I love coming to this El Torito location. I arrived at 9am this Sunday morning. There were no lines , and plenty of fresh food. My boyfriend and I always make sure to self seat at the bar area, so we can have Adrianna as our server. I have not been to an El TORITO in several years so I was excited when I came across this location while in the area. We walk in and are seated immediately. We are told it's Taco Tuesday so tacos are $3 each and that it's happy hour. Good to know! Chips and salsa were served immediately. Unfortunately, the chips were really salty. We ordered and it took longer than we expected to get our orders, but I assumed it was due to the large party seated near by and it was starting to get busy. We shared a guacamole, which was decent. I had the fajita salad. The dressing was very good but the chicken could have used more seasoning. My partner had the sizzling green chicken enchiladas. Those were fantastic! I made a reservation and ended up sitting at the bar because there was a game on and I could watch it while I ate. I enjoyed their happy hour pricing. Drinks and some appetizers that have better prices. I also had a taco trio plate that was very good. They had a DJ in the bar and it was excessively loud. Make sure you sit on the further side away unless you really enjoy yelling in order to talk to your guest. We celebrated my husbands 50th bday today. We had a party of 13. This was our first time at the Ontario location and felt greatly welcomed . Food stations were neat with fresh and delicious food, plenty of choices. The ambiance was great. Big shout out to our waitress "MARIA"!!! Disaster of an early (5 pm) dinner on New Year's Eve. It was not busy. Waitress was very slow and forgetful. My autistic child had the hamburger and after asking twice, she still never got any ketchup for her french fries. My wife had a salad instead of rice/beans, and it arrived at the table without salad dressing. I had the sizzling enchiladas. First bite and I pulled a hair out of my mouth that was so long, the other end was still in the enchilada. Had to go find the waitress. The manager replaced my entree, but they still charged me full price. Complete lack of awareness. My entree should have been comped as a sign of good will and hope for us to not disavow El Torito forever. It was an $80 bill and they missed the mark on 3 of 3 meals. I arrived a half hour before closing it had been a very long travel day and I was starving I saw the restaurant was walking distance from my hotel and it was still opened. I was greeted by a friendly staff member and given options to where I prefer to be seated. I sat at the first both I saw had she gave me the menu and my search was on. There were many items to choose from that looked very enticing to me she came back with a big basket of chips and salsa and took my drink order I hadn't decided what I wanted to eat yet but I knew I wanted a midori margarita. A few minutes later she was back with my awesome drink and it was perfectly made. She took my food order and not to long after out came this amazing sizzling platter of steak peppers and onions with flour tortillas. The Ontario El Torito location is second to none! We love their Sunday brunch, and this location is huge! So many choices, and each one is delicious, hot, fresh, and just so yummy! You have a choice of indoor or outdoor seating, and there is a lot of room! It is not too crowded. It's very spacious and the tables are set up well. Our server, Maria A., is so amazing! Came here with my favorite Cousin and man, were we seated quickly! The place was packed, and we were prepared to wait. We ordered the watermelon margaritas which came right out with our chips followed by our food which appeared in front of us unless than 10 minutes! So many sentimental memories here sharing all-you-can-eat Sunday brunch on special occasions with family. Even now, I feel like I'm going to Disneyland when we get to enjoy brunch here. I have not been in eight years because of living on the East Coast. When my brother-in-law suggested a large family all-you-can-eat brunch on Sunday, I was mentally doing cartwheels. This weekend brunch spot is excellent for the entire family. My kids have so many good memories from when they were in the single digits and still love it today. The dessert bar alone will make your kids (of any age) excited. The Mexican Caesar salad here is my all-time favorite. I always used to buy their prepared salad kits that @costco sold a few years ago. My first plate after eight years was the all-you-can-eat salad bar Mexican Caesar salad and it tasted exactly how I remembered. We enjoyed the omelette bar, the taco bar, the Menudo and pozole, the entrée buffet, the breakfast buffet, and last but definitely not least, the large dessert buffet. You may order delicious Churro pancakes at the table with all-you-can-eat buffet. Buffet tables near the entrance have a lowered table with kid friendly options, a beverage bar, including hot chocolate and coffee, and seafood, such as ceviche and shrimp Alfredo. STEPH JUDGEMENT: Pretty nice ambiance but so-so food and service. We'd just rolled into Ontario and we thought this would be a convenient midafternoon snack stop. We were sat in the pleasant, light-filled dining area near the bar and and a friendly server dropped off some menus. We weren't too hungry, so just decided to share the rolled taco combo appetizer and I ordered their strawberry cilantro soda, which sounded refreshing. We asked if we could have all veggie tacos, as the default is a combination of meats, and at first the server seemed to think that wasn't allowed, but she checked with the chef who said he'd do it. So far, so good. When the tacos came out they were unfortunately pretty disappointing. They weren't as crisp as they should have been, maybe due to the water content of the vegetables, but the insides were borderline gummy, saved only by the delicious creamy chipotle sauce that came with it. The rice and beans were fine. Our server was very nice, but I think she was new and maybe overwhelmed, because things took forever, and she kept forgetting my strawberry cilantro soda. When I did finally get it, though, it was indeed delicious and refreshing: not too cilantro-y or too sweet. Overall it was just an ok experience--your mileage may vary. read more
