I've always had a good experience here. I order the exact same thing every single time. Chicken enchiladas verdes with rice and beans and sometimes an al pastor taco. It's always fast and perfect for lunch. One time my to go order took forever but most of the time, it's ready when I get there and of course eating in, the food comes out very fast. The food is always good.

SEVERE FOOD POISONING. Threw up 100 times in 4 hours. ENDED ON ER

This is seriously the only place in the 25 years of my life that has sent me to the emergency room. If you value your health DO NOT EAT AT EL VAQUERO. My fiancé and I just spent 7 hours in the hospital getting fluids and medicine because of the severe food poisoning we had received. Unfortunately on her 25th birthday as well. I truly would like to warn anyone to avoid this place at all cost. We believe it was the rice or queso (the only things we both consumed other than chips) SEVERE FOOD POISONING ALERT DO NOT GO HERE.

The interior is amazing and really nice

Lunch specials are a great deal. The food is really good, and tends to come out pretty quick. Plus you can't beat free chips and salsa.

This trip my wife and I ordered the Shrimp Dejonghe as an appetizer and we both ordered their incredible Beef Stroganoff for dinner, simply the best! If you have never been to the avenue, you owe it to your self, your family and your friends to go. You will not regret it. Special menu for special pricing but unfortunately no steak options and this is what we came for. We ordered off regular menu as have previously done but menu was not bad if looking for something other than steak! Started out with few cocktails which were fancy and tasty. I eventually had full flavored cab that was smooth yet pricy for the 9oz pour for $28. Ouch but we were celebrating. Had shrimp cocktail to start along with 2 rounds of their dinner rolls with butter. Nice salty butter was perfect with the hot rolls. Large shrimp 6 total so great to share. All 3 of us chose filets cooked med rare plus which was perfect! Nice hot red center. We knew this from previous visit but you can add this butter to it that is delicious. So yummy you wanna lick just the butter! Indy has many steakhouses and this place rates as one of the top steaks I have ever had. This is why we splurge yearly and keep Coming back. Steaks come with Tavern salads which were actually nice size and quite good with blue cheese crumbles. Side is also included. We chose loaded baked potato, creamed spinach and corn. This is where maybe they could better. Not super hot as came out so maybe pre plated. Since it was my son's 24 th birthday celebration he got a free dessert and the crème brûlée was "chef's kiss". One of the best of it also! Had a small chocolate on top that melted into the dessert! Other than the bill at the end which we already knew was going be what it was it was a perfect dinner out. We were seated at same booth and had same waiter as last year which was lovely. He was very attentive but not overly and paced the meal perfectly like any fine dining waiter should. There is a great bar area also which I have sat at with friend from this area. They have regular seats at the bar! Parking is close in garage that the places in downtown Dublin stamp the validation so free.

My family and I dined at The Pearl Dublin on December 23rd to celebrate my cousin's birthday while…read moreshe was visiting from Montreal. While there were a few minor service issues, our server was kind and attentive and acknowledged the celebration with complimentary desserts, which we truly appreciated. After dinner, my cousin and I went to wash our hands and use the restroom. At the time, all stalls were occupied and one was out of service, so we waited. When a stall opened, my cousin kindly let me go first. I finished and stood outside the stalls waiting for her for about three minutes. During that time, I noticed several people going in and out of the restroom area. I also saw a man sitting in a chair along the hallway wall near the stalls, hunched over. Shortly after, a woman exited the restroom and grabbed him to leave. I thought nothing of it and minded my own business. I also observed the executive chef enter one of the restroom stalls. When my cousin exited, she mentioned that the stall smelled strongly of smoke and that three girls had exited the stall before she entered. She said the stall smelled like marijuana but used it only because it was the only option available. She also pointed out that the man sitting outside appeared to be associated with the group who had been in the stall. We then returned to our patio table where our family was seated. Our server brought out her birthday pie along with another complimentary dessert. She blew out the candle, we shared dessert, and we began preparing to leave. A few minutes later, while we were still seated on the patio, the general manager, Nick Krafft, approached our table accompanied by Executive Chef Michael Wagner. We initially assumed he was checking in on our experience. Instead, he immediately stated, "I'm going to have to ask you not to smoke in our restaurant and bathroom," directing the accusation at my cousin and me. We were completely taken aback by both the accusation and the manner in which it was delivered. We calmly explained that it was not us and described exactly what we had observed in the restroom. We stated that neither of us smoke and never have. We even offered to have our belongings checked and explained that we had not taken any jackets or purses with us to the restroom, as our family remained at the table. Despite this, the general manager refused to listen or consider our explanation and continued to place blame on us. He did not speak to our server, who had interacted with us just moments earlier while bringing out the birthday dessert, nor did he attempt to investigate further or de-escalate the situation. As we were leaving, my fiancé asked the general manager if he actually smelled smoke on either of us. He responded "yes," which was not true, and continued to push a conclusion he had already formed. No apology was offered. We spent over $1,000 celebrating a family birthday at a restaurant we had trusted and enjoyed in the past. Instead, the evening ended with my cousin's birthday being overshadowed by an unfounded accusation. There were many guests dining that evening, yet blame was placed solely on two women who had simply used the restroom. I am a Nurse Practitioner, and my cousin is a special education teacher for autistic children. Neither of us have ever smoked. Being accused in this manner was humiliating, hurtful, and completely unnecessary. I was later contacted by the regional manager, who was understanding. However, I believe this situation highlights the need for better investigation, accountability, and staff training to prevent similar experiences in the future. A personal apology from Nick, acknowledging his actions and taking accountability, would be an appropriate step forward after innocent guests were wrongly blamed and a birthday celebration was ruined.

Now fast forward, Dad lives in Powell and we found a second reason to return this time in the dining room with Chris as our server. I forgot how wonderful HP-Dublin is and we'll be back for the reasons shared below. My father is 82 and extremely particular. Why I LOVED having Chris as our server so much was how very on point he was from start to finish: he staggered our experience in a timely fashion, he was very clear in his communication and that was SO IMPORTANT to my father who does have hearing aids and at times, it can be challenging for him yet he never had to ask Chris to repeat himself even once. I have never had that experience with him when we are out for fine dining. The food was incredible. The service - back to Chris - was impeccable. Not even halfway through our HP-Dublin experience, my Dad said to me, "I like Chris a lot." Dad is retired FBI and let's face it - he can find fault with anything. He is pretty critical and very rarely is he ever impressed. Last night for dinner he was and that was super helpful for me and my husband as we always want Dad to be happy when dining out. Please thank Chris for us as it was a lovely dinner and we'll totally be back.

Tucci's…read morehas been on my list for quite some time--I've walked by it over the years always saying, "We should eat there someday." Well, today is that day. It's located in a busy, very popular area, and on a nice evening the atmosphere is hard to beat. Families, couples, and food lovers stroll through the charming Old Town Dublin streets. After dinner, it's common to wander across the bridge to Bridge Park or join the long (but worth-it) line for ice cream. Honestly, don't stress about the wait--where else do you have to be? Just relax and enjoy the night. Walking in was a "wow" moment. The sunken dining room has a beautiful, garden-like feel that immediately draws you in. I loved the ambiance right away, and we were greeted warmly as soon as we arrived. One small surprise--I expected to be hit with those rich Italian cooking aromas, but didn't notice much coming from the kitchen. For dinner, we ordered the rosemary focaccia with truffle butter, sausage and shrimp rigatoni, chicken fettuccine alla vodka, a Caesar salad, and a house salad. The focaccia was a hit across the table. My friends both ordered the fettuccine and really enjoyed it--I tried it as well and agree it was the standout dish. Unfortunately, my Caesar salad and the sausage and shrimp pasta fell flat. Both lacked flavor and were disappointing. I did try the house salad, though, and its dressing was excellent. So it seems like I may have just missed on my menu choices. Service, however, was the biggest issue of the night. The restaurant was not busy, but our waitress seemed to lack attention to our table. We often found ourselves looking around trying to track her down. When she did stop by, she would leave quickly without checking if we needed anything, and we had to call her back multiple times just to place orders or ask for help. She was friendly, but the service felt inattentive throughout the evening. Overall, we loved the atmosphere and the vibe, but I don't see me coming back any time soon for the food.

The highlight of the night? Grace, my favorite person at the restaurant, made a grand entrance with a half-dozen roses--delivered as requested to surprise my lovely wife. It was such a sweet touch that made me look like a hero! Once we were seated, Matt came by with two Champagne glasses and a bottle of top-shelf bubbly to toast the occasion. Talk about starting the night off right! The surprises didn't stop there--our first appetizer was on Grace, which was such a generous gesture.
