I went her to celebrate my 55th bday it's on Christmas but decided to have a dinner ahead of the Birthday. I made reservation months in advance for a small table maybe 6-8 people. I showed up at 6:15 reservation was for 6:30. I was told by the manager that he would have to get my table ready first and i could go to the bar to wait and enjoy a drink on happy hour. I did not want to go to the bar I wanted to sit at the table I reserved months in advance. There's no seating in the waiting area only outside so I proceeded outside and waited at 6:40 pm I walked in with a friend of mine who had showed up and asked if my table was ready he said no. It was no busy at all in that entire restaurant. Maybe 5-10 people total which made me wonder even more why my table was not ready yet. So we went to the bar and had a beverage and the rest of my party showed up and came to the bar. Approximately 30 min later the manager came to the bar and told us " Are you coming to your table, if not we have lots of people waiting." We said yes and went to the table there was not one person waiting for any tables. There were maybe 5 people already seated and being served in the entire restaurant. This was upsetting to me I was treated unfairly. The food was ok and the service was good. But the entire process from the start to finish was poor. I will not go back to Wl Torito again. read more

Sunday brunch is beautiful live mariachi band. What was the most lovely waitresses we've ever had! Milvia was so kind and fun! I'm not sure exactly when they did the renovations, but it looks spectacular. The walls are beautiful the sweet decorations just add that extra touch to make you feel like you are having a true authentic experience. What was supposed to be a special celebration turned into an extremely stressful and upsetting experience. We had a reservation for 11:15 AM, yet we were not seated until approximately 12:20 PM. Waiting over an hour despite having a reservation was unacceptable. When we were finally seated, we were placed in what appeared to be an overflow area inside the patio. The tables were packed so tightly together that it felt unsafe and hazardous in the event of a fire or emergency. Every time the guests at the table next to us needed to get up, I had to completely stop what I was doing just to allow them to pass through. This was not the fault of the guests or the staff serving us, but clearly a management issue caused by overbooking, accepting too many walk-ins, and being understaffed. I want to acknowledge that our server did the best she could under the circumstances, and I truly felt bad for her because she seemed overwhelmed. Unfortunately, the poor organization and overcrowding made the overall experience miserable. Additionally, the food quality was disappointing, and due to the extreme overcrowding, I was barely able to try many items from the brunch. Every time I attempted to get food, stations were either empty or there were overwhelming crowds of people packed together. As someone who struggles with anxiety and claustrophobia, this environment was extremely triggering and uncomfortable. If I had to rate this experience, it would be a negative score. I can honestly say I will never return to this location again. This experience completely ruined Mother's Day for me, my mother, and my sister. I understand that Mother's Day is one of the busiest days of the year for restaurants, but that does not justify creating unsafe conditions and putting guests at risk simply to maximize profit. There should have been proper crowd control, spacing, staffing, and reservation management in place. I also spoke directly with the manager, Myriam, to express my concerns during our visit. Unfortunately, she did not appear concerned or interested in resolving the situation, and I left feeling as though my concerns were dismissed entirely. I am extremely upset by this experience and plan to pursue a formal complaint. I also took pictures and videos documenting the overcrowding and unsafe conditions as proof that proper protocols were not being followed. read more

Excellent!!! From the start to finish. First upon entering the restaurant, Daniel the host was so nice. I was all done and he walked me around the restaurant to find a table comfortable for me. The entire place is HUGE, and incredibly clean! I ended up in the main floor at regular table with server Rosa. She was very quick, and helpful. Smiled, and asked frequently if I needed anything. I had chicken enchiladas and a jalapeños cucumber margarita. The enchiladas were so yummy, I ate every bite on my plate! The margarita was refreshing and if I wasn't driving I'd have many many more! This place has an excellent happy hour. Many options on the HH menu that include fish, beef, and chicken. All at reasonable prices. They also have a nice draft beer selection of Mexican beers and the house margaritas were large and delicious. Our bartender and the rest of the staff were super friendly and he whipped up some table side guacamole. All of the appetizers were great, and the mahi was grilled nicely. Bar area is pretty dimly lit with a few tvs. This is a great spot to grab a beer and a quick bite if you're near the airport. Service was pretty quick. read more

Visited this location for their lunch buffet... 19.99 per person. The buffet contained their traditional Caesar salad, enchiladas, meat/potatoes, rice, and refried beans. In addition a taco bar with carnitas, steak, and chicken options with cabbage, cilantro/onions; and cheese, along with various deserts including flan, corn cake, and carrot cake. The restaurant itself was large and spacious with plenty of booths and tables. The floors were a little on the dirty side, but the tables were presentable. The server brought us salsa and chips with out drinks. The service from our male server was top notch. For the food it was a mixed bag. The taco bar was hot and fresh with two salsa options. The meat was hot and tender with warm corn tortillas. The salad was tasty with the Mexican Caesar salad dressings. The enchiladas were plain and not very tasty, but the sides were lacking. Bottomless mimosas and brunch! We went around 11 am on a Sunday morning even though it was pretty busy we opted to sit outside and were sat immediately. Our server greeted us with French toast pancakes and took our drink order. The mimosas are obviously delicious, and they were always full. The coffee is self serve. I tried the menudo and it was pretty good, the broth was a little watery not as rich as I'm used too. The pozole verde was also good. The chilaquiles were really really good and crispy which for a buffet is surprising. The rice and beans were also good they tasted homemade. The chile verde wasn't too spicy but it was very tasty. The elote tamale was my favorite even though it was in pieces. The pancakes they served us when we arrived were really sweet and fluffy. They had so many options and kid friendly, I couldn't try everything but everything that I did try was worth it. I ordered a mojito flight and enjoyed the mango chile and ended up ordering the full-size of that drink. This drink just hit the spot. Ordered the Chile verde plate with chunks of tender pork pieces served with rice and beans. My favorite part of El torito is their homemade tortillas- ask for a side of butter. Finished meal off with an order of the deep fried ice cream which never disappoints. A classic Mexican American restaurant. Service was friendly but a little slow. I have only been here once, at the recommendation of some close friends. The location is quiet, low key and tucked away in ontario not to far from the mall. Interestingly they have one area for dinners to sit that want to enjoy their regular menu and the bar section is for those that want to indulge in happy hour. Speaking of their happy hour is almost every day and goes until closing during game nights. In the bar area there is a security guard that does a thorough pat down before you can head in for happy hour. The bar area is thankfully very expansive and seems to be where most people hang out. There is a dance floor of if you care to get your boogie on as well. There is a large drink menu with I appreciated. From shots to beers to mixed drinks, so you get to have options depending on your mood. It's not just bud light or coors. They also have food to order, although they are not large portions by any means. They are more like heavy hors d'oeuvres. I got the sopes, which come in twos and only chicken. This was the first time I've ever had a chicken some but it was fantastic. My only issues was I wish it was larger. It was the first time I've had a sope that didn't have beans on it as well. My friend got their sliders which come in four. It's one of her favorite items, but again it looked very much in the small side. I recommend giving them a try if your in the mood for drinks and a good atmosphere. I will check them out again to try their general dinning in the future. read more
