Tesla Wall Charger
Rich S.

Richie was great. Gave a professional and REASONABLE quote, has a license, had business cards, had insurance; he was legitimate. He installed a Tesla wall charger for me on my building a couple of days after accepting quote. Despite a little hiccup it went smooth. He even has guys that patch and paint after the electrical job is done. Took him 3 hours. Very professional, very responsive; would highly recommend him. He's got a good team.

Looking for tech after he didn't show up for our scheduled window.

I just noticed the owners response to my review and It just further demonstrates what customers can expect from him. Also here is the rest of the text thread so potential customers can see the context was correct and can draw their own opinions from your own words in this text and your response to this review.

We hired Richie and his guys to install lights in the living room ceiling as well as a ceiling fan. When I called to schedule an estimate, Richie picked up and scheduled it for the next day. He arrived on time, and when we told him that what we were planning for the space, he offered suggestions. We had thought we'd need 6-8 lights for the space, but he said that'd be too bright if using LED lights. He could have easily installed them all and made the extra money, but he was honest about what was needed and cared more about it looking right and us being happy with the results. This was one of the main reasons we hired him over the other company we got an estimate from. Once we called to hire him, we were able to schedule the work for the next week. He started the job, doing the measuring himself, and then his guys Devon and Johnny did most of the work. The guys were super friendly; my 5yr old loved talking with them and was upset when they were done bc he wouldn't see them again. All of them followed COVID protocols, always wearing their masks. Other than a short lunch break, they worked straight through each day and cleaned up before leaving at night. Initially, the ceiling fan posed a problem. We had ordered an expensive fan from Wayfair that had good reviews for being quiet. However, once installed, it was making a whopping sound. Moreover, it wasn't sitting right, swaying slightly with the blades. Devon tried various tactics to get it to sit right and not make noise. It was getting late, passed the time they should have left, but they stayed to work through the problem. We were on the verge of contacting Wayfair to return it, when Devon figured out that because the ceiling was uneven, there was a small gap between the fan and the ceiling. He figured out a solution, and now the fan sits flush against the ceiling, doesn't sway and is virtually silent. They really went above and beyond. Finally, they sent in Charlie Herrera to patch up the holes. This was another reason we hired these guys over the other company: because they had someone to patch up and paint before final payment was due. Charlie was great. He showed up on time and did the work quickly. He even patched up a few cracks in our plaster that wasn't part of the job. Before leaving, his worker was on the floor with a wet rag, wiping up the dust. We ended up hiring him to come back and paint the whole place, and we are so pleased with the results. (Charlie: charliewoodflooring@aol.com, 718.909.8289) Richie had estimated 2-3 days to complete the job, and they were done in 3. They were a pleasure to do business with, and we love their results. We recommend them in the highest possible regards.

He said the job would take 5 hours and he would have to break the wall in my dining room to run the line which would cost $1350 plus an initial $175 consultation fee and said 1/2 the funds were due upfront so I paid him $700. Upon consultation, he noted there was an electrical box already sitting 2ft from the outlet and said if I can run a line from this box to the outlet I will only charge $175 consultation fee since there's not much work involved. He returned with a worker and was able to connect to the box next to the outlet, it took him a little over an hour to TRACE the line from the basement to the box, without have to break walls and run a hard line from the basement. He then charged me $905 and ended up requesting an I became upset. This is not what he promise. I asked him for a breakdown of what he's charging for, he said he charges for a minimum of 2.5 hours plus he needed an extra man (which he also charged for) for the job so the work was shared and both of them had to be paid and he's charging for materials?!?? There were no materials involved except that he relaxed the sockets. I did not pay him the extra $205 because to run a simple electrical line from a nearby box to an outlet does not cost $700! DO NOT pay the contractors any monies upfront. If they are legit and have a business, they should have the funds to cover the job and collect after the work is finished.

The transformation they brought to my apartment is incredible! Casey went above and beyond by returning to fix a crooked light fixture and adjusting the dimmer switch to perfection. I highly recommend his installation services--they truly make a difference!
