Talia keeps a very professional and clean environment and provides care instructions, plenty of numbing cream and a take-home care kit! Getting your face poked can be a bit intimidating at first, but she made the process as smooth and comfortable as possible. I also got two tattoos on my arm from Reyjon with a black and white stippled shading style! They are gorgeous and I get tons of compliments on them. He incorporated ashes from my deceased love ones for one of the tattoos, which made the tattoo all the more special! Overall, both Reyjon and Talia run a very professional and clean shop, and have are wonderfully talented! I would recommend them both for when you're looking to get some fresh ink!

As they say, first impressions are everything. I love the logo and the store front is inviting. With a big "TATTOO" sign in green on the front and clean windows, it was comforting to see they keep their space clean. We were greeted upon arrival and took a seat to wait. When it was our turn, even as a walk in, the process was super easy. You scan a QR code and check in, sign an agreement and request a service. Nose piercing came to a total of $75. The work itself was done professionally. Ricky made sure to sterilize everything. He worse gloves and was an all around cool guy. We chatted about music and that calmed my nerves. I've gotten piercings before but it's been a while and I'd never done my nose before. Anyways, it was a fun experience and I think it came out great. Ricky made sure to ask me to give a big cheesy smile so he could get the placement right. Which made sense because your nose flares when you smile! Then after we walked to Vallarta to grab a drink and Ross after that. It's a great location with lots to do in that shopping center but of course stop here and get some work done! Ask for Ricky.

Used needles to pierce my helix first which I'm glad because I thought that would be the most painful piercing. Turns out it wasn't bad as I thought it was (maybe because of my adrenaline going up). Then also used the needle with the third lobes, which went very quick. The prices for the piercings were not bad and reasonable. Would recommend getting a piercing here. I'm thinking about my next piercing already, but waiting for my current piercings to heal

Over the next three months, I experienced persistent pain and developed an irritation bump. I ultimately had to remove it, which left a visible scar. When I returned to discuss the issue, the piercer denied having done the piercing, despite my appointment being only a month prior. That response was very upsetting and made the situation feel even worse. I've since had other piercings done elsewhere that healed without issue, which leads me to believe the original placement may not have been correct. I'm sharing this so others can ensure their piercings are properly assessed and that their concerns are acknowledged.

Showed them what i was interested in he went and talked to an artist named "Rafael." He drew up a design and it was really good. He took a little bit to make sure his work station was clean and safe. Right before he started the tattoo, he asked if I had any injuries so he could accommodate me so I would be comfortable through out the tattoo. Offered me a water. Rafael is very detailed and made sure that everything was done and didn't miss anything. He has a light touch. Rafael is very professional and I felt very comfortable. Other artists would go by and say Hi and stop and talk. I will be going back to Main Street Tattoo and Body Piercing in Merced from now on. Ask for "Rafael." I know I will be.

To start, I went to get my rook pierced at the end of September. There is only one lady that…read morepierces there. She was fine, no problem with what she did but she did give me an after care for tattoos, not piercings. However, when I came back to get it checked because I noticed something wrong, was the problem. I first contacted her by phone number. I sent her a picture of my piercing, clearly showing that my ear was rejecting it. She tried blaming me saying that it was obvious I had taken out the jewelry too early and that is what caused the problem. I had in fact not taken it out at all and cleaned it every day. I am experienced in cleaning piercings because I have 10 others. When I came in person for her to take it out, she then tried to blame me again saying that I should have came in earlier and taken better care of it. Mind you, it was not infected whatsoever. After, when she tried taking the piercing out using tools it slipped and she wasn't successful. She then started YANKING on my piercing MULTIPLE times and pulled it STRAIGHT THROUGH MY SKIN!! It hurt SO BAD! I quite literally started crying! She proceeded to say, " Oh look, it just came right out." And " At least you don't need stitches." I did not come there to get my earring ripped out of my ear. If you want or are thinking about getting a piercing here, I would NOT recommend in case something goes wrong!!

Unfortunately, after multiple attempts to resolve things directly, I feel other potential clients should be aware of my experience with Living Lighthouse Tattoo and specifically with the owner of the shop. I have many tattoos, grew up around tattooing, and have worked in tattoo shop environments before, so I understand the difference between normal tattoo healing/touch-ups and genuinely rushed or poorly executed work. At first, I gave the artist smaller projects to build trust, and the early work was acceptable enough for me to continue. However, over time the quality became increasingly inconsistent. The linework on later pieces was shaky in several areas, the black packing was uneven, and some placement decisions felt rushed. My finger tattoos especially appeared hurried and did not heal or settle well. When I brought up concerns after healing and requested touch-ups/finishing work, the response felt dismissive and defensive rather than professional or solution-oriented. The larger issue for me was the overall professionalism of the experience. During appointments, the owner frequently took extended breaks, often leaving me waiting in the chair for long periods while he left the shop. Breaks happened very often throughout sessions. He also regularly rolled marijuana inside the business and smoked outside around the shop during many of those breaks. While that may not bother some people personally, it contributed to an environment that did not feel focused or professional to me, especially considering the prices being charged. Most disappointing of all, work I had already paid for was never fully completed, and communication eventually stopped altogether despite multiple respectful attempts on my end to resolve the issue privately. I understand people have personal lives, families, stress, and responsibilities, and I truly wish him and his family well. But as a paying client, I can only speak honestly about my own experience. Based on the quality of the work, the professionalism, the communication, and the lack of follow-through, I would not personally recommend this shop.
