I had an appointment at Sunnyvale Tesla past Friday Aug 14 2020; due to a suspension problem that the vehicle flagged on the dashboard. Tesla service told me the job will take a week, but could not offer a loaner, as they didn't have any and the enterprise rental didn't either. I commute everyday and I could not go without a car. On a Friday, afternoon, I called different places to look for a Tesla certified private auto shop who could look at my car and repair the suspension issue in time, so I could still have a car to commute for work on weekdays. I found Arseen Autobody, located in San Jose, and they were extremely polite on the phone, they listened to my concern and accommodated me that same day. I met Gio and Sarge; they ran a detailed diagnostic on my Tesla and within minutes they found the problem, they fixed it and I was on my way home in my own car. I was amazed by the professionalism shown by the staff in Arseen, especially Sarge, Gio and another gentleman who was in their tech uniform (apologize, as I don't recall his name), they are honest, efficient and professional team. It always sucks to be in a car accident and it's such a pain in the ass to have to get a car repaired! Luckily, Geico made it easy for me because they've paired up with Arseen Auto Body Shop, where Enterprise was also in the same building. I've used Arseen twice and both times they did an excellent job repairing the passenger side of my car and customer service was great! The second time my car had to be repaired they said it would take 10 days but it turned out it took longer. Nina assured me they would pay for the extra days for the rental car since it was their fault that they didn't finish it in 10 days. It was a relief not to see extra fees on my Enterprise bill. Wooo! The only thing that bothers me is that they freakin' forgot to return the chrome emblems on the back of my car! It's taped up, rolling around in my car every time I drive. Grrrr!!!!!! With my busy schedule and laziness I haven't gone back to have them fix it. This happened in August 2012 so hopefully when I go back to complain they will gladly put it back. Last week someone backed into my car while it was parked. My driver side passenger door got dented in pretty good and the frame got bent as well. The guy that hit us called his insurance and admit it was his fault. Geico recommended Arseen to my husband. He made an appointment for me to take the car in at 2pm today for an estimate. I arrived 10 mins before my appointment with Greg. I let the front desk know who I was there to see and they told me to have a seat so they could get him for me. Greg came over a few mins after and we went outside to look at the car. Greg was really nice and explained everything that would be done if I had the car fixed there. He wrote my estimate and asked if I had decided on where I wanted to get the car fixed. I told him I would discuss it with my husband. The shop is HUGE and nice inside. I got my Tesla M3 referred by insurance adjuster to Tesla bodyshop by Feb 24 . I called them, then emailed and waited for couple of days for their response. I also called another popular shop in San Jose and was told it would take 4-5 weeks while my insurance pays car rental enough for 3-4 weeks only. The Tesla bodyshop later emailed me on March 13 telling me the earliest appointment is first week of May When I contacted Arseen Auto Body, I got response by Sarge. He explained to me the procedure. He invited me to visit his shop, answered all my questions. I decided to use his shop then got my car back within 3 weeks. Great customer services! Very fast and professional work. TL;DR: they take as long as possible, most people seem to need more time/repairs even after the estimate date, and they don't communicate or give updates. Notice a pattern of a lot of 1 stars over the last few months? Just take it to a place you trust. I was involved in an auto accident and came here on the advice of my insurance, Geico. I looked up the yelp reviews and approved it. I brought in my car immediately on Sep 19th, we went over the damage pointing out everything that needed to be done, and they gave me an estimate for it being done on Oct 5th (a Friday). I got the text updates on its status, and on Oct 5th I went in to pick it up. As we were going over the car there was clearly still damage to the front bumper, and I asked why wasn't that fixed. The mechanics response was that "it wasn't approved because we can't prove that damage came from the accident since there's a gap between this damage and that damage" uhm I got t boned by a pickup truck and spun around 3 times and stopped in barrier guards, what do you think I'm out there doing? laying bumper cars? Where do you think the damage came from? He told me if I left the car there over the weekend he could talk to the agent, get it approved first thing on Monday and have it by the end of day of Monday. Dang, more rental fees but whatever I need it fixed. So Monday comes and I don't get a call, so I call them in the afternoon. I get a callback from the agent and she apologizes and says that she hasn't been on site while my car was being fixed, that why there was an oversight and that I have two options:1) take $500 as it is or 2)leave it there longer and get it fixed. I chose to just get it fixed since it was already there. Man do I regret not just taking the money and my car somewhere else. So the agent tells me that it will be done by Tuesday, Wednesday at the latest. I don't get any updates at all on Tuesday, not even by the end of the day, so here it is Wednesday afternoon and I have to call them for an update. I call the shop and am told that it won't be done till at least Friday. FRIDAY!?!!! To fix scratches on the bumper?!?? From the 5th to the 12th to fix it?? Now after I complained they just called me and said it will be done on Thursday. He said the delay was that they needed to get it approved by the agent. I told him I spoke with the agent on Monday and it was approved then. Makes no sense. I'm very upset as this is costing me more in rental fees, is making me take time off work, is just very frustrating. I would not recommend this place, just take it to a place you trust. Updated:raised to 3 stars out of guilt. They did take off $100 for the inconvenience. There was some paint stains on the passenger seat, and a new scratch on the back of the car but at that point I just wanted to take my car. When I brought the car in I had two "dgdg" plates, when it was returned I had one license plate and one "dgdg" plate. Not sure how that happened, how they got one plate. read more

Avoid at all cost. Car got in to do repair. Took in more than a month and they keep delaying on the due dates. Ended up almost 2 months. Car Insurance only paid up to 1 month car rental. Therefore, we called in to explain the situation that we are not able to pay extra rental. The manager promise to pay for the extra days for rental. Therefore, we allowed them to continue on the repair. At the end, they said they only pay up to 6 days. If you are ready for endless due date extension, please help yourself out. read more

Let's face it, it's rarely an enjoyable experience when you've got to visit a body shop unless you're doing some cool modification ;) A young man on his way to work dropping off his mother (I know right?) Had an accident with my parked car. Using his insurance (Geico - whose been doing an amazing job btw) referred me to Arseen. Now Arseen is off of old San Jose road and that area is sketchy to put it best, but once you arrive at Arseen's shop you're immediately blown away by the campus. It's meticulous inside and out. I was greeted by a nice woman right on time for my scheduled appointment. Within a few moments Anthony greeted me, reviewed the car, I signed, and he estimated the car would be repaired by Friday (in two days). I was then on my way - a total of 8 minutes. An hour or two later Arseen had communicated with Geico the damage, Geico approved, and we are on schedule for a Friday pickup. I've got to say Anthony is a great, efficient & friendly. Second time using Arseen Auto Body and I am happy I did. First time was for a hit in run on my jag -some minor bumper damages, which they fixed without problem. This time was for my new Tesla, just my luck, happened to be another hit and run! I wanted to use someone on the Tesla certified list and just my luck Arseen was on there. I was a little worried because they were not on State Farms list, but I really wanted to go with someone that Tesla certified/or suggested. Although it took a little bit more work on my end by first having to take it to a State Farm certified shop for appraisal, wait for payment (which ended up being immediate) then take it to my shop of choice, it ended up being worth it. I received an email from Anthony at Arseen saying to call them right away as I had cashed the check from Geico and had not paid them for a repair three months ago. The truth is I signed the check over to them the day I took my car in for repair. I replied to the email with that information and received an even more accusatory response from Anthony. I went down to the shop and spoke in person to Anthony. After conferring with his boss, he told me, "nevermind, we're good". He said "HR had been on him to get it resolved". I've never known an HR department to be involved in "bill collecting" but whatever. Still no excuse for sending emails accusing the customer of trying to scam the company without looking into the issue pretty deeply beforehand. The other thing I can't figure out is why it took 3 months for them to decide they didn't think they had been paid. In conclusion, as with my first post, body work - good, customer service - sucks. read more

I was approved by insurance to get my car repaired from an accident and when I picked it up it still had damage. Tom would not repair my car completely even with my insurance approving the repairs. Bill was so good & kept me informed every step of the way & went above and beyond my expectations of taking care of my truck. Within 2 1/2 days, I got my truck back & it looked BEAUTIFUL! I took my truck in dirty, scratched & windows all dusty. When I got my truck back, not only did they fix the bumper where I was hit, but they detailed it & made sure my alignment wasn't grown off from impact. I brought my vehicle because I was involved in rear end collision. From the moment I dropped off and picked up my vehicle I had no complaints. Every time I called to get updates the receptionist gave me thorough details about what was going on :) .. Matthew S is who worked on my car and I am very satisfied with the work that was done on it. He explained in detailed what was done on the vehicle from top to bottom. There was a discrepancy regarding my deductible that should've been waived, but my adjuster never made that message across to the shop so Matthew went out and beyond to contact my insurance regarding this (let me remind you that this was on a Friday close to their closing time of 5 p.m.) he could've easily said you can call your insurance to figure that out, but no, he took that extra step and got that issue resolved. I left a very happy customer. Hopefully I don't need to come back, but if I do I'll be coming back to Arseen Auto Body. read more

My car was hit by a random flying tire just before Christmas :( Contacted my insurance company and was referred to Arseen auto. Overall an excellent experience, i was greeted warmly by the receptionist upon entry who asked me a few simple questions (what insurance company are you with... what are you here for, your car model...) and then instructed me to wait in the waiting area. After couple minutes, I was greeted by Manny, he is very friendly, clearly explained the process and patiently answered all my questions. I went back a couple times to drop off then pick up my car, he is very professional and remembers me :) great guy! Also offered me a special deal for rental car, though i was not able to take up on that offer for other reasons. I had to replace the whole back lid of my tC, i was concerned the paint job would be different from the original and my car would look off but Arseen did a good job with that. They even cleaned the floor mats to my car. I appreciate their honesty and integrity too because I did not completely empty out my car before sending it in, but all my stuff are still there when I got the car back :) Would definitely recommend Arseen! *one thing to note is that they do not accept personal checks! But this is fairly understandable since i had a large sum for my repair and ppl can easily flake out on checks. read more

I came in after a distracted version of myself ran the side of my new SUV down a fence post in my driveway. I was so disappointed, not only did I now have to fix my gate, but I had a very large, not deep, but wide scrape on the door panel of my new SUV that I bought and didn't lease. Since I had bought this car, I'd have to live with this scratch for a long time. I came in and Mathew Solimanpour came out to help me. I wanted this fixed as I was ready to do anything, hoping for just a door panel repair, meanwhile, I knew that a full paint job would be needed to get the colors to match. Matthew told me, yes, they could repaint the entire car, or I could get a really good detailer to buff it out. I feel like getting good advice that worked is better than trying to sell me something. BEWARE! Car was taken in for a lifetime paint warranty as the clear coat was hazing and starting to fade. Years ago the car was painted by them on the hood, roof, and trunk. They said they wouldn't cover the hood and trunk due to wear and tear but would cover the roof. I felt the trunk was also showing the same signs as the roof but I let it go since they wouldn't cover it. On pick up my internal sunroof cover was missing. I asked what happened to it. They said they didn't touch it and then said it was inside the roof after saying it was missing. I asked how it got inside the roof when it wasn't when i dropped it off and they said it wasn't them but that they had to move the sunroof to complete the paint job. The sunroof wouldn't open or vent and still doesn't. They took the car out back and were able to pull the cover out of the inside of the roof but it still function at all. They then claimed it was wear and tear and because the car is old it that's why it didn't work. I explained that it was fine and without issue when I brought it in and now it doesn't work at all. I also said the car doesn't sound right. The idle is extremely and noticeably loud and they told they didn't do anything. I car now sounds like a lawnmower. They refused to check anything and claimed it was all wear and tear on an old car. The bottom line is the car was brought in for a paint job and now the sunroof cover seems to be stuck preventing the sunroof from working at all and the car is insanely loud. No one would think the sound of the car is normal! I took the car home as they refused to do anything and looked under it and there is a fresh puncture hole behind the s-curve on the back side! This is why the car is now loud! The exhaust is new and it never made this noise or anything close to it. They put a fresh hole in it and will claim they didn't do it and its wear and tear. This is the worst type of service in the world and I would stay far from these people who do shady work and lie while using whatever excuses they can fall on to not fix what they did. I have a broken sunroof, a hole in the exhaust that is fresh in an area that can't be caused by driving, and they disconnected the battery for a paint job as well. I have never felt more scammed and taken in my life to have a car come back with new issues it didn't have before. If you take your car here take pictures and video of everything! read more

Tip: Call ahead to make an appointment. I called over the phone Bill original took my info and got me all set up. Manny took over and I came in first thing in the morning and was in and out with in 20 minutes. Bill looked at the car and wrote it up and Josh helped me get a rental comparable to the car I had. Manny called me a couple hours later to inform me of the damages and the total repair costs. Manny made sure to call me and keep me informed about what was going on with the car and even sent me pictures of each stage of the repair. After the car was repaired I came in to pick up my car and I was greeted by smiling faces and friendly staff. I waited until Manny was available ( less an 1 minute) and we sat down and did the final paperwork. While they drove my car around I had Josh help me close out my rental. Our dog chewed through some of the wiring harness wires under the driver's seat of our Model X, resulting in no power to the driver and passenger seats. Tesla wanted to charge us over $5,000 to replace the wiring harness without even attempting to fix the damaged one. Of the four Tesla Approved body shops i called, Arseen was the only shop that would even consider fixing this issue. Within minutes of bringing my car to Arseen, Sarge and his team had a plan of attack on how to troubleshoot and fix the issue before even considering replacing the entire harness. It took Arseen 3 hours of labor to repair the wires and replace a blown fuse and it now works as good as new. Sarge was helpful in working around my schedule and even started charging the car once the repair was complete. I will definitely come back to Arseen if any other issues arise with my car. read more
