I got my tattoo done by Daniel Russell November 2, 2019 and just 2 WEEKS after I got it done this is how it healed . I contacted him asking him if he can fix it because there's no reason why a tattoo should fade only 2 weeks after ( granite this spot is known to fade but not after 2 weeks ) he told he it'll be an extra $60 to fix it after he did this to me ! What a joke lol now I'm walking around with a jail tattoo on my hand . Loved it at first but now it's kinda embarrassing when people see it , but I make sure to tell people Daniel Russell at restless valley ink in Merced did this to me and tried to charge me an extra $60 to fix his own work . People were just as shocked as I was . Really upset , disappointed and embarrassed ... this is stuck with me for the rest of my life read more

Got two pieces done by Ricky G- he was quick, clean, and has a soft touch. Areas that are generally a pain were barely noticed. Most importantly? The artwork kicks ass. Stoked. The location itself looks a little shady outside, but is vastly improved from even six months ago and continues to get better. Extremely clean and the staff is always professional, RVI is the best there is. Jason Rios has done at least 90% of the work I have done and I will never go anywhere else. The amount of experience jason has is incredible. He stays up to date with all his machines which makes the healing time cut down to 1/3 of what it used to be. I truly appreciate this shop, the friendly staff make the overall experience that much better. This is a great shop and I recommend it to everyone. It's worth it. read more

Found this place because of a friend and ended up getting a tattoo from Daniel. He was not only very nice but extremely knowledgeable. He took the time to listen to exactly what I wanted and he gave suggestions but was never pushy. During the tattoo he made sure I was comfortable. My sister got both a tattoo and a piercing at Restless Valley. The tattoo artist (Ricky) messed up her tattoo, and it's now any grammarian's nightmare. She wanted it to say "You've got to fall before you fly." Before they inked her up, she asked if she could have it changed to "you have to fall before you fly." The artist wound up etching "You've have to fall before you fly" into her skin forever. The spacing between the words was terrible, and the font used was clearly something he randomly found on the internet. She's vision impaired, and wasn't able to see the issues that HE should have checked for before tattooing. Always check your grammar! She then made the mistake of going back, and got an eyebrow piercing from JD. He pierced her with a bellybutton barbell instead of an eyebrow barbell, instead of just telling her that he didn't have one for an eyebrow. It protruded in a very unattractive way, and was too big a gauge for the eyebrow. It rejected, migrated, and fell out. Neither JD nor Ricky have given her a refund. I'm reading tons of great reviews for these guys, so did they just both happen to show up to work drunk? Ricky didn't offer a refund because "she walked out of the store after looking at it so no refunds." JD didn't offer one because he said that things reject all the time and the size is fine. These are both examples of lies and terrible customer service. They owe my sister money. read more

This is a great place to get a tattoo, shop is clean, and the owner Jason Rios is very professional and does great work. The pricing is fair, and remember your getting one of the best in the valley. Jason listened to what I wanted in my tattoo, and made it even better. Jason is really a stand up guy. But keep in mind since he is so good, its hard to get an appointment so think ahead book now for the future. read more

We came here today to have my daughters nosed pierced. The L bar came out. So we came this evening to put it back in. We chose this because this place was clean, the man was pleasant and the had Long hours. We went back at 745, there were people inside. But they were closed. I would not recommend these people to anyone who depends on this company's advertising. read more
