I found the Villa Elegante by searching Google Maps via satellite mode…read more The more I studied their website the more curious I became. We choose to avoid all hotels during COVID and needed a pet friendly accommodation. Melinda informed me only the lower units were available for small pets, we took the San Nicolas. Even though I would've preferred an ocean view deck, the truth is the ocean is only one block away. The modest interior decor, fully equipped kitchen, patio views and spacious rooms created just the right vacation/residential experience we had hoped for. I imagine the fact that the Villa Elegante only caters to weekly and monthly contributes greatly to the good condition of the furnishings. The overall cleanliness more than met our expectations. It's a little strange to me more reviews aren't posted for this company since we found all aspects of our experience were very positive. Maybe the Canadians are not big Yelpers? But as of September 2020, this vacation property was a good value for our money. Thank you Melinda.

The location was just a block from the beach and close to a few necessities and even lovely restaurants. The place we rented was the "Santa Rosa" and it was spacious, so clean, great accommodations. Everything was well updated and kept up. We loved the 2 car private garage. Helped with moving my daughter out of her apartment! I do wish they had a pool, but again the beach was just a block or two away. We loved staying at Villa Elegante and definitely plan to stay here again! Thank you Melinda!

It is located on the Main Street in Carp and is about 200 yards from the beach. Instead of a hotel we all of the comforts of home. If has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Fully stocked kitchen without the food of course. That would be across the street at Smart n Final. It has a TV if you can't find enough to do around town. There is a rocking stereo system as well. It comes with a couple of beach cruisers and has a great out door shower to wash the beach off. On the side of the house there is a great outdoor area to sit and enjoy fire pit This town is a great place to bring the family. It has 3 awesome micro breweries and a hand full of great Restaurants. If you want to go to Santa Barbara, or anywhere north or south, Amtrak has a stop about 100 yards from the house. This is our favorite place to visit throughout the year!!!!

Highlights included beach walks and coastal trail hikes just blocks away, mid-morning coffee stops a short walk to Crushcakes or Lucky Llama, sunset beach bike rides, and scootering around town with the grandsons before taking the AmTrak a ten minute ride to Santa Barbara to scooter around on Stearn's Wharf. Beds were super comfortable, the home was super clean, the gathering places inside and out were super cozy with a lovely fireplace and fire-pit for cool evenings. Will be back again! Thank you so much!

The accomodations there were absolutely gorgeous. I actually can't wait for a reason to go back again soon. DETAILS... This was the perfect place a get-away weekend with my husband. The garden and suites are all beautifully arranged on the property, the garden had a beautiful layout, the pool and jacuzzi were amazing (seriously amazing), and our dog had just as much fun as we did. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The suite was clean, the TV had an HDMI cable that we were able to hook our computer up to to watch Netflix, the bed was very comfy and clean, and bathroom was very clean, and the overall space was exactly what we were looking for. There are enough parking spots for all of the guests, and all of the guests were very low-key and pleasant to be around. Although all of the suites were rented out we actually barely ran into everyone and it felt as if we had the entire area to ourselves. I think one of the biggest perks on top of all these amenities is that our dog was allowed to enjoy the place just as much as we were. We are looking forward to another reason to take a trip up to Santa Barbara/Montecito area so we can stay here again! I would definitely recommend this place.

Carla is such a nice and caring hostess! Piper and I are anxious to come stay soon!read more

Every exhibit actually keeps them engaged not just looking, but doing. The interactive tables (like the spinning drum and dice games) were a hit. My kids didn't want to leave and kept going back to the same stations. It's also really clean, organized, and easy to navigate even with little ones. Pricing was reasonable for what you get abbout $25 for adults, $20 for kids, and under 2 is free, which is nice. Staff was friendly and everything felt well-maintained. You can tell they designed this place with kids in mind but adults still have fun too. Definitely a solid family day trip spot from LA. Would come back again

The lactation pod was super loud and not a great place to pump, luckily had the sensory cave. Their infant and toddler room is for walkers only because they don't close it off and make people take their shoes off so definitely not okay for babies like they claim who need a clean environment. Also very little toys. Better if you can already climb and walk. Expensive! They have a 90 mile rule for using reciprocal kids museums and Pasadena's Kidspace is 89 miles away. $25 an adult is not worth it for the parents of a non crawler.
