She had blood work done after the first meeting and when she went back, Dr Batich had not looked at her results. He never told her what her due date was. He picked on her for being overweight. (She was not overweight - she had lost 13 pounds already and was under her normal healthy weight.) She really struggled with how to switch doctors, we talked about it a lot and she called friends to see if she could switch and if she should switch. She did, she ended up with Laurie Mousaw and Meagan at Dr. Dargee's practice. When Laurie saw her, it was the first time she was told a due date and given her lab results. Unfortunately, Dr. Batich was the dr on duty when my daughter went into labor. He ignored her. In 13 hours he came in 2 times for under 30 second and said something rude and mean, then he came in again for a cervix check, and then the last time after never having checked the babies vitals, he came in the room in a panic and decided to use forceps' to get the baby out. The baby only lived 5 hours. He had been under too much stress which was obvious from the vitals during labor. Dr. Batich said he should have been more attentive. Meanwhile, my daughter went home with no baby in a car with a baby car seat in it, to a home with a nursery and all the baby items all over the house. No one had explained to her how to dry up her milk, how to take care of the incision Dr. Batich made and sewed up incorrectly. However, the hospital did call three times for my daughter to review how her visit to the hospital was. They even called her for the new-born 1 week dr. visit. Dr. Batich should have his license to practice medical care taken away.
