OK, so this place is not much to look at from the outside. It is located in a very dated shopping center next to a Latino grocery store. The interior is pretty barren too, with minimal décor and functionary seating. My co-workers often show up with take-out from here, and when I saw their quesadillas, I knew I must get one for myself. They didn't even know the name of the place, only that it said 'Chicken and Ribs' above the door. They have no take-out menu or website. So I ventured here one day after school. I was not disappointed! Their shrimp quesadilla ($10.95) is delicious! It is super cheesy and is filled with chunks of shrimp. I ate 3/4, and I was full. They serve it with plenty of salsa, sour cream, guacamole, and lettuce. It was well worth the price, which isn't cheap compared to all the taquerias in a two mile radius of this place. I think this place must have an active nightlife scene. I was there at 3pm and there were already two men drinking at the bar! It looks life it serve as a nightclub on the weekends since they are open late into the night. I finally found a place near my school that is worth visiting time and time again, although it will be mainly for take-out.

So, let's start with food. Once we were seated and greeted by Sara, we sat around and talked for a bit before deciding what we wanted. The drink menu is wild so I opted for a beer. After all, it is a brewery! I opted for an IPA, my friend also ordered a beer (Dark & Stormy, a dark beer), and the other ordered a drink. Although my beer was 11%, it wasn't bitter and tasted juicy! It was good. I got the fish & chips w/coleslaw, one friend ordered onion rings and the other ordered salmon. Those onion rings were banging! and the coleslaw was pretty good too. Who doesn't love some fish & chips. Sometimes you just want something crispy! Overall, the food was decent. But let's talk about the general store-----------WOW! It's stocked with EVERYTHING!! Mugs, puzzles, seasonings, socks, leggo's, books, anything you can imagine. It's wild! Then......they also have liquor and beer. I'm talking craft beer, good wine, etc. Oh, and let's throw in an ice cream shop. Yes, an ice cream shop. They have everything! Check it out for yourself!

We started with cream of crab soup - love! Followed by General Tao Cauliflowers with the sauce on the side. The Cauliflowers were perfectly fried and seasoned. The burger was cooked well, the toppings were fresh, and the bun was soft. The fries were hot and crispy, which was a plus. Unfortunately, the burger itself was pretty average and lacked the bold flavor I was expecting, especially for the price. The cheese wasn't fully melted, and overall it just didn't stand out. The portion size was good, but I left feeling like it wasn't worth nearly $20 for a basic burger and fries. Service was fine, and the restaurant was clean, so I wouldn't rule out trying something else on the menu in the future. Overall, it was an okay meal--nothing bad, but nothing memorable either.

I mean this experience might have been worse than the season finale of game of thrones. My wife ordered the oxtails and green jollof rice. First off, the rice tasted like wet grass. The oxtail was a sad excuse for oxtail. For context my wife is Caribbean so I've had my share of delicious oxtail, their oxtail tasted like they simply didn't even try. Now let's get to my food. I ordered the simplest thing on the menu the Steak and Frites. I'll give it to them the frites were pretty decent, but that's where my compliments end. I ordered my steak medium like a decent human being. The first steak came out and tasted like what I imagine an old used tire taste like, it was well done by the way. The next steak that came out 20 minutes later although closer to medium was surprisingly worse. It's was extremely rubbery with zero flavor. All together I would not recommend. The fact they sell this sad excuse for food is baffling. Sincerely, A concerned customer

We got to the restaurant and were welcomed to a sign that read, "make our way to 1123". Thank goodness it's directly across the street. We walked into 1123 and they honored the entire experience as if they were Huncho House, complimentary champagne, yay; nothing was amiss. We were able to order off the Huncho House menu which I was happy about because that is where we wanted to dine. For those that don't know, Huncho House is a little treasure in the College Park area. Everything is always good and Chef Tobias menu never misses! Let's get into it! Deviled Eggs - They put a fried shrimp on top! These are a fave! Wagyu Cheesesteak Egg Rolls - OMG good! They don't have typical bacon or sausage because "the owners don't eat pork" which really sounds like something more appropriate for their house, and not their restaurant business on Rhode island ave. The "chicken sausage" was a shriveled up piece of chicken paste that they cooked in the microwave. I ordered scrambled eggs, and when they came out, they had that crust that scrambled eggs get when they sit out after being cooked. The grits were lumpy and outside of the cheese sauce they put on the top - had no flavor. The French toast tasted like milk eggs and burnt grill. And the pancakes, were very obviously pre made and microwaved. Additionally - the meal I ordered is listed to come with a bread, eggs, a side and a meat. I asked for bacon, and was told the owners don't eat pork. I asked for the chicken sausage.. 5 minutes later the server asked me if I wanted the sausage spicy or not. Then when she brought the bill, there was a $4 up charge for spicy sausage that she neither told me, nor was it on the menu. And to make matters worse - the sausages were not spicy and were actually just flat out nasty. This is a SAD excuse for a restaurant. I'm sad that I spent calories walking there and dollars eating there.

Our waitress, Lydia, exhibit attentive and efficient service the entire night. She helped us with the menu, checked on us throughout the night, and refilled our drinks. She did this while serving the entire place. I would describe the service as empathetic and refreshing. Food: The wings here are really good. They are sizable and they don't hold back on the sauce. The skin is crispy and the wings are properly seasoned and cooked. We also got the burger. It was good, but slightly over cooked from the "medium" I requested. The pizza was very good and cheesey. It almost tasted homemade (in a good way). I'd get it again. Ambiance: It's a local bar with plenty of TVs to enjoy the game. It's a bar crowd, so expect some yelling and music, which fits the atmosphere. I like the decor, and the place smelled clean. I'd definitely come here to watch the game and have some wings.

A Hidden Gem I never…read morewould have found Oasiz Bar & Grill if my aunt hadn't chosen it for her 60th birthday dinner. It's tucked away in an industrial area off Route 50, and unless you're looking for it, you'd probably never know it was there. We had a party of 12, and almost everyone in our group was visually impaired, including my mom. Dining out with a group like ours can sometimes be challenging, but the staff did a really nice job. As the only one at the table with 20/20 vision, I can honestly say they took the time to explain the menu, answer questions about the food and drinks, announce themselves when they approached the table, and help everyone through the payment process. Those extra touches meant a lot and made everyone feel comfortable. I ordered the wings and a drink, and my mom had wings, a salad, and a drink. Everything was fresh, the wings were cooked well, the drinks were good, and the portions were generous for the price. The restaurant itself has a cozy, laid-back neighborhood feel. It isn't a fancy place, but it's clean, comfortable, and somewhere I'd happily come back to. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because of the service at the end of our meal. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, but apparently his shift ended as soon as he took our orders. The manager and bartender stepped in and did the best they could, but with a large group that was mostly visually impaired, it made things a little more confusing than they needed to be, especially when it came time to sort out everyone's food and separate checks. No one was rude, and they worked hard to make it right, but I think management could have handled that transition a little better. Overall, I had a great experience. The food was good, the prices were reasonable, and I really appreciated how welcoming the staff was to our group. I'd definitely come back, and I'd recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area.

I called to order pickup, and the service was nice and friendly. Also, the spot is very reliable, as it's open until midnight and roughly 16 hours of the day, serving many different options, from fast food to comfort food. I ordered the combo over rice ($13), the Philly cheesesteak combo with French fries and lemonade ($15.49), five wings with one waffle ($13.49), and a carrot cake slice ($4). - The fried chicken wings were alright for your typical fast food chicken. - Waffle was decent: it was soft & fluffy. - The combo over rice was solid, and I liked the chicken the most. - Philly cheesesteak was okay and would've been even better if it had provolone instead of the cheese whiz. - French fries were solid: they were crispy with some seasoning on them. - The house-made lemonade was alright, and I would be open to getting it again. - The carrot cake isn't anything crazy, it's alright, but I do appreciate the $4 price tag cause others would charge double or more for a slice. Overall, the spot does a good job with fair pricing, fast comfort food, and reliable hours. I'd come back and recommend.
