days after I got them done. Three days!!!!! While they did a good job initially, for $81 this should've lasted way longer. During the summer I went to Couture Nails in Worcester and got a gel manicure and pedicure for around the same price and it lasted for well over a month. I was the one who actually had to take off gel on my nails because they had grown so much and it was starting to look a bit ridiculous. Based off of my friend needing a new gel mani after two weeks, I would have to say that this place is just bad with them. It seems like they excel in other areas like acrylics. I've had an experience of nail gel manicure today and i was very disappointed because one lady, she cuts my cuticle too strong until it's bleeding. Omg. And it's so hurt now:( why nail salon recruiting someone that can't be gentle on taking care of someone's nail. So not professional. I was not happy with my old nail salon and needed a desperate change. So onto Yelp I go and search in my area where there was a nail salon where I could get happy again! I found it! Elegant Nails is awesome! The people are sooo friendly and warm to everyone that comes in. I was immediately escorted into the pedicure area, seated and shown all the buttons for the massage chair while my toes got pampered. Lucy was awesome! She was informative and carried on a great conversation with me throughout my whole pedicure! Very nice surroundings, bright and cheerful. I noticed that Lucy took out all her tools right out of the autoclave so I know they are careful with sterilization. I noticed that someone always came by to check to see if anything was needed and if I was happy. Amazing! YAY! I was very happy with my whole pedicure, the price was just right and the people were wonderful! I can't wait to get my gels done on my fingers! Horrible worst experience. I have been coming to this Salon before and the Owner has been rude before because I brought my own polish or didn't get Gel nails ,etc. but continued to go because near my home and stores, etc. Nothing compared to the TERRIBLE experience I had yesterday. Firstly, I was punished because I did not tell the nail tech that I had gel polish on my toes, he scolded me saying I should have told him. I was in a nice relaxed mood so I just apologized expecting the service to become better trying to be positive and be a good sport. But Everything just got WORSE. I requested to just have toes filed down but not cut. I assumed he was aware that each nail should be same length . Instead he never filed, never buffed, nothing, and left all toes different lengths. I figured I'd at least have a nice ending job even if he was rude. Not the case, I was treated poorly plus my toenails looked atrocious! I informed the owner, who became irritated and told me that the nail tech was never rude to me. (Although she was no where near the pedicure area to witness, ) No price lowering, No Apology , NOTHING, just rudeness and blaming me because I was treated poorly and I called them out on it and requested my nails get fixed. Let me say, I am VERY meticulous and picky about my rounded stiletto shape, evenness to my nail bed, and smoothness. The gentleman I saw today far exceeded my expectation on that. His demeanor was also very enjoyable and even uplifting as he seemed genuinely interested in conversation and continuing it. The only half negative thing I can say is the ombré effect wasn't "perfect", but it IS a fairly new technique to the market and he still made them look very presentable! A friend and I went in to get a mani-pedi. We had an appointment for 9:00 as well as 7 other people. We waited about 20 minutes when my friend was seated in a chair for a pedicure and I was seated in a chair to get my nails done. My friend waited about 5 minutes and someone came over to her. I waited for another 20 minutes and no one came over. I asked how long. She said someone should be over soon. Waited another 5-10 minutes and no one was still there. I went outside. The owner came over asked if I was ready I told her I wasn't doing it anymore I waited for an hour. She was unprofessional didn't apologize all she said was OK. I recently received a pedicure at Elegant Nails. My pedicurist was very sweet and did a great job on my nails. Of course, being the klutz that I am, I immediately smudged one of the toenails by wrenching it against a pedal in my car two minutes after I had left. ( I had not been able to stay until they were fully dry as I had a doctor's apt.) When I turned around and went back to the salon they could not have been nicer, and would not let me pay to have the girl fix my smudged nail. I would definitely go back! read more

Went here to get an acrylic overlay. A week and a half later went to my normal salon to get a fill. First she had to remove the set because it was lifting from my nail. This caused water & moisture to go under my nail and my nail started to grow FUNGUS! I'm absolutely disgusted and will never be returning. read more

My sister & I went here together as a birthday gift/celebration and the girl who took care of my sister for our Spa Pedicures hurt her repeatedly and cut her so badly my sister is still in pain almost a week later! Unfortunately I did notice this girl (they didn't tell us their names) looked very troubled and not too healthy....she seemed distracted and although my sister told her over and over that she was hurting her she continued to do so! Second time getting my nails done there. Sorry to say not happy both time. The first time I got a gel manicure the girl who did my nails did not do a "neat" job. My nails look like I had done it myself which defeats the whole point of getting my nails done at the salon. Just got a manicure a few minutes ago and I'm extremely disappointed. First I had to point out cuticles around several of my nails that needed to be cleaned better which she did, but still not great. Then she painted my nails but missed all the edges on the sides of my nails! I also pointed them out but then I ended with 3 coats of thick nail polish on my nails and she still didn't get all the edges. To make matters worse, she removed a strand of cotton (string thing) messing up the nail polish, as she removed those she smudge one of my nails!!! Urrgg!!! Needless to say, I told her it was fine since I needed to leave. This is my first review ever, definitely not going back to this place! read more
