One of those places you wish you could keep low-key but it's to amazing to keep it as secret. Come try it yourself if you love seafood..

Mixed omelet
Colaroyal ..

I had the mixed omelet (chorizo & steak) was perfect with country potatoes. Server was nice and food came out quick. The coffee was really good not your typical restaurant coffee. I really want to come back this afternoon and have the seafood tower

Aguachile half eaten... (sorry)

Went there for the first time last weekend and had the aguachile verde and the scallop special and it was AMAZING! Headed back to Sac this weekend just to try more! The service was exceptional and the horchata was perfect!

Ceviche de Peacado

First time and won't be the last. Clean, friendly service. Ordered the fish ceviche was so good barely got to take a picture. The sauce it came with is worth coming for. They have micheladas, mimosas beer.

Pulpo Sarandeado. If the octopus comes out this delicious, imagine how everything else taste.

Always coming back here 100% I am going to be so sad but incredibly happy for them once everyone figures out this place exists and it becomes super busy. I've tried several restaurants and have no idea why this never popped up, but let me tell you right now, I have no regrets. I had such a huge craving for octopus and got their Pulpo Sarandeado and it was immaculate. Presentation was so beautiful even when I got it for takeout. They listened to my request for extra spicy sauce on the side and even provided me a bag with tostada shells/crackers. Super sweet of them! Call me dramatic, but it's one of the best octopus I've had in a while. Super super tender and didn't have that rubbery texture from being overcooked. Each bite paired with the mango/onion/avocado and the sauce on the side made it so much better. Just an explosion of flavor, especially with a bit of lime, that instantly made me want to try everything else they had to offer. Does this not show you how much time and love they put in making every meal? Incredibly happy I spotted this restaurant and gave it a shot. I mean- look how beautiful this looks! Definitely worth your time/money with how large these portion sizes are. Please support them.

Mis Compas. I don't know who taught them how to make mariscos but they were taught right. I went back on two occasions to get their Torre Mariquera. It is banging. It has Callos De Hacha, Cooked Shrimp, Raw Shrimp, Octopus, FRESH TUNA and some other stuff. Sauce and flavor is on point. I feel like it's a great deal given it has hella seafood. Seafood quality reminded me of when I travel to Baja Sur or Sinaloa. Seafood also tastes fresh. I know the scallops were definitely fresh. Great deal in my opinion for what you get. Caguamas and cubetas were also reasonably priced. I walked by the kitchen and could see in. They were definitely clean. It's a new business and it seems like they're doing it right to make a name. I'll be back with family. Signed, ElTioBorracho

I have tried various Mexican restaurants and food joints in the Sacramento/Rancho Cordova area and this one is a stand out! It is very family friendly, and the staff here is very helpful. On one occasion I brought my 3 year old and my Abuelita, and they both liked the spot! I appreciate that kind of atmosphere. Some of the standout dishes to me are the coctel de camarón and aguas chiles. Although I have tried their arrachera and postres and they were delicious too. I have not tried one thing off the menu I didn't like. I would definitely come back!

Agua Chile verde

Love this place. Great food and service! Love the ambience of this place. It's my new go-to restaurant!

It was very busy but you can tell the staff was on top of everything and the music was literally such a vibe. It reminded me of just being around family enjoying a Sunday afternoon. Our waiter was friendly and offered the specials, not gonna lie we wanted to try everything. My husband and I enjoyed a michelada and our daughter had a Pepsi. We clearly ordered way too much much and had plenty to take home for dinner tomorrow. Everything was AMAZING! We're already planning our next trip out here. My daughter said 10/10! My friend got a seafood boil. Our food came out in less than 10 minutes, which was surprisingly fast. I cut into my steak right away to check the temp, it was extremely rare. Cut into a different part of steak just to make sure, also rare. When I showed our server she agreed it was rare and took it back to the kitchen. She comes back after talking to the kitchen and tells me the cook said its not rare, its just the marinade that makes it look dark. I'm like, "huh?" Cause that made no sense to me. Still they cooked the same steak another 5-7 minutes before bringing it back. Now it was a perfect medium. It was obvious they just threw the same steak back on the grill, the 2 cuts i made were still visible. All was good till our server came back to check on us, she asked how the steak came out, when I said it was perfect, she continues to insist it was medium well when I sent it back based on what the kitchen told her, several times she made excuses and would not once admit or own up to the mistake despite me showing her the cut piece of steak on my plate. I get it, most of the food here is seafood that's boiled in a plastic bag, but if you're gonna sell a 45$ steak on the menu, at least train your staff properly.

The Cajun style seafood boils are consistent, messy in a fun way, and generally satisfying, which is a big part of why this place stays so busy. It's definitely a great spot for groups. The whole setup with the bags of seafood, sauces, and sides makes it interactive and social, and it works well when you've got a table full of people sharing everything. That said, the experience can be a bit uneven. The service is something I've always questioned. It's not always poor, but it's very inconsistent. Some visits feel smooth and attentive, others feel a bit off, especially considering how busy they usually are. Food wise, I've always had a good meal here. Nothing has ever been bad, but it also doesn't really stand out beyond what you'd expect from this style of place. It delivers on the concept without really going beyond it. Overall, it's a reliable option if you're craving a seafood boil or going out with a group, and I understand why it's popular. For me, it lands right in that average category.

As there are a lot of seafood options. However there is hotpot options and other noodle and rice dishes as well. The restaurant has a small outdoor patio. Inside has spacious table seating, some with booth and good lighting inside. There was ballad vietnamese music video playing. The restaurant was not busy and there were elderly men at the tables playing cards and some at another table they were chatting & drinking. Im not sure if they hold karaoke or have live bands but there is a stage with music instruments and a projector with installed party lights. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted right away. It was a bummer when they told us they didn't make ox tail or bum rieu today. Instead we ordered beef tartare, beef pho and shaken beef with rice. The beef tartare was this sliced raw beef with onion, herbs and lime which made the dish rich and savory. The pho was mediocre and same goes for the shaken beef, but both dishes were still tasty enough. During our time there, the server did not check on us or refill our water. If I'm craving for seafood, maybe I'll come back to try their seafood options.

The interior is as massive as ever and the dim sum carts are still rolling. What made this visit stand out was the service. The aunts and uncles working today were incredibly warm and welcoming. A few of them went out of their way to compliment our young daughters and made sure we were comfortable and taken care of the entire time. That level of friendliness wasn't always the case in the past, so this felt like a really pleasant and noticeable change. The food remains consistently solid and deeply nostalgic. Every bite brings back memories of younger days, and now it's special in a different way because we get to experience it again with our daughters. It feels like passing a small piece of the past on to the next generation. During our visit we experienced great food, genuine service, and a lot of nostalgia packed into one meal.

UPDATE 4/6/2026…read more Prices are more transparent now than previously in the past. Menu items are more consistent now where as in the past the portion size would vary based off of your party size as I noticed before when ordering entree items. One time we had a party of two and ordered a dish and was smaller than when visiting with a party of 4. Same price you're paying you should get the same size portion regardless. Kings has made improvements over the years. The food is still great and worth going to!

I grabbed a couple to-go, one flavored with the captain's choice and the other with the Cajun garlic butter. Both were very good, but the captain's choice had more flavor because it was a combination of all the sauces. Each boil had a snow crab claw ( with four legs), approximately 10 shrimps, plenty of sausage, a potato, and a hard boiled egg. The flavors were rich in garlic and Cajun flavor, and the egg and potato was perfect in balancing spiciness of the sausage and sauce. Though purchasing to-go is a great option, I would prefer to dine in, in their large dining room, set up nicely for parties of all sizes.
