Himalayan Fusion Cost for 2 was under 35…read more Please guys you have got to try these guys. My review, yes its long, but when you have something that good you have to share it with everyone. Im writing this after my food coma from Himalayan Fusion. My husband (with the long hair) walked into the food zone while I waited in the truck because I was guarding my new bike in the bed. He called me to tell me of the amazing, passionate owners he just spoke to and sent me the menu. I was astonished to see the selection that was offered in my quiet little country town. My husband told me that the owner said that the Samosa Chaat was an or**Sim in the mouth. I am telling you from the deepest part of my heart, this is a severe understatement. I am a very big foodie and I have been to some of the best restaurants Houston and New Orleans has to offer. The honest dear truth is this by far the best thing I have ever tasted. As soon as the first bite hit my tongue while sitting in my truck freezing, a Kaleidoscope of flavors hit my tongue it danced around from sweet, slightly spicy to exotic spices with a smooth coconut cream sauce that is beautifully drizzled on top of the samosas and is dressed beautifully with all the Indian and Himalayan flare of a Michelin star rated restaurant. I was honestly instantly moved to tears. I felt like this is the first time I've actually tried real food. My husband (with the long hair) got the Momos which came with a large variety of sauces to dip them in. Fresh Coriander chutney, a Tamarind chutney, the best homemade curry sauce, and a beautifully spicy curry sauce. The momos are hand crafted little masterpiece that are strong enough to stand on their own, but the sauces take it to the next level. He also surprised me with aloo crisps. They are thinly slices potatoes that has been perfectly fried in a liquid seasoned batter. The flavor profile as well as the aromatics that danced in your nose are truly astonishing the more bites you take the more flavor comes arise and dances your taste buds to pure silliness. My husband and I became like little kids again, as we were staring at each other completely astonished in the amazing place that we have just discovered. So much that I sent my husband back not one more but four more separate times to order more. It is now close to 8:00 at night and I am calling every person that I can and waking them up out of the early Slumber just to tell them what an amazing experience that we just had. I had to meet them. When you have such an amazing experience of something of complete surprise you always must thank the people who are responsible. When I met the husband and wife, they were so proud and so deeply touched when I was explaining to them what an amazing experience that we just had, and that we're going to be telling everyone that we know to please come support these two incredible people because they truly have an art that must be supported. Please, if you have made it this far in my review, go try their food. Step out of your comfort zone. You will not be disappointed. They are very affordable and the flavor is unmatched. Ditch the fast food joints and spend a lovely evening supporting a passionate local chefs that are @!%! Good at what they do. To the amazing Chefs, you have us for life. See you next Friday!!!

Worst Mexican food I've ever had and I'm not a picky person lol the meat tasted sour everyone…read moreagreed that it was probably bad..food isn't fresh at all just terrible! My enchiladas had no sauce they were so dry. They put a little picante on top like the stuff you get at the grocery store with some weird tasting tangy sauce pretty sure the sauce was old also. The entire time I was saying to myself "I hope I don't get food poisoning" don't eat here. Also the service is slowwwwww

There seemed to be one single employee running the place, while also caring for her children. And yes, there were children running around, one of which was scooting around the restaurant barefoot on a scooter, yelling, climbing on furniture, etc. It took a while for drinks and food to arrive since, again, there was one single waitress - and although she was very nice, she seemed absolutely overworked and probably could have used at least one other person to help. All of this could have been forgiven, however, if the food had been any good at all. For one thing, they were sold out of several things we asked for. We ended up ordering the fajitas (chicken, beef, and shrimp), and they were just awful. The meat was dry and oversalted and the shrimp was completely inedible and stuck to the shell. The guacamole was that weird squeeze bag stuff and the pico seemed old, like the kind you get at the grocery store that sits in a container and has zero flavor. I'm only giving the restaurant two stars instead of one because the salsa was pretty good. The green was definitely better, but they were both pretty good. Like I said, I am pretty easy to please and most of the issues could have been forgiven. The kids don't bother me, I don't mind waiting a bit, I understand that restaurants can be understaffed at times. However, I just can't forgive the pretty clear lack of effort behind the food.

A group of my friends and I had been out at an event near Valley Ranch and decided to get some…read moredinner after it was over. Chuy's at the Valley Ranch shopping center is fairly new and we figured we would give it a try. We got there around 7:30 pm and it wasn't too crowded, being a Tuesday night and we they quickly set up a table for 8 people. Our server was a young girl and came out to take drink orders. In 5 minutes or so she was back and started taking the food orders. I don't envy servers who wait tables with a large group of friends like ours as they need to keep track of who is with who, couples vs single diners but she did a good job. Chuy's like most Mexican style restaurants serves chips and salsa at the start when you sit down but they also famously serve their complimentary signature Creamy Jalapeño salsa, a popular zesty, ranch-based dip. This creamy green sauce, often called "green sauce," is a staple, frequently referred to as part of the "three amigos" along with the chips and red salsa. We didn't order any starters, just the main course and it was a bit slow coming out considering that the restaurant wasn't very crowded. I always wonder why this happens, are they short handed in the kitchen? I had ordered the Burrito Bowl with shrimp and my choice of rice was what they call Green Chili Rice as a base instead of Mexican Rice. I also asked for a CUP of their Tortilla soup on the side. After a fairly long wait and consuming way too many chips our food came out. The table soon got quite crowded as they tend to serve the sides like rice and beans in separate dishes from the main entrees. She must have misunderstood because I got Mexican rice as the base of my bowl and a big side of the Green Chili rice. No biggie; then she put down an enormous bowl of soup, seemed like almost a quart! I asked if this was the CUP or the BOWL and she said, "Oh sorry, I thought you said bowl." But then said, "No problem I will only charge you for the cup" which was nice. We all ate and for the most part everyone seemed to enjoy their food. The Burrito Bowl is a great way to go if you don't want a heavy meal, and sometimes Tex Mex or Mexican food can be heavy by the time you add on refried beans, melted cheese and sour cream, etc. My dinner was just right. I only had taken a few sips of the soup, it was zesty and hot, pretty good for a chain restaurant and seemed genuinely homemade. Pretty soon as our server came by she asked if I would like her to put the rest of the soup into a container to take home and I agreed; it would make a great lunch the next day. Soon we were don and she brought out the checks, it was a challenge and she first double checked her tickets to make sure she got everything right. It took a while for her to find a manager to reduce the price on my soup but eventually she did. She menioned that this was only her second week on the job and we all praised her and tipped generously as mix-ups happen and a slow kitchen is not the front of the house's staff's fault. Overall thoughts, yes Chuy's is a chain and chances are you will get the same menu and presentation at their other locations but our server made the difference as she tried really hard to please us.

It's a chain so the food is mostly always the same, but the service is so bad here oh my goodness…read more I placed an online order to go for Flautas and some queso, that's IT, and it took them over 45 minutes to get it ready and bring it out. I had to call them twice to confirm they even had my order. I paid online (also can we talk about the fact that an order of flautas and a small queso was $25!?) and don't do tips on curbside, because??? Why? And after i had already said no for the tip, the woman who brought me my order asked me if i was going to tip FOR WHAT. 1 pm on a Thursday, very small lunch crowd- maybe 15 cars in the parking lot if I'm being generous. Absolutely ridiculous. Not only did I wait almost an entire hour, but everything was soggy and barely warm at all. The chips were stale and i ordered double rice and they gave me beans instead. Worst Chuy's I've ever been to. So unprofessional.

To my surprise, I still ended up waiting 50 mins to pickup my food which was really frustrating. I understand patience and this being a small business but do believe preorders should have a speedier process! On to the food, I was pleasantly surprised by the flavors of both Vietnamese spices and traditional bbq in the rice. Not pictured I also tried the sausage which was as amazing as well. I think for the price, these were phenomenal. Unfortunately, something I ate from this spot, got me sick and due to this and the increased wait times, not sure if this will be a spot i'll revisit.

I would give this place 3.5 stars if I could due to its unique concept and creative dishes, but the…read moreactual flavors and execution brings it down to 3 stars for me. I recommend getting here very early, and preorder online if you can. I got here probably 15 minutes before they opened and there was already a line forming. Plenty of covered seating and the lawn area is pretty scenic. Here's what I ordered: Brisket BBH: the BBH is pretty good. Clean and light broth, but I think it would've benefitted from a little more sate as it was on the blander side. I think the brisket didn't really complement the dish. It was just thrown in there. It honestly would've been better without it, as the brisket makes the price tag quite steep... Pork ribs, brisket, spare ribs: gonna group these all together because they were all a bit of a letdown... Brisket wasn't as flavorful as I thought it would be for a Viet BBQ place. Both the pork ribs and spare ribs were dry. I like mine to be falling easily off the bone. Smoked turkey: most and flavorful but a little too salty. Bo La lot sausage: it was pretty flavorful, but I think if they really wanted to elevate this dish, they should wrap the sausage in lolot leaves... so it's true to its name. Curry dish: this tastes like your typical Thai red curry paste from the can. Rice was also a bit dry. Banh Xeo: probably my favorite dish. Very unique flavor... fatty, rich, savory! I would get this again. Too bad it's so small! Vietnamese slaw: quite literally (barely) pickled cabbage... not sure what makes it Vietnamese... Bok choy: typical stir fry wok style flavor. It's good, but small portion. Overall, I was a tad bit disappointed. The marketing team does a really good job of making their dishes look so delicious. But the reality was underwhelming... and pricy...
