I own 4 cars and had 3 previous repairs (all to parked cars) done at Arseen in 2018-early 2021, and although they each took weeks to do, they did a great job, and my adjusters and estimators kept me updated every few days. But (Owner?) General Manager Bill Arsenous left last year, and they have gone downhill, fast. New G. Manager Nick and Sarge say they will take care of things, but so far, they have not. When my valuable low-mileage mid-2004 GMC Sierra Hybrid SLT (w/ 120V built-in AC generator +42V DC+ V-8 hybrid truck) got vandalized in a theft attempt and was towed to Arseen (as recommended by my Insurance company) for door lock, ignition, & scratch repairs. Arseen didn't even know it was in their lot for a week until I called in and asked for a Status Report. Nina went out and found it unlocked (since it had no locks left). Then I found out they couldn't find the keys for a couple weeks (which concerned me, since I left my good set in the center console for the locksmith when it was towed). Despite giving the estimator an oral confirmation to go ahead with the Preliminary Estimate (like I did with the previous 3 repairs), AND then [upon request] a written 'OK' in an email, she also wanted me to sign an 'Authorization of Repairs+ Power of Attorney' to do ALL the Repairs before finishing the estimate. Per Sarge, the PoA is to sell the vehicle if the insurance co. or customer doesn't promptly pay when work is completed, and they do not currently have a form for first just authorizing estimates. Requiring this Repair Authorization BEFORE even finishing the Preliminary Estimate which, per my attorney, is SO wrong: Doing a Preliminary Estimate release (permission to enter the vehicle and open up things to see what needs doing) is different than doing Repairs, since by State Law, one may then go elsewhere for the actual repairs if the estimate seems high or the shop flaky. ...So if getting an estimate, read their Repair Authorization carefully & watch out for overstepping the law. Hopefully they revise their release Form soon. From previous experience and a desire to hurry up with the repairs so I could finish moving out of crime-ridden San Jose, I told the Estimator upfront to use her own two eyes & not go by my truck's generic VIN to do the estimate, since being one of the first production Hybrid trucks, it was built before GM had a VIN code for Hybrid trucks, and we would get a wrong (& very low) Valuation by my insurance co. (which were working 100% remotely due to COVID, so dependent on the Estimator's description) and possibly the wrong parts, since my mid-2004 Hybrid is actually an early 2005, parts-wise. She ignored me and went 100% by VIN. You can guess what happened. The $6k Preliminary Estimate 2 weeks after the truck being towed to Arseen showed replacing several expensive things I knew didn't need replacing, ordering some incorrect or unneeded parts, and the truck being a basic 17 year old work truck with steel wheels & cloth upholstery instead of being a (now rare) $35k Hybrid SLT with 20" alloy + leather (which are pretty obvious!) and so on, and in near excellent condition before the vandalism. It was obvious Nina never looked at or inside the truck (else she would have found the key in the console a lot sooner!) or at the accuracy of her Estimate printout. I asked her to fix the Prelim Estimate with a precise list of what should be corrected so my insurance company wouldn't mark it a total loss and I would approve it, and work could start. Crossing out a few lines and adding a couple Notes then sending it to my adjuster and me should have taken 1-2 days (actually about 5-10 minutes). Arseen got the OK to go ahead to do the repairs (pending my approval) directly from my adjuster's Claims Supervisor (despite everything) as soon as I talked to him, but 1-1/2 months after the inaccurate first Estimate, I have yet to get a corrected and revised estimate from Arseen. After many unanswered emails & calls to Nina and then stopping by & speaking to General Manager Nick, acting manager Sarge finally called me and did reassign it to another estimator, but apparently did not tell him, and then THAT Estimator was off for a week, assuming Sarge was taking care of it. Arseen's estimators were apparently out with Coronavirus, on vacation, too busy, etc. the past few months, but Sarge never handed my job to someone with the time to work on it nor contacted me to let me know what was going on, since "their system does not allow that". It is now over 2 months that my vehicle has been at Arseen, I still do not have a revised/corrected Preliminary Estimate nor has work started on my truck, and no one at Arseen nor my Insurance company seems to know what is going on due to their lack of communication with me and each other. I am SO frustrated! FWIW: My insurance company has offered to tow my truck to another shop. Anyway, if you want to a quick repair, do NOT go to Arseen. read more

I was involved in a hit and run about a month ago. Took my truck to Arseen. With in two days I have an estimate and my insurance had already approved. Since I realized that there was a lot of work that had to be done, I asked if we could do some upgrades and I would pay out of pocket whatever was extra. With no hesitations they agreed and went above and beyond to ensure I got the best deal while maximizing the insurance money. I knew it would take a little longer since I wanted other things done to my truck, but the whole time I was receiving updates as to what was going on or what we where waiting on. Arseen is an excellent body shop and I highly recommend them if you are looking for a place to fix your Tesla. Nina was the estimator and did an excellent job keeping me up to date and providing me with all the information necessary. They understood the problem really well and my car came back perfect. The team at Arseen is very organized and tries to get you in and out of there as quickly as possible. They also really went above and beyond to address other work I needed with the car (scratched rim) and provided a completely separate invoice and was able to get that work done without a change in the original estimated time to complete the car. They have a tight partnership with Enterprise and allow you to drop the car off at their shop once your car is done. The Enterprise group was not as awesome, but that's not in their control. Not sure how to begin with this review. TLDR: would recommend going elsewhere if you value clear communication, attentiveness, and honesty. Better customer experience experienced elsewhere. Needs major improvement on communication and processes (i.e. finish all testing prior to telling customer that car is available for pick up). Car repair was estimated to be 9 days, but instead took 27 days total. I didn't mind the long wait for car repairs, but it would have been nice to be informed of actual progress and changes to estimated completion, rather than being lied to. Multiple times they said they would give me a call back especially if I left a message, but never once did I receive a call back. I had to proactively call to see whether or not the texts on progress were true or not. I came to this auto shop for a Friday afternoon appt because my insurance referred me to it. They inspected the damages to my car and would provide me an estimate by Monday. I received the initial estimate and they said the work would be completed by the following Tuesday- I was perfectly fine with that. Throughout the week, I got text updates on the status of my car like "53% complete and still on target for X completion date" or "we are on track" etc. On Tuesday, I called to see if my car is ready. The receptionist tells me the car will be finished tomorrow (Wednesday). They will give me a call when it is ready. Ok with me. On Wednesday afternoon, I decide to give a call to check. This time, the receptionist says it won't be completed until next week and transfers me to the estimator. He informs me that that they are still waiting for a critical part to come in to repair my car-it won't arrive until next Thursday at the earliest. At this point, I'm a bit frustrated with the lack of communication. Why would you lie and tell me that the car would be ready today when you're clearly still waiting for a car part to arrive? Why would you not update the estimated completion date for the following week? And so I continue to wait. On the following Friday, I receive a call from Arseen's as well as a text saying that my car is ready for pickup. My husband takes off work early so that we can go to the auto shop together. We arrive, wait in the lobby for 15 mins, and then someone pulls us aside to tell us that they have bad news: my car isn't ready. Car failed alignment test and will need to stay with the shop to check suspension. Why would you call AND text me saying the car is ready, when it hasn't been through final testing? At this point, I'm frustrated and explain to them that I didn't have a rental car. The auto shop decides to provide me with a rental car via Enterprise until my car is completely fixed. A week later, they call saying the car is ready for pick-up. I couldn't pick it up that afternoon, so I said I would pick up the next morning- this was fine with them. Next morning, I'm able to get my car back- yay! However, there was a long scratch on car, which wasn't there before. The guy checks thru the photos and then has someone polish it and return the car back to the front. The guy is nowhere to be found and so we sit and wait. Eventually I decide to just go outside to check on my car- scratch is gone and looks fine- and then go to the receptionist to see if she has my car key. She does, and we decide to just leave with my car. The car repairs seem fine visually, but this whole process was stressful and could have been handled better by the auto shop. read more

I just got my mini van back from Arseen auto body. My car insurance company Geico sent me their for repairing. The original issue (caused by a car accident) was fixed. But there is something happened on my right rear side, above the tire. There is a dent with paint shedding. Next to it, there is another paint shedding. At first, the Arseen person said that he needs to talk his manager on Monday (today is Saturday) to decide what to do. I insisted to have everything fixed before I took the car home since dropping my mini-van next Monday again is not convenient. Then he started to deny and said such dent is pre-existing issue since he saw rust on surface. He insisted it is impossible to have rust in 3 days. Because this is science question, I did not say anything about that. But I did a search on internet, people does show how to generate rust in one hour: http://metalgeek.com/archives/2006/06/13/000065.php Their logic is: since there is no way to build rust in 3 days, this is a pre-existing condition. I told them that I checked all right side of my mini-van during the accident day and found no such dent on right rear side (above tire). But he said I may miss something and refused to do anything for me. Then another came to say the same thing. I asked who you are. He told me he is the first guy's manager. I was so upset that the manager was there when the first guy told me he needs to talk to his manager on Monday! Anyway, both of them refused to do anything to fix the problem caused by their work. When I opened my mnin-van to drive home, it was so surprised to see they even left a repair tool in my mini van (between driver seat and passenger seat. The workers there are so careless. The dent itself is a small issue. But I am just unhappy for the Arseen person's behavior. The first guy lies to me on his manager's availability on Monday when his manager was in the store at that time. They also passed wrong information that rust in 3 days is impossible. In one word, since insurance claim is over, they do not want to fix anything even such thing is related to their bad work. I am wondering why Geico chosen such a bad place for service center. My car was stolen. Repairs was suppose to take 8 days. Well 8 days turn into just over 4weeks. Expect them to max out your rental cost leaving you to paying rental out of pocket. When my car was finally done all repairs were not addressed. Alarm system was not working. My fuse box was still damage. Took my car to another shop they found more issues. I would advise not to use this shop. Pick a shop that will fix everything right the first time. Dealing with supplement form for additional repairs is a headache with insurance. Also all the negative review here on yelp is very accurate. Positive reviews here can't be trusted. They don't call you with update and when you call them for update they say they will call you back and they won't so you end up having to call them again. The update is not accurate either. Two times they call me saying my car is ready and the day of I call to confirm before heading out they say it is not ready and there's still more fixing needed to be done. They don't communicate well with each other or with customers. They talk down to their customers as if we don't know anything especially Nina who works there. They don't apologize or hold accountability when it is their mistake and their professionalism suck! The receptionist doesn't know anything when you call. DO NOT USE THIS SHOP! Someone hit my parked car, while I was at the gym. I got several quotes from different Tesla certified shops and Arseen had the lowest estimate. Originally, I planned on paying out of my pocket but the adjuster convinced me to use my insurance. I was a little hesitant to use Arseen because of the yelp reviews and when I scheduled my first estimate, they told me that I wasn't in the system and then never sent me an estimate as promised. After I scheduled another estimate via Geico, it was a smoother process. I was able to get a rental from Enterprise at the same time. They said that it would take about 4 days. They never called me back, so I called and they said that they needed a few more days. This time they called and said that they needed 1 more day because it rained and they would call me between 12pm - 1pm the next day. Nobody called again and when I called, they said that I could come in by 3:30pm. The car was ready and it looked like new again. They also did a great job washing and cleaning the car. They do great work but need to work on their customer service and follow up skills. If you plan using them for repairs, you will have to stay on top of them and keep calling them for updates because they won't call you. read more

I brought my car in for a fender repair. My contact was Brandon and he helped me with the whole process. After looking at the damage, he was able to give a a quote within a few minutes. Since this was just a few days before the labor day weekend, he said he would order the parts and call me back later in the day with an update. He said I could bring the car back on Tuesday for repair. Brandon followed up on all his commitments and my car was ready for pickup on Wednesday, the day after I dropped it off. Not only was it repaired, it was also cleaned in and out! Arseen does great work and Brandon went above and beyond in getting everything done as promised. He was a joy to work with. these guys are something else. our car needed two parts. took a couple months to get the first part. had to wait for the second. when the second showed up they had lost the first one. then they had to re-order the first part. you'll never guess what happened when the first part showed up again, NO SECOND PART. oh, and they never called us. we had to regularly reach out to them asking for status updates. the accident was in october. we are finally giving up on them now in june. don't know why we stuck around the incompetence so long. called another shop and they will have both parts ready next week. never going back to arseen. read more

NEVER HAVE I EVER: I have never experienced such an incredible and competent staff as the team at Arseen Auto Body. Everyone I interacted with was happy, helpful and easy to work with. They always seemed to be one step ahead of me. When I needed a rental car, there was the enterprise manager, in the lobby, ready to help me. When I came to pick up the car after the work was done, there it was, waiting in the parking lot for me. The car was detailed beautifully and the paint looks cherry. One outstanding employee was Anthony T. He really made the experience 100% satisfactory. He is the tall, handsome young buck who is chipper and always ready to lend a helping hand. Thank you Arseen. Bad: 1.Not a perfect job - there were couple of really noticeable gaps after the fix which was acknowledged and committed to address with a call back next day. No call back yet, though my claim adjuster was trying to get them do it every single day! 2.A fancy, big shop with no care - I mean it. They have automated text messages if that keeps you happy, but really struggles on the quality of job and customer care which should have been the core of such business. 3.Car is returned with all the dirt (if not added more) and with the fresh paint smell (unless you enjoy it!), which to me is totally unacceptable after you spent thousands on a body repair. Everything was VERY easy and my Estimator Anthony was very insightful and good with keeping me updated. When it came time for pickup the Car was Cleaned and Polished and Vacuumed !! Literally one of the worst places I've been. The reason I chose this place because Arseen Auto Body was one of Progressives preferred body shops. Heading in I was quite surprised because there was a plaque that said certified infiniti body repair shop. There was also Progressive and Enterprise rent a car in there as well. That meant everything's conveniently located inside for less hassle. But that's where anything good about this shop ends. 1. The repairs took extremely long and had to wait more than 2 weeks. 2. Once they finished my car I already immediately found a few problems like the side view mirrors not working (I went back immediately and they fixed it). 3. I found out that 2 of my lights stopped working and went back. They fixed the side of the daytime running light where the impact was, but they told me the other light wasn't their problem and that I had to go through insurance to fix it. I showed them pictures of my headlights still working after the accident, but they still told me that they didn't touch it and wasn't their problem. This shows the amount of incompitence and negligence on their end to take responsibility. How can a light still working after and accident then taken to your shop be not an internal issue if it stopped working under your repairs. 4. The repair amount that they charged was over $5000. To replace a headlight, bumper, and fender with such a shoddy job felt insulting even if insurance covered all of it. Everything came back mismatched and low quality shown from the images. I've never been to such a low quality repair shop that charged this much. If you have the option to pick this place or go somewhere else, go somewhere else. It is not worth the time and definitely does not live up to any certified. Update: They didn't even take off the bumper to replace it. Had my (new 4 month old) car repaired here about 6 months ago. As I drove away, I noticed dirt and grease handprints inside the car - on the beige seats, ceiling, and inside door panels. I was on my way to work and didn't want to turn around to have them clean it. The work they did was indicative of how the car interior was left. The windshield wiper tube was pinched (had to bring back to fix). They replaced the windshield and the interior edging (fabric) on the ceiling is more exposed than it should be, it looks sloppy. An interior panel that they had to remove recently fell down on me as I was driving. My dealer told me the hooks were broken in it. Since the car is so new and no other work has been done on it, I can safely assume the panel was not properly replaced after the work was complete. I hope nothing else goes wrong with the work they did (but I probably shouldn't get my hopes up). I wouldn't even trust them to fix the things they messed up. I would look elsewhere if you are searching for a high quality body shop. The only plus side of this shop was the convenience of having an insurance agent and car rental on premises... but maybe they should invest the effort in highly trained technicians and proper quality checks before finalizing work. read more
