Starting over 5 years ago I have experienced upper back and neck tightness with reduced range of motion when rotating and tilting my head. The feeling has been a sense of complete congestion in those areas. I started getting headaches regularly in around 2020 and eventually, in 2022, started seeing a local physical therapist with an expertise in headaches. I was able to use specific exercises to curb them greatly. In June of 2024 my headaches returned with a severe degree of pain--much worse than my first headache experiences. My PT was not available and the assistance I received from other PTs did not offer me any relief; the appointments lasted 15-20 minutes and primarily entailed the PTs observing me move through exercises; hands-on assistance was minimal. After my approved 6 appointments I decided I needed to find a different practitioner since I was not satisfied with the care I was receiving, nor the results. Todd Perry had been recommended to me by friends. I was desperate to get help. Headaches would wake me up in the middle of the night or come on without warning during the day. Aspirin, Naproxen, or Ibuprofen would offer only mild relief. I was hesitant to go to bed at night for fear of being awakened in great pain. I began seeing Todd Perry in August 2024. Todd spends a full hour with me and his manipulation techniques have gotten me to a place of being headache-free nearly all the time. I consistently practice the exercises he gave me which are also contributing to my healing. My range of motion is slowly increasing, which is wonderful, but it is being free of excruciating headaches which brings me the most gratitude. When at appointments with nearly all other medical practitioners who I see--for any issue--I feel rushed--as if they believe that more than 10 or 15 minutes with me is too much time. I don't feel totally seen nor heard. However, Todd has a very different approach to the practice of medicine and the healing process. He values the time it takes to truly help a patient. I had been having right knee and right hip pain for over a year, finally scheduled an appointment with the doctor who did the hip replacement on my left hip 9 years ago. He prescribed PT instead of surgery (OK with me :) I put a query out to Facebook friends for a recommendation. Todd Perry was highly recommended and from the first meeting I felt he was the one for me. We've had 4 sessions in the past 2 months and the results have been fantastic. After his initial evaluation he prescribed specific exercises for me to do daily. These were on-line with explanation of each and a self check that I had done them. Also, each had a space for a comment which Todd responded to quickly. On the second visit 2 weeks later he added a 4th exercise based on my feedback. He followed up with 4 more exercises three weeks later at the next visit, all based on my feedback. I will continue to do the PT that Todd prescribed and know that at anytime I can schedule another appointment with his or ask questions on-line. When I sustained significant injuries from a recent accident, I knew I would need physical therapy in order to recover. Todd's reputation as highly regarded in the PT professional world had preceded him before we even met, so it was a pointed decision on my part to seek treatment with him. From our first meeting, he helped me find the confidence I needed to do the work to help heal myself. He is supportive, clearly communicative, and really listens. He treats holistically, starting with what your goals are, and makes you feel like a whole person. He took my concussion as seriously as my hip and ankle injuries and we did work that linked the cognitive with the physical. The physio app he utilizes makes understanding and keeping track of exercises easy and also allows for in-the-moment feedback. I have been dealing with hip pain for the last few years, making it very uncomfortable to walk. For obvious reasons, this was limiting my ability to spend as much time outdoors walking or working in my garden as I wished. I'd seen various doctors and had 2 epidurals that helped a bit but did not last. I also had weeks of physical therapy elsewhere with minimal improvement. Then I found Todd Perry. He is a game changer. Todd is not only a highly skilled therapist but, as others have said in their review, he listens to what you have to say and designs your therapy around what's causing the pain and what you hope to achieve. Together with hip injections periodically from my doctor and Todd's physical therapy expertise, I can enjoy my life without having hip replacement surgery at this time as was recommended. I had lost 85% range of motion in my arm/shoulder when I went to Perry PT Solutions for physical therapy. Putting on my seat belt, taking off my coat, putting weight on my arm, and fixing my hair were all extremely painful. At the first session, I was evaluated and treatment began immediately. An at home exercise program was put into place. It was very easy to follow, and there was daily accountability. Today I have regained my range of motion and am virtually pain free.
