After reading them, I had an epiphany! I'm not going back. I canceled my appointment. Then I decided to go to John's Automotive. Review's were astounding. I actually felt better. I didn't have that dread. I called and talked to Rich (the owner) and made an appointment. I was actually excited. Then the day came, I brought in my vehicle. Spoke to Rich. And left my baby in his hands. A few hours later I received a call telling me what they found and what was needed for repair. He gave me a cost and I was actually happy. It was a reasonable cost. By the end of the day they were still working on it and needed to kept it overnight. I got my vehicle back and she was purring back to health. Rich showed me the parts they took out and explained what they did and how they tested it to make sure it was working right. First time in a long time I felt good about a shop. I dropped by to get a quote for some preventative maintenance that I was getting done on my Honda Odyssey EXL minivan. I had printed out the things I wanted done mainly because I had just acquired the vehicle several months earlier and in reviewing its history of maintenance by the previous owners I saw there were some things that needed to be done that had never been done. So I made a list of having the timing belt replace the serpentine belt replace the water pump replaced the rollers and tensioners for both the serpentine belt and the timing belts replaced. So when I dropped in with the list they very nicely offered to give me the cost and contact me with the total. I explained to them that I was retired on social security so I really did need to know what the out the door amount would be for just having those specific things replaced. Not too long later that day I got a text as I had requested of the complete total out the door and it was quite reasonable. Anyway a few weeks later I made the appointment for the preventative maintenance just the week before when I was going to bring it by. The service was excellent and I will tell you one of the most wonderful things about this place is you step inside their repair facility and it's like stepping into the family owned repair garages that I knew when I was a kid and a young fellow. They are far and few between nowadays and it was wonderful to actually find this one. I texted him on a Saturday asking if he had time and he let me know to come asap. Arrive at 3PM, dropped off my car and 2 sets of wheels. Jacky states he's finishing some work on another car before he can start on mine, which was fine. 7PM I asked for an estimate of completion, no response. 10PM I ask again... "Not yet, tomorrow we off. Done on Monday." So basically my car was just sitting for 2 nights. Fast forward to Monday, I go to pick up my car, the new wheels with TPMS look great. Here's where it all goes downhill. 1. The shop lost one of my Rays centercaps. We all searched the working area with no luck. I asked Jacky to replace it and he said he had to check his cameras to make sure I actually drove into the shop with all 4 caps on. Ridiculous. 2. My second set of wheels were missing all the valve stem caps. 3. They scratched the living hell out of one of my Rays wheels. (not mounted on the car) They didn't tell me anything when I got to the shop that day, other than "your track tires were so hard to put on, the sidewall is so stiff". So you're telling me.. you guys scratched half the face of the wheel, proceeded to put it in my tire storage bag, didn't tell me, and hoped that I wouldn't notice?! I get that things can happen. I'm not even that upset about the damage. What really tipped me off was how this situation was handled... "We can polish it. Bring it back." As if a polish would fix it... nor would I let him touch anything else again. Plus he kept arguing saying he needed his own wheel repair shop to fix it. Per his text: "We are handling this incident in accordance with standard company procedures." So since he wanted to talk policy, I let him know that by law, he cannot force me to use their direct repair program shops. After that, the dude ghosted me. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere, because when things go south, you will be better off arguing with a wall.

They found a small nail in my tire. They patched it up and charged me $30 for it. I took my wife's car in because she had the same issue, the tire pressure light came on. They found two small nails in there, patched it up, paid $30 and be on my way. They would drop their current project and work on your car while you wait. If it's a minor thing, they would fix it right away. If it's a major issue, they you might have to leave your car there. I haven't had any issues with them since I first bought my car in. I would definitely recommend them if you need a minor fix up or something checked.
