Worst Mexican food I've ever had and I'm not a picky person lol the meat tasted sour everyone agreed that it was probably bad..food isn't fresh at all just terrible! Really did not have a great experience here. First of all, the restaurant was hot and kind of dirty (as in lots of dirty dishes throughout the restaurant). There seemed to be one single employee running the place, while also caring for her children. And yes, there were children running around, one of which was scooting around the restaurant barefoot on a scooter, yelling, climbing on furniture, etc. It took a while for drinks and food to arrive since, again, there was one single waitress - and although she was very nice, she seemed absolutely overworked and probably could have used at least one other person to help. All of this could have been forgiven, however, if the food had been any good at all. For one thing, they were sold out of several things we asked for. We ended up ordering the fajitas (chicken, beef, and shrimp), and they were just awful. The meat was dry and oversalted and the shrimp was completely inedible and stuck to the shell. The guacamole was that weird squeeze bag stuff and the pico seemed old, like the kind you get at the grocery store that sits in a container and has zero flavor. I'm only giving the restaurant two stars instead of one because the salsa was pretty good. The green was definitely better, but they were both pretty good. Like I said, I am pretty easy to please and most of the issues could have been forgiven. The kids don't bother me, I don't mind waiting a bit, I understand that restaurants can be understaffed at times. I try my best to never leave bad reviews. I have to be honest because I always check reviews before I eat somewhere, and a lot of times I will base my decision to eat there on what I read in some of the reviews. I also have the ability to read between the lines on reviews. Our food was just not good. We actually felt a little sick after eating a few bites. We think it may have been the sour cream after closer examination. If we had continued to eat, I'm sure this review would be worse. It's very hard to mess up fajitas at a Mexican restaurant but it happened. I try to only visit spots that almost everyone enjoys. No way I can go back here..... This was a pick up and eat at home even though all restrictions have been lifted. We just aren't ready to dine inside yet. My husband and I just finished our meals which we found to taste great. Dan had beef quesadillas with rice and beans on the side and I had the chicken enchiladas with white sauce and beans and rice. Plus I enjoyed a margarita to go here at home. Food sucked, service was limited, restaurant was filthy, queso was watered down, food was ice cold inside, beef had a weird smell and taste, and rice was mush. When we came, no other customers were there (should have been a clue) the cook started yelling at the waitress about getting a 5 top even though we are the only ones there. I had dinner and drinks tonight with my adult daughter and a friend and cannot believe this place has subpar reviews. From the time we walked in until we left, it was a great experience and the food and drinks were fantastic.i will definitely be visiting Julio's again! One of the waitresses kids stole my sons hamburger right off his plate. Like what? No one tried to stop him either. Just ridiculous.

We're regulars here and we love it! Great food and friendly staff but there's been a few times we've gone and waited for a long time while no one came out to greet/serve us. Decided to try a new Mexican restaurant today. We ordered chile con queso but had to ask someone to bring it. We got it a few moments before our meal. The queso was plain cheese sauce with a few big onions added. Nothing special. However, the red salsa was very tasty and the chips were warm and crispy. We ordered beef fajitas for two. They were very thin strips of beef cut bite size. The flavor was nice but the portion was small. Again, nothing special. My daughter ordered simple cheese nachos and they were just clumps of the cheese sauce splattered on chips. She didn't eat them. The service was polite but not great. My husband had to get up twice to request things and there was only one other table. We would not recommend this restaurant. Really wanted to like it. read more
