Front-facing staff set the tone for an organization, and today's interactions did not reflect the welcoming, family-friendly environment one would expect, especially in a space that serves children and families.

This facility is located right on the corner of P.C.H. and Pier Ave, and serves as sort of an ambassador to the city. You don't have to be a local to come on in, and take any number of classes. These classes are reasonably priced, and taught by professionals in their fields. One of the newest classes hosted by the community center is the ARTZ Unlimited School program. This program consist of a children s program in which they are taught to draw everything from landscapes to animals in pastel, watercolor, and even oil. There is also an adult program for oil painting, or watercolor. these classes offer individualized attention, small class sizes, and All Skill Levels. It really has some great new obstacles for older children, but has lots of pockets of fun for even my one-year-old. It is half sand and half rubber, so do come expecting a sand park. The nautical theme with whales and pelicans is a fun interaction for the tots too. OH, I can't vouch for it myself, but they added a skate park too. It's pretty large and as the morning went on, it got pretty busy, so I would assume it's good. I included one picture of it from the playground. There was also loud music, some people playing drums, homeless...really weird feel to this place. Very sketchy and unsafe. Really disappointing. They need a lot more security.
