Beautiful presentation and concept, but the service completely missed the mark. I was genuinely excited to try El Tule with my friends. I love seeing elevated Mexican cuisine represented in Denver, and having been to other upscale Mexican restaurants, I know how much the overall experience -- especially the service -- can elevate the food. Unfortunately, our experience at El Tule fell short from the moment we arrived. The hostess was unwelcoming, and our server was by far the most disappointing part of the evening. Her tone often felt condescending and unfriendly, almost as if we were being talked down to for asking questions. At this price point, I don't expect anyone to roll out a red carpet, but I do expect guests to feel welcomed and respected. Upscale dining should mean elevated hospitality, not attitude. As for the food, the presentation was beautiful, but unfortunately, most of what we tried lacked flavor. I had the enfrijoladas, and the steak was delicious, but the rest of the dish was surprisingly bland. The runners were the bright spot of the service; they were kind, attentive, and made us feel much more welcome. I've had much better experiences at other elevated Mexican restaurants in Denver, where excellent food and genuinely warm hospitality go hand in hand. That's what made this experience especially disappointing. We all arrived excited to try El Tule and unfortunately left feeling like we wouldn't return.

My group and I came in for happy hour and first walking into the restaurant I noticed The ambiance was absolutely beautiful inside. Everything was neat and tidy inside. The staff was friendly, especially our server, who was attentive and handle our large group well. The drinks were well balanced and the food was good.

Good spot. Beautiful restaurant. Super modern feeling. Nice bar. Free parking for 3 hrs in the parking garage. Very convenient. Came for dinner on a Friday. Staff were very accommodating. Service was great. Got drinks apps and entres. Tequila manhattan was awesome. Other drinks were a bit sweet and foofoo for my taste. Really liked the apps. Got queso fundito con chorizo and mango passionfruit ceviche. Both were very good, especially the ceviche. Super bright and fruity but also healthy amount of halibut. The mains were ok. My wife got the halibut that we both thought was kind of hammered (overcooked) but the potato mash was good. The skirt steak was good but nothing super out of the ordinary. I think the place needs a bit more time to work out their menu for entres. Overall would come back in a while once the restaurant has some more time to iron a few kinks out. Definitely worth checking out.

Great spot for brunch! We walked in without a reservation and got a table. I had the Hibiscus Mimosa, which was a little too hibiscus-forward for my taste but still good. We also ordered guacamole, street corn, shrimp tacos, enchiladas with rice and beans, and the fire-roasted halibut. Usually in mexican restaurants I have to share enchiladas because of the huge portion size but the portion size was perfecttt for one person. The street corn never came, but the owners were kind enough to offer us drinks on the house, which we really appreciated. Overall, the food was good. The service was a little slow, but the ambience was beautiful, especially the large green tree in the restaurant. Overall, a nice place for brunch and I'd come back.

For me, Oaxacan food is some of the best to be found in Mexico, and this lovely eatery is doing a great job. We made a lunch reservation but needn't have; according to our server, weekends and nights are busy, but weekday lunches have been quiet so far. They had black mole on the menu when we went, so I ordered the Enmoladas Oaxaqueñas, chicken enchiladas in mole negro. This is a great mole sauce, obviously made with care and attention by someone who understands it. Delicious. My husband got the chicken enchiladas with both sauces, divorciada style, and said the red guajillo sauce and the green tomatillo sauce were equally tasty. I really like Oaxacan style black beans, and wanted more. That's all I've had from the menu thus far, but I plan on returning and trying more of this cravable food. The restaurant is beautiful with a very upscale vibe, and service was attentive.

One of my favorite recent openings in the Belleview area. Family-owned, super friendly service, cute space, feels like the kind of neighborhood spot you'll become a regular at. Our favorites: - Elote with crushed Hot Cheetos (or similar) -- a must-order. - NY Strip Aguachile -- honestly one of my favorite steak dishes I've had lately. Thinly sliced steak in a bright, spicy, citrusy sauce. So fresh and flavorful. Think like a spicy ponzu sauce. - Ribeye & Bone Marrow Tacos -- rich, decadent, and completely worth it. 1 Chicken Tinga Tostada -- incredibly tender and packed with flavor. I could eat these for lunch every day. - Queso Fundido -- always a winner. - Lychee Martini- Passion Fruit Margarita We mostly ordered smaller plates this visit, but the larger entrées looked fantastic. I'll definitely be back for the cochinita pibil and steak dishes. Don't leave without:- Flan- Churros Great people. Great food. Great cocktails. A really welcome addition to the neighborhood.

Experienced the worse brunch imaginable. Made a reservation for 1:15pm. We arrived on time and were seated and a gentlemen said he wasn't our waiter but would get our drinks. My guest ordered the bottomless mimosas and I got 1 mimosa and with it ordered an Iced tea. I got the Hibiscus Mimosa which was good but never got my tea. We ordered and proceeded to wait an hour for food. I kept looking around and no one had food which was a red flag. When we got I could already tell this wasn't going well. The French toast looked awful and was barely warm. I got the skirt steak and got no steak knife to cut. Our waitress Ahli but I thought she said Ashli never came and checked how good was. We had to ask multiple times for refill of Mimosas. I then asked again for Iced Tea and came with no sweetener. The steak was tough and had no flavor so I asked for any kind of salsa. My guest ordered the lunch enchiladas and when it came it had no rice or beans and an egg on top. I asked waitress about the rice and beans and she says it doesn't come and left some beans and walked away. We realized she gave us breakfast enchiladas vs the lunch but again she never came to ask if everything was ok so we couldn't even tell her. I could not wait to get out of here after waiting an hour then the food being sub par. The place is beautiful I found myself looking it was opening weekend but I saw reviews from 1-2 months ago so I don't think kitchen issues should be a factor. Also if they are having issues then the wait staff should communicate that or management. Suffice to say I won't return.

I am so excited that they finally opened. It has been a 2 year (or 5 year) journey, depending on who you ask. But this is, in my opinion, perfection. The food is based off of Oaxaca Mexican style food and has so much flavor. The cocktails are inspired and insanely fresh. Being new, it is hard to gauge but our service was excellent! There are so many ingredients in every dish that the flavors are complex. I absolutely love feel like this could be one of the next Michelin star restaurants in Colorado! They have made the effort to make this feel so luxurious and inviting. I absolutely love it here!

Food: outstanding 5/5. The margaritas were excellent. We all loved our food which included Quesa Birria tacos, the Tinga tostada, the emmoladas from Oaxaca (which came with a devastatingly good mole!), the guacamole, the passion fruit ceviche and the churros. We asked for a few extra plain tostadas for the guacamole and they did provide 3 more for an additional charge of $3 --Kind of a cheap shot given that we spent well over $300 for our 4 person table. Service: 4.5/5. Our server Shaneah was pleasant and efficient, showing up most of the time when we needed her. Ambiance: 3/5. This was the Achilles heel of El Tule. The single room was packed on a Saturday night with a table of 20 and another 15 smaller tables. It was so loud that we had to shout to be heard even at our table of four. It was really hard to hear our server. My iWatch alerted me to LOUD ENVIRONMENT at least twice. We didn't care for the sports bar atmosphere with the four large televisions above the bar. El Tule disappointed on the ambiance. Overall: 4+/5. Some of the best Oaxaca inspired food that we have found in Colorado. Mole was wonderful. Perhaps on a different night than this Saturday it would be less loud. We would definitely come back for the food, which was outstanding-- but the atmosphere was bothersome enough that we have some hesitation about a return visit.

I've been in a few times now and El Tule has never disappointed. The bar team and servers are attentive and provide amazing service. The room is absolutely gorgeous, ask about the tree in the middle of the room for a really cool story, and the food has been stellar. The cochinita was outstanding, but a portion worth sharing with a few appetizers. All that being said my standout dish has been the tinga tostada. Price point is fantastic and it is easily the best app I've had south of Denver in quite some time. Highly recommend.

After living in the greater Denver area for nearly 30 years, it was kind of a shocking experience…read moreto discover a restaurant that appears to have existed for quite some time. Until today, I had never seen or heard of Savina's before. I accidentally found Savina when I was looking for an alternative restaurant downtown after I couldn't dine at an Italian restaurant only several blocks away (they had unexpected staffing shortage so they had to close it between lunch and dinner.) When I did a search online, Savina's was only a short drive from it. I simply wanted "food" so switching the cuisine from Italian to Mexican was no problem. I needed to do work on my phone so upon arrival, I asked for a table/seat that has outlet access. The kind receptionist then recommended I grab a seat at the bar. And wow! As I proceeded to it, nicely dimmed lights with great ambiance that spreads out all the way to the four corners of the restaurant welcomed me. That was when it dawned on me that Savina's was a high-end Mexican place. Mostly booth tables with some standalone tables in the middle. Wooden beams on the ceiling and bricks as walls, the interior is mostly brown. The very bar I chose to sit at is quite spacious. What caught my attention was the copper countertops at the bar. The rustic charms that were being emitted from it were elegant indeed. As the receptionist kindly instructed me to sit right in the middle of the bar for an easy outlet access, that's exactly what I did. The person in charge at the bar was Craig. He was most professional. His attentiveness was simply timely between the moments of quick conversation he and I had at the beginning. Their menu (for the kind of restaurant Savina is) is a bit small (at least that is what I thought) and yet I don't like massive ones that have food items after another because it causes me to be indecisive so for that reason, Savina's menu size was comforting. For a restaurant with this kind of high-end feel, the prices of the dishes were quite affordable. After a thorough perusal of it, I set my eyes on the Mexican Street Taco (chicken) that comes with three tacos, rice and refried beans. And as of this writing on 9/27/2026, the price of this dish is/was $24. Craig saw me put down the menu. He wasted no time to take my order and it thus was placed with the kitchen immediately. I had about 10 minutes to enjoy the complimentary chips and salsa and my freshly made decaf. To be frank, I wasn't expecting a decaf to be this good at a Mexican restaurant. I mean it was really good. It truly hit the spot. And somehow it paired so well with the complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was also well made. My plate came out just in time. And it was quite the size. But what impressed me the most was, of course, the quality of it. The rice was well seasoned with the perfect texture/moisture. The refried beans were creamy but not to the point where it was soupy, had lots of flavors with the perfect amount of salt, and were properly mashed. And the protagonist of the plate, chicken tacos were of a good size. Each taco had a good number of diced chicken in them. And the avocado pieces in the tacos were very visible. And they were perfectly ripe with no brownness. The sauce that accompanied the tacos was also notable; a good amount of kick is what I tasted and yet it was a controlled heat. It sure was a nice enhancer. I was able to eat only half of what the plate had so I asked for a container from Craig which he promptly provided. Like I have already mentioned, Craig's attentiveness was spot on. I have to thank that Italian restaurant that was closed (LOL!) Had it not been the case, I don't think I would have discovered Savina's today. From the beautiful ambience to great service to good food, my late lunch at this Mexican restaurant was more than what I could have asked for. I will have to make a point to go back and dine there soon.

The restaurant was not very full when we got there but it was early and it was filling up when we were leaving. The homemade tortilla chips were awesome. They had just the right amount of salt. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and my husband ordered the pork burritos. Mine could have had a bit more chicken but it was still delicious. My husband said his was good although they put too many onions on top (if I had to guess it was 1/3 of an onion chopped-a little rediculous). He also had a Catalan margarita that was tasty. Our waiter was friendly and efficient. He talked to us about how he came to Denver from the east coast and liked it here. Overall, we would definitely recommend Savina's and if we are back in the area we would eat here again.

It's worth the effort though because this is one of the best meals I've had in Denver. My husband and I shared: - Avocado Margarita - Pineapple Sour - Camote Asado - Enmolada De Pato - Quesadilla Frita - Pancita Pibil - Ceviche De Atun - Callo De Hacha Al Horno Everything was delicious. My favorite dishes were the ceviche, sweet potato (camote asado), and scallops (callo de hacha al horno). I find it strange that people complain that it's expensive because it's probably less than half the price of the other Michelin star restaurants in the city. I appreciated being able to try that level of food without the price point that you typically pay for a tasting menu at many Michelin star restaurants. I was surprised that their vegetarian selection was pretty small. I'm not a vegetarian, but our vegetarian friend wasn't interested in joining because there weren't many options. We'll definitely be trying their other restaurants!

We were in at 4:45 as that was the only space available on the day we could go, and it worked out great. We got one plate from the happy hour menu and the fun avocado margarita and the old fashioned were fine cocktails. The margarita was a popular item, quite a few tables had them. I'll have to try and make one when we get home to Kona! Our server was Fiona; she was a whirlwind helping a number of tables, but we thought she was excellent and it was fun watching the staff behind the counter creating magical plates. Smiles on all of them as they worked like a team that knew and liked each other. And the plates they made were indeed delicious. I won't drill down on what we had, everyone will choose their own favorites by the end of their meal. One of our criteria when travelling is to find unique dining experiences, and this hit the mark in every way. We left after five plates and cocktails with smiles and satisfaction. While I've seen some reviews point out it was expensive, I don't feel it was overpriced for what they offer. I'd recommend this to anyone and it was an easy uber from our hotel. Mahalo.

I grabbed a seat at the bar where the bartender was friendly and engaging. On a recent Wednesday at 7:15, the restaurant was packed. When I left around 8:30, it was still busy. That's usually the best review a restaurant can get. Loyal customers don't keep coming back out of habit. They come back because it feels like home. The all-day happy hour margarita for $9 certainly doesn't hurt. The second one arrives before you've had time to argue yourself out of it. I ordered the enchiladas with carne asada and their house mole. If you're expecting one of those intensely complex moles with enough ingredients to fill a pantry, this isn't that. Adelitas' version is comforting, approachable, and deeply homey. It tastes less like a culinary experiment and more like something your abuela has been making for decades. The carne asada was tender, the rice and beans were exactly what they should be, and every bite reminded me why comfort food never goes out of style. Before leaving, I made the smartest decision of the evening. Tres leches to go. I devoured it later at home while Netflix asked if I was still watching. The cake somehow manages to be light while completely satisfying. Don't skip it. Better yet, don't pretend you're saving it for tomorrow. Adelitas isn't trying to impress you. It's trying to feed you well, welcome you warmly, and send you home happier than when you arrived. Whether your abuela was Mexican...or Greek...you'll understand exactly what they're serving here.
