I got the chili topped with cheese and the house special African peanut soup. The chili with big cubes of cheese had tons of meat and a deep, rich flavor. Gobbled up with tortilla chips made it a meal! I had no expectations about the soup since I'd never heard of it. Loads of shredded chicken, tomatoes, butternut squash and yes, peanuts in a rich, creamy and savory base. Almost had a hint of coconut milk in it. Delish! A crusty hunk of bread would be a perfect pairing. There was another soup on the menu but I'll have to go back for that one. And I can't wait! Next time I'll eat there at one of the brookside tables. If you're looking for a more substantial meal, they have really good entrees. The short rib I had was excellent and almost too big for me to eat by myself ("almost" meaning I completely crushed the whole plate). We have friends in the area who go frequently, and I know they've had a few dishes that they didn't love, but even if a dish doesn't fire on all levels, the rest of the experience usually fill the gaps.
