D&S is by no means a neat and tidy shop and Dan can be a bit gruff at times. But he's a good guy doing good work. He's thoughtful and wants his customers to save money. I sometimes have to push a bit for some kind of newer seat or whatever because Dan will tell me I don't really need it! I'd much rather that than a shop that tries to push things on me that I don't want or need. Dan is anachronistic and in a world of big corporations, I prefer to do business with D&S Bicycle Shop.

I had to bring it back in and it took about a month and a half more to get everything fixed on top of having it already being worked on for a couple weeks prior to that. I originally was talking to them about putting some new lights on the bike, but after going through a lot of of issues with them, I was very unhappy and told them that I didn't want to do any of that anymore. They went ahead and changed all my lights to lights that look like crap and it's a total disaster. My headlight is like half as bright as my old high-beam And on top of that, they screwed up the light indicator so that it just constantly looks like I have my high-beams on. Clearly they were just trying to make me a little bit happier so I wouldn't leave a bad review but they ended up doing what I did didn't want them to do anyways, and took many many days extra to do all this extra stuff that I didn't want them to do. I mean, who does that really!? It's such a violation.. i told you I didn't want to do anymore business with you and just settle up. If I could I would have gotten out of the deal but we had gone to far and so I went along with it but to go behind my back to do that extra stuff is just so silly and disrespectful. I will never be going to this place. It's new ownership. The old guy was good, but this younger couple are terrible at this. Do not deal with this company at either location in my opinion as they are owned by the same people. $1000+ bill later and two months later, I'm completely dissatisfied. I am really bummed with J & R because they are part of the bike world and everyone is aware of "Flo-yellow" and regular yellow in the bike world since it is popular. I wish I could get a full refund. Now I feel like I have to keep these stupid grips.
