He speaks fast and there's a lot of medical terminology in there, but he does explain everything in detail that he finds in his exams - the treatment and/or procedures he thinks should be done, what the experience of that procedure would feel like, and aftercare if necessary. These are the best qualities in my opinion of him as a doctor, and I like him, and that's saying something because I don't like most of the doctors I see. That said, here are some negative opinions: Him speaking so fast does make it difficult to process what he's saying, and then when you add the medical terminology he's using, it often becomes difficult to understand and remember. But I will say, he answers questions if I interrupt him because I don't understand something, and will try and rephrase it in a way that it's easier for me to understand That's huge to me! Most doctors just get irritated at you if you interrupt them to ask a question, and often they just repeat the same thing they just said, which is no help at all. 2) I think he takes on too many patients, and I do feel a bit rushed when I'm with him. 3) Every time I go to his office for tests, such as ultrasounds, I've had to wait a month between appointments before I get the results of the tests. When you're in pain and seeing a doctor for tests, you don't want to have to wait a month to find out what's wrong with you, and that's very stressful. I also don't want to have to drive an hour and all the way to and from Fresno from Hanford, just for him to speak to me for 10 minutes or less and explain the tests to me. I understand a one-on-one experience with the doctor is a good thing, but not in these circumstances, and I didn't like that at all. I think if the results are nothing to worry about, someone in his office should be able to call me and tell me that, and not make me go through the time, expense, and physical discomfort of that drive. I have an appointment like that coming up and I just called and spoke to his receptionist and asked her if she would talk to me and be compassionate enough to not have me do that and let me have a phone visit. They have a fan, cold damp cloths, stress ball and they will continue any conversation you have with them during the procedure to keep you distracted. Doctor is very attentive to if you need more numbing on your leg. They treat veins not only extremely well but quickly! My legs don't hurt anymore and I don't have those awful looking dark purple spider veins on my legs anymore! I get 1/2 a syringe or a full syringe after, i'm always left with bumps even after 2 weeks of waiting for it to be healed. It became extremely annoying and inconvenient to get injected, wait 2 weeks then come back to get the bumps inside my lips dissolved. I have driven to this place 4 times to get injected and 4 additional times after every 2-3 weeks to get bumps inside my lips dissolved. If you do your research and go to a better place, you don't go get your bumps dissolved after every injection... I am extremely disappointed in this place because now I have fucked up lips and now I have to go and pay somewhere else to get them dissolved completely and RESTART. So anyone who is looking to get lip fillers, save your money and go somewhere else that has 5 star review because dropping $600 on 1 syringe isn't worth it at this place just to get bumps dissolved everytime and uneven lips. She was knowledgeable, helpful, and made me feel comfortable from the beginning. The office stayed in contact with me, arranged a very convenient pre-procedure phone appointment, and coordinated my surgery date. When I arrived, everything went seamlessly. Cosmetic procedures are not inexpensive, and this was the most money I have ever spent on myself. I can honestly say it was also the best money I have ever spent. Until you go through a procedure like this, you may not realize how much happens behind the scenes for just one patient. I had an entire team--including Christine, Priscilla, Gabby, and Teresa--and every one of them played an important role. They worked together in complete unison and were professional, caring, and helpful throughout the entire process. I was prepared, positioned, numbed, and carefully guided through each step before Dr. Behr took over and performed the procedure. She was amazing. Although I am only three days into my recovery, I am already very happy with my results. I was also impressed by how fairly the practice treats its patients financially. My consultation fee was only $50, while many practices charge $100 to $150. That immediately told me they were not trying to take advantage of patients from the beginning. I had also seen that some practices charge an additional $100 to $150 for the required post-surgery compression garment. Dr. Behr's office provided mine at no additional charge. That may seem like a small detail, but it meant a great deal to me because it showed that they were not going to nickel-and-dime me throughout the process. The practice also offers several helpful ways to communicate and save money. I joined the Behr Club, which saved me a significant amount on my procedure. They also helped me sign up for Allē--the app with the halo--which allows patients to earn rewards and save money on certain treatments and products at participating providers. Be sure to ask about both programs. Because I live in Sacramento and cannot always drive to Fresno, the Allē program will be especially valuable to me. I had researched and visited practices in Sacramento but never felt completely comfortable with any of them. While working on assignment in Fresno, I contacted Dr. Behr's office, and I immediately knew I had found the right place. Follow up~ I have called the office several times now to…read morespeak with Dr. Behr regarding her response to my Google review. After speaking with different staff members, I was told that she does not take calls. I left messages requesting a call back, but still have not heard from her. I remain willing to discuss a resolution directly with her. I rarely leave negative reviews, but after my experience, I feel it is important to warn others before they spend thousands of dollars here. I paid a $250 deposit and an additional $3,575, for a total of $3,825, for filler and Botox treatments performed by Dr. Desai. From the very first follow-up appointment, I repeatedly told the medical assistant that I was unhappy with my results. At every appointment, I explained that I had developed small bumps underneath my eyes, that my marionette lines were not improving and continued to show bumps, and that I was disappointed with how everything was turning out. Dr. Desai also injected my nasolabial folds, yet those lines are still visible. Despite repeatedly expressing my concerns, I felt they were dismissed instead of being taken seriously. During my appointments, Dr. Desai told me that the Botox she had recommended interfered with the fillers. That statement left me questioning why that treatment plan had been recommended in the first place. If I was being told that one treatment interfered with another, why would I feel comfortable proceeding with additional procedures? At that point, my confidence in the treatment plan had been significantly diminished. I have allowed adequate time for the treatment to settle and for any improvement to occur. Given the number of injections I received and the significant financial investment I made, the outcome does not reflect the scope of the treatment. After allowing adequate time, I met with Dr. Behr to discuss my concerns. During that visit, she recommended performing additional treatment. However, I did not feel comfortable proceeding with more procedures because of the concerns I already had, including being told that the Botox recommended by Dr. Desai interfered with the fillers. I wanted my concerns addressed and understood before considering any additional treatments. During that same process, I asked Dr. Behr to review and compare my before-and-after photos because my results looked nothing like the photos I had been shown or expected. Dr. Behr refused to look at my photos or compare them. It was after this that the medical assistant made the statement that "everyone in the Central Valley knows that it doesn't last," which was extremely concerning to me given the amount of money I had invested. I also asked the office manager, Kristy, for a copy of the documentation showing my concerns from each of my visits. Kristy stated that she would send those records to me through email. To this day, I have never received the documentation she said she would provide. The documents that were provided to me did not include any statements or notes showing that I had expressed my concerns during my visits. I did everything I could to give the office an opportunity to address my concerns. Instead of feeling heard, I felt dismissed. After spending $3,825, I expected professional care, honest communication, and accountability when I expressed that I was unhappy with my results. Because of my experience, I cannot recommend this practice. I am sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision before investing a significant amount of money. I am requesting a full refund of the $3,825 I paid. Given my experience, the concerns I raised throughout the process, and the outcome I received, I believe a full refund is warranted because of the results did not reflect the expectations and information that were discussed prior to treatment.
