Perfect spot for pretty good tacos and soup. Ordered a Caldo de pollo, torta of milanesa, and bean and cheese taco. All pretty good. The torta included aguacado, lettuce and tomato, the caldo was veggie full and the bean and cheese taco and the perfect ratio of bean and cheese. I enjoy this place. Started by picking up breakfast tacos at the window. By far my favorite place. Went inside for lunch and had the enchilada plate for lunch. Very good. And free chips and salsa which is rare these days. Friendly service. Don't mind the curb appeal. It's all good. read more

I love this place they have a cheerleader Alamo that is hot spicy burn your tongue off but it is so darn good I couldn't stop eating it. Was in town looking for a quick cheap bite to eat. This came up on the recommendations. Really the free sopapilla is what caught my attention. Then come to find out you get a free drink with your plate and a chips and salsa. The food is SOOOOO good. Authentic. The salsas were spicy and good. I had the verdes enchiladas. I added chicken and grilled green pepper to the top. Soooooo much food. I definitely had leftovers. Everything was so well priced too. Don't skip out on this one. read more

We came here after a martial arts event. I brought the family, haven't tried it in years. This place made me feel nostalgic. Again, is it the best Mexican place in town, not even close. Yet it satisfied our criteria. Affordable, fast, not crowded, and homemade corn tortillas. My son had the fajita quesadilla, the misses had the carne guisada. Of course the midget loved the rice. He loved it all. My only gripes with my plate, was that the beans had the bottom of the pot taste and feel to them. Not bad tasting, I think it was because they were almost to closing time. The sauces were not vey good. They weren't spicy or made very well. One tasted like all tomatillo. The corn tortillas were very good. The reason it became a solid four and not an almost three was the treat at the end. The free sopapilla! Just because it was free, they did not mail it in. Might just be my favorite breakfast tacos in town. Their tortillas are so freaking good and thick. I always get bacon potato and egg and it's so good. My husband gets barbacoa and loves it--he's super picky about his barbacoa and has had it from all over town. So much less expensive than other taco places, too. Free sopapillas don't hurt either . Love TC's I just wish they would put more beans on there bean and cheese chalupas. This is the second time I have gotten them. The first time I just thought maybe it's the person but the second time also the same. It's paper thin and they only put in the middle of the tortillas. Today I didn't get any tomatoes. Three different salsas and fresh homemade corn chips to start. A wait staff that makes you feel so special! Now the food some of the best homemade flour and corn tortillas I have every had, and the menudo is so good and a bowl full of tripe and hominy. My wife had enchilada platter and really enjoyed that as well. When you think you are finished here come the fresh made Sopapillas sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar and drizzled with honey. It's a hit or miss Mexican restaurant sometimes the food is good other times you feel you got ripped off. The customer service is always great. I know food is high but serving days old reheated food or skimpy tacos is not okay for what the prices are now. Oh and if you like capirotada (Mexican pudding bread) Tex-mex style don't get it at this restaurant. It's a over water downed way to much coconut(yuck) barely any cheese and white cheese at that.. and peanuts .....peanuts need I say more...no flavor mess. Daily Lunch Specials just $4.99 Chile Rellenos and Enchiladas Plate are my fabulous chips served with a gucamole style hot sauce and a traditional hot sauce.
