Ordered a garlic and everything bagel with butter, all I could taste was the sugar in the dough and they were drenched through before I got home which was less than a mile away. I ordered just two bagels, and there were only two other people in the store -- it wasn't busy at all. After waiting over 20 minutes with no update, we finally asked what was taking so long, only to be told that the microwave broke. No one had bothered to mention that earlier, and our bagels were just sitting there while they continued taking new orders from people who came in after us. To make things worse, I watched one of the employees dip the knife into a different flavored cream cheese and then not even switch it between orders. Her hair was also hanging loose in front of her shoulders while handling food, which felt extremely unhygienic. The service was terrible, the wait was ridiculous for two simple bagels, and there wasn't even an apology -- just a comment that they could try to refund our card. Salt bagels used to be salt and poppy seed now just salt. Pile of dirt in the middle of the floor as they were in the middle of sweeping with customers in and out of the store. I usually love this place but today I ordered a salt bagel & it is awful. The bagel has very little salt on it & not much chive cream cheese on it. I wasted the $5.00. My favorite mom n pop bagel spot. They have delicious breakfast and lunch sandwiches that have better pricing than a lot of other delis. Other people leaving negative reviews need to re-evaluate what a small business is and understand the impact these reviews have. None of the breakfast sandwiches are more than $8 and lunch sandwiches are all under $11. Doesn't get much better than that. read more

This place has reeeeeeally gone downhill. Growing up I remember stopping in every weekend for bagels on our way to church or sporting events. There was ALWAYS a line out the door. This is not the same Elaine's. This place is gross. There is dust everywhere you look. It looks like they have been under construction for a long time. There are flies hovering over the bagels. Service was not great- she was on the phone via headphones the entire time I was there. I felt like I was interrupting her by trying to order and get out. If you order sandwich, it will be cooked in a plastic container in a microwave. All around not a great experience. I do not plan to come back here and would certainly not recommend it. read more

I'm not a huge fan of the bagels here. One reason is that they are shaped very round like a mini soccer ball and don't fit in my toaster at home when I slice them in half. The cinnamon raisin bagels barely have any raisins in them and I've ordered them a few times just incase I got an odd one. One time there were just 2 raisins in the whole bagel!! The blueberry bagels definitely could use more blueberries as well. The only reason I like to come here is for the dog bagels! Lol. My dog loves them and they are only $0.35 each. A much cheaper price than I can get at the pet stores. The New York Bagel Dogels they sell at the local pet stores are $12.99 for a dozen. A dozen here is only $4.20 and they are much larger. I highly suggest them for a treat your dog if have a large dog. It's a little known secret. :) read more

I used to be a fan of Elaine's Bagels. The last two times I have visited here they barely had any bagels out. They have one worker and they can't handle big crowds. I ended up leaving after waiting for one family order ahead of me. They didn't have the coffee drinks advertised for the group ahead of us. The bagels are pretty good if you can get one. They need help on how to run this establishment. read more

I was not impressed with this bagel shop. The bagel was really dry and chewy. It was not fresh at all. I ordered it with turkey and cheese; I have no complaints with the turkey and cheese part of the bagel. I was just really bummed out at how dry the bagel was. If it were more fresh, it would have changed the satisfaction in my experience here. I may give this bagel shop another chance because I have had Elaine's Bagels before, and it was a better experience at different locations. Hopefully next time is a better experience. read more

I used to be in charge of our coffee service for our department in addition to regular work responsibilities; I don't remember how I was given such an honor. It made a small profit and once a week I would pick up donuts and put them out by the coffee pots. I decided maybe we should have some variety and switch things up with bagels every third or fourth time. When I studied bagel shop locations on the way between my home and work I found Elaine's Bagels. The bagels and cream cheese were excellent quality and taste, reasonably priced, right on my way to work, and people were friendly. So that became a regular thing for years. After I retired, I no longer go past Elaine's so it is a rare occasion when I do see them. But everything still seems to be continuing they way they always were; great food, reasonable prices and good people! Check them out! read more

Bagels and service were good, but when you've already had the best- Eastside Bagel- you compare everything else to it. I tried egg and cheese on a sesame bagel, which wasn't terrible, but the egg was HUGE and flavorless. I could barely eat half of the bagel which is not my norm. I knew the place exists due to visiting nearby Indian restaurant, but for some reason I never went there. Finally, I decided to give it a try, and I think I fund my new favorite spot for bagels! I love them! They're slightly bigger than in other pieces with crispy skin and very dense interior. This is what I love in bagels! You eat one and feel full for long time. I ordered a bakers dozen bagels and had them delivered via DoorDash. I was disappointed in the bagels. They were all chilled to the touch upon arrival. I'm pretty sure these were yesterday's bagels that were frozen and thawed rather than ones made freshly. If I wanted frozen bagels, I'd buy them at the supermarket. Unacceptable! read more

This bagel place was outstanding and has awesome flavors ! I came here before work around 6:45 and there was no line so it was quick in and out. The bagel dozen is 12.99 and gives you 13 bagels. All my coworkers raved about the bagels! Apparently onion bagels are heard to come by and my coworker was very happy! The jalapeño cheddar was my favorite. The cream cheese was whipped cream cheese which was also a crowd favorite and the coffee was pretty good too. Of note they don't have gluten free bagels but the employee kindly checked to see what kind of flour is used in the bagels ( was checking for a gluten free colleague of mine) . Me and my family have always enjoyed Elaine's bagels. It's a favorite of ours because of their soft and big bagels. Recently we went in and felt as if we were being rushed through choosing the bagels and how many we wanted. We were the only people in line and got asked multiple times how many and what bagels we wanted pretty much before we got to the display case. We told them we needed a moment but they kept asking us in such a rushed way that we finally had to tell them again in a more agitated tone to please give us a moment. We were also rushed to checkout and they were simultaneously trying to help another customer that just walked in. It honestly seemed so clustered and frustrating when we're were the only people there (until the end). It was not a great way to start the morning. I'm sure my family will be back because we love the bagels and hopefully get better service next time. If the bagels weren't so good, this would have gotten a 1 star from me. read more

Come early, and get your bagels while they are hot! Their bagels are big and tasty. They are cheap too! Three bagels were $1.60. They were out of their asiago bagels on a recent Sunday morning, so I bought my mom a spinach one which she liked very much. My favorite is the salt bagel lathered with cream cheese. I gave them four stars only because I prefer the large chunk Kosher salt, instead of the fine salt that they use. The guy behind the counter was friendly. I've given this place many chances and it's just never satisfied me. The bagels with cream cheese aren't bad, but the sandwiches are definitely lacking. The variety of bagels and cream cheese are also smaller compared to other bagel shops. If you want just your average run of the mill flavor bagel with cream cheese and nothing fancy, this place will suffice. read more

The all star (everything bagel) and Asiago bagels are sooooooooooo flippin good. Love that they open so early so I can stop before I go to work. I used to love Elaines Bagels a few years ago. Since the new owner took over the quality has went way down hill. First off, let me say I have had so many bad expierences there, it is hard to pick just one. Fruit-flies are visable on the bagels in the rack. I have personally watched the owner drop bagels on the floor and then pick them up and put them back in the basket. The cream cheese is frequently spoiled and I have gotten food posioning on 2 seperate occasions. (You'd think I'd learn the first time) Store has a VERY unclean feel about it from the counter tops to the floor. Sure Einsteins is corporate but at least I know for a fact they bleach the floors on a regular basis. My overall feeling on Elaines Bagels-I'm suprised the health department hasn't shut them down. read more

After living in the area my whole life I discovered this great little bagel shop as I entered they greeted me right away and had so many options for bagel/breakfast sandwich combinations. I read somewhere that after 2:30 if you buy a dozen you get some quality of bagels free. They have tables set up for people to sit down and eat or even sit and do some work while enjoying their wonderful bagels. I had a bagel and lox which was fresh and really good. read more
