A very nice woman, Letty, was available to help if I needed it without being overbearing. She happily checked to see if the fixture was in stock and the price since it didn't have a visible price tag. Canned lighting was needed next. I received excellent recommendations as the next woman looked at the photos of my kitchen and assisted in determining the number and size of lights needed. Just the cost of the light bulbs for the light fixture selected was $75. I asked Letty if there were any discounts available?! She said, "not that I know of but I can ask." Oh yes, please do! A few minutes later she came back and informed me that I was in luck, the light bulbs were on the house. I told him the style I was interested in, and he did the legwork -- finding a few style-appropriate options so that I didn't have to spend time I didn't have paging through catalogs. The fans are perfect! He even immediately checked the the supplier and then gave me a heads-up b/c there were only 2 fans remaining. He didn't want me to have to wait 3 months for our fans, so he notified me that I had to act fast, and I did. Got those 2 last fans! When one of the fans ended up having a click (per our *excellent* contractor David Swaim who did a day-long test run of both fans), James and Company Lighting **did not hesitate** to offer to switch out the clicking fan for a new fan. I set up the time/day with Todd, and the person who came to switch out the old fan and install the new fan came ON TIME and was out in no time. On another note, our bathroom lighting was a bit of a bear to get just right, given some very specific measurements that our bathroom required. Our contractor David worked with a very accommodating Harry. Success! We're VERY happy with the extra lengths that Harry went to to get our lighting just right. That lighting wasn't even high-priced, so I was even that much more impressed that Harry worked so vigorously on what was a relatively very small sale. Lastly, I went back to talk to Harry about entryway lighting. He had a few product catalogs chosen just for me, given my style specs that I'd given him. I ended up not purchasing entryway lighting, but I will in the future!! I GREATLY appreciate Harry's amazing customer service. I'll be a loyal James & Co customer for years to come, as we continue the different phases of updating our home! Thank you, Harry, Todd, and the entire team at James & Co! I had to replace my electrical panel which started a process of repair/replacement for most of the plugs and switches in my house. Older house, time on my hands- I can do it!! Turns out sometimes I can't do it and sometimes I need help and this is my absolute go to guy. Friendly, knowledgeable, respectful of covid and all that that means. He came on relatively short notice once and on "ohh damn, when can you come?!" emergency with a "get us to limping" fix that got us to the weekend when we could turn off the house and fix it fix it. Plus he answered my text when I ran into a little problem. Best of all, though, is that he takes the time to teach me how to fix it myself. (Simple things like replacing a plug) He doesn't just say, "it was broken, now it isn't" type of explanation- he takes the time to walk through each thing until I understand the why. Absolutely my go-to electrician.
