When I was looking for a seamstress to get alterations done for my wedding dress I came across Elegant Brides. I am so happy I brought my dress here! My wedding dress has a very long train and I'm 5' tall so there was a lot of length to take off and Shari did amazing! This was our first time there and this will be our destination for my daughters formal events and someday, her wedding. The store is a little small, but they have so many beautiful dresses to choose from. Don't let the size dissuade from checking it out. The kind of customer service we received from Shari was exceptional. The dress my daughter picked did not have straps attached, so Shari sewed straps and made a minor update while we waited. She was extremely patient as you know teens can take a while to make a decision. (: Her patience and attention to detail is not something you see in businesses anymore. They have terrible business practices. They will sell you a dress and not tell you the price of alterations till you have them done, surprise! Then claim there is a sign on the wall telling of additional fees, but not what those fees will be. They are rude and snotty. I won't shop there again. read more

I cannot say enough how thankful I am for Shari at Elegant Brides! First, I had measurements for my wedding dress done by her, which was quick, easy, and affordable. I had an elopement and ordered my dress off Etsy and it arrived only a couple weeks before my destination wedding and needed it altered in one week. I was so worried about it not being altered in time but Shari calmed my nerves and told me to bring it in and she'd have it done that week, and she did!! Absolutely great experience! I went in with a couple ideas from the marysbridal online store. One of the ones I really liked was in stock and while Sheri said she could order the other ones that I liked she found similar ones for me to try on. Very thankful I was able to try them on because I ended up not loving them. One was sleeved and gorgeous and the other was nude color under the lace, but did not do my skin tone any favors. Sheri then brought out a dress she thought I may like and it ended up being the one! I felt very comfortable and relaxed around her and had a great experience. I also loved how it is a smaller local shop ( love supporting small local businesses!) had a great selection in store with the possibility of ordering from Mary's bridal, customer service was great, and the price was great too! I went to Elegant Brides as a desperate attempt for find a flattering dress for myself (63 year old mother of the groom), I had searched the internet for weeks, found dress to low cut, to short, sleeveless, to expensive, I think you get the point. I saw Elegant Brides from hwy 69, and thought I would take a chance. I was warmly greeted when I walked in the door. Sheri found the perfect dress for me. During the alteration Sheri found a few spots on the dress, took to cleaners , did not come out. Sheri ordered another dress, arrived in 2 days, did alterations and I was on my way. It looked amazing and it only cost $125!!!!! I bought the dress for $1000 and got estimates in the hundreds. Sherry did all the alterations in 3 weeks. If I could give this company 0 Stars I would. I have never had worse customer service in my life. I dropped off a comforter for repair the lady said it would be ready on Monday. Monday came and went and I called them on Thursday, left a voicemail and nobody returned my call. I called again the following week left a voicemail and again, nobody returned my call. The third week comes and I call again, nobody returns my voice mail a third time, so I go over to there to pick up my item and they hadn't even started on it! Needless to say I grabbed my comforter and left. My son went three weeks without a comforter on his bed because of this unreliable place and I am extremely disappointed I would never use this company or recommend them to anyone. If you are okay with doing business with people that don't follow through with what they say they're going to do. Go ahead and use this company otherwise run. read more

I have been going to see Shari here at Elegant Brides since my Sophomore year of high school so about 5 years now. She is absolutely incredible. Whether it is with finding the perfect dress of your dreams, helping with alterations, or helping with tux rentals she does it all. But the best experience I had was most recently when she helped me find the perfect dress for my wedding at the last minute AND managed to get the alterations done in time AND have my fiancée's vest and bow time ordered in time. This is to Elaina S., I was there trying on my dress the day you and your family came into Elegant Brides, I found it odd that you have stated that "Our whole phone conversation she was interrupting me and being completely unprofessional! She kept telling me NOPE while I was talking!" When I was there, there was also the Prescott Valley Police department there and they had to warn you to stop interrupting and being defiant or you would be arrested. They also warned you about slander. I would like to say that Sherry at Elegant Brides is a very professional person and has done the dresses and tuxes for all of my children and myself. I also know that you and all of her customers have to sign a waiver on the bottom of the order form that states if you ruin the tux you are responsible for the replacement of the tux. If you brother is only 17 and attending your 15 year olds sisters quinceanera then there must have been a parent signature (I would assume they know how to read English and know what they are signing) this waiver is very clear. I would assume that your brother was wearing the pants as low as possible and ruined them on his own free will and you got caught breaking the rules. Own up to your mistake and stop slandering a good and professional local business. Let me remind you that the state of Arizona is quite clear on the subject of slander. You need to educate yourself with the Arizona Revised Statues and look up Hirsch vs. Cooper. If you continue with this slander I will recommend to Sherry that she file a law suit against you and may I remind you that the Prescott Valley Police were there to see your behavior. I also remember that you and your family refused to take the pants with you. If anyone would like to see the pants they are on display at Elegant Brides as an example to not following the agreement. I went into the cute little shop and was warmly greeted. I told the lady what I was looking for and she pointed me in the right direction. I picked two dresses that were simple and nice to try on. She made some suggestions for me. The first dress I tried on was the one I bought. It fit perfectly and didn't need any alterations. I went to the shop a few times. The owner is a scatter brain never focused on one thing. The alterations we got on one wedding gown was horrible and the day of the wedding we found pins in the dress and spot she never fixed. One of the bridesmaids had to take her dress to someone else to have it fixed after Sheri got her hands on it. I also purchased another dress that she can not (and I don't want her to) do anything with because she's had surgery. Trying to get a hold of her is like pulling teeth from a rhino.
