All of the stains that were on the dress before were basically gone. The service is all throughout the Bay Area (and parts of Southern California)! I knew I wanted my gown cleaned and also realized it made sense to preserve since I wasn't sure what I'll do with my gown yet in the future. While time is of the essence when sending your gown in for any cleaning/preserving, I thankfully had no issues sending mine in a few weeks after my wedding date. My wedding ceremony was outdoors so my hem naturally had some dirt on it but nothing too major and the cost was the lowest they offer which was great to see! My gown was fitted, ivory-colored and with a classic, romantic vibe with some subtle shimmery lacing and beading around the chest and hips but otherwise smooth and silky feeling. While it's not among the most extravagant of gown budgets or designs, I felt that it would be worth preserving the one-of-a-kind memories within this dress for such a special day to have as a keepsake. After all, chances are this is the most amount of money you or a loved one has spent on a dress ever! I was recommended this company by my bridal shop. I purchased my dress a couple of years ago when the pandemic had started and the wedding just kept getting held back. Now that I'm finally getting married in may of next year, I opened up my dress and found that it had yellowed (this is what I get for storing it in the guest room where it gets hot in the summer). I called elegance preserved and they picked up my dress for free, gave me an estimate of the cost a couple days later (they won't touch your dress without your permission by you approving the estimate) and personally delivered it back to me. The whole process was smooth and I have to say I'm actually impressed at how neatly the dress was presented back to me. The last dress she picked was the one I ended up saying Yes! too and I almost didn't try it on. The associate was so knowledgeable and knew my vision so I was able to modify a few things on the dress to get to my perfect vision! After my wedding, I knew I wanted to keep my dress without a question. My venue was outdoors so the bottom was a bit dirty and needed some attention. I found the PERFECT dress at BoLee Bridal in 2018. It was the Willowby Philomena gown and had tulle, lace, and beading. After I was married in September 2019, it took quite a long time for me to find a place to get my dress cleaned & preserved as I was worried my dress would be damaged in the process. Also, let's be real, cleaning and preservation is not cheap and paying for a service that wouldn't be top notch would not be worth it. I found Elegance Preserved through Google and saw them on a number of other websites as well and I am SO glad I worked with the San Mateo location. The service they provided is unparalleled! They answered my many questions, shared their concerns after dress inspection, set expectations, but most importantly, let me know they would get my dress back to new without compromising any structure of the fabrics. Since COVID their process has changed and it is all based on a pickup/delivery service and emails for the quotes and inspection. Seriously, trust the process, it was such a great experience. I purchased my dress from BHLDN. My dress is the Olson gown which has beautiful layers of tulle, satin, and lace. I also had a cathedral length veil and a custom face mask made from the layers of my dress that were cut off from the hem. The dress, veil and mask were wonderfully cleaned. There was makeup all over my face mask and they got the make-up stains off! The face mask will be a reminder of a pandemic wedding. I also loved how Elegance Preserved folded and stored the long veil. It has been a struggle for me to figure out how to best store the veil and they managed to do it gracefully in layers of tissue. I found EP online after doing some research. I liked how easy it was to get ahold of them online or through text. Receiving the quote was also an easy process. It is a little pricey but well worth it. I would ask them if they have any discounts they could offer. I was a little hesitant about preserving my dress but after reading about their process and their methods, I felt comfortable that they would take care of my dress and clean and preserve it properly. It took about three months for me to receive my dress back and they were very accurate with their quoted timelines. EP also did free pick-up and delivery which I thought was great and super easy. I was married in January 2020 and finally got around to thinking about cleaning and preserving my gown about a year later. I knew my dress would be a challenge because we had taken photos outside our venue on the streets of SF. Needless to say, the bottom of my dress was completely dirty. Also, a drink (white wine, thankfully) was spilled on my dress during the wedding reception too, which left a large stain. I filled out the contact information online and I was contacted right away and given a pick up time where they would come to retrieve my dress from my home. I am so happy with the service I received from Elegance Preserved. I purchased my dress, a beautiful gown by Allure Couture, at Janene's Bridal Boutique. I saw many gown preservation kits online, but I didn't feel like I could completely trust them with such a special (and pricey) dress. My dress featured many layers, different materials, beaded appliqués, and a long train, and I felt the most comfortable with the expertise at Elegance Preserved to professionally clean and preserve my gown. Even better, Janene's Bridal provided a $100 discount to use for their services. The process was very easy. I submitted a form online with my information, had my dress picked up at my home (a convenient service since their physical location is closed because of the pandemic), and received a quote for services. If you want, you can schedule a FaceTime call to view your dress after services are completed. I received my dress back via home delivery a little less than three months later. My gown was packaged securely in a box with many layers of acid-free tissue paper. The box came with a muslin cover for storage. Gloves were provided inside the box. It was easier than I thought to examine parts of the dress without completely taking it out of the box. The dress smelled nice, and the dirt I noticed on it before was gone. Unlike most who were referred to Elegance Preserved, I found them via searching online. Their website was very clear with what they do and how the process worked from the time they receive the dress, to the time they hand clean it, to the time you receive it. There were options as to how you'd like to have your dress stored, and no where did I find my questions weren't answered. Filling out the online form, to bringing the dress to the drop off store was everything the website stated. There weren't any surprises at all. That's rare, but I'm telling you this company is exceptional. My daughter's wedding dress, her Chinese red silk dress, and her short waist long sleeve jacket were all professionally and carefully cleaned, preserved together, and carefully stored in an archival box with a muslin protective cover over the box. I worked with Olivia who was absolutely fabulous at the San Mateo store from start to finish. At no time was I worried about any piece of my daughter's wedding apparel because the staff at Elegance Preserved made sure to communicate with me every step of the way and in particular to the silk dress where the dye can lighten with cleaning. The turn around time spent was about three months which is just right given the time of the year (wedding season). After the three months, the dress was preserved beautifully. Because my daughter had three pieces, I felt the price was excellent. I am extremely pleased with Elegance Preserved and I wouldn't hesitate with using them again because of how careful they are with the materials they were working with. I was helped by Olivia, she was great and really calmed me down. I was super nervous! It was my wedding dress! They walked me through the process and told me the completion dates. It seemed a bit long, but it wasn't a problem. They told me I could have the dress back sooner if needed, but I wasn't in any rush.
