She is so greedy and monitors the bean cups they give out. Literally I asked for two she told me no 3 times after spending almost $40 that meal feeds my family and she gave me the tiny cup for the FREE beans and wouldn't give one more. I love this place. I've been here a couple different times with my family and have loved everything I got. Super tasty and filling, especially the tortas! The carne asada fries have a fantastic amount of toppings and the meat tastes great and has a texture to match. The biónicos have fresh, sweet fruit and the horchata is perfect. This used to be our #1 go to mexican spot for take out mexican. In the past I have always ordered wet chili verde burrito...today they made it with carnitas and the were horribly stingy with the green chili! Practically none on the inside and barely enough to cover on the outside. The cooks are different too. This has nowhere near the flavor it used to have. To expensive for the quality! Te fixings is my favorite at this restaurant. Ask for a cup for the beans rather then using the little cups for the salsa. I ordered the pastor torta and it was so large its enough for 2 meals. Food has always been bomb. I have been eating here since 2007. However, (I get the times are different) butthe prices are just out of control. Yes, pandemic and the inflation raised the price on everything but come on. I've seen the prices of my favorite plate (costillas rancheras) from $11.99 to $23 and change now? And tacos for almost $4... hell no. I love the food here, the tacos, the tortas, biónicos, but with these prices I will have to stop eating there for a while. Also, you guys need to work on your customer service. I'm not saying because you have a 15 year customer drop the red carpet but treat everyone like you really care . Burrito and tacos were great! However... My only bad experience was that when I ordered my orchata, I asked the lady "do the drinks come with refill" she said "yes they do" which clearly means when you empty your drink you will get a refill when we go to the counter. I went and said I needed a refill, then a different lady told me it was $1 for refill, then I asked the lady that told me there was refill, and she said "no I didn't say there was refills" Anyway I went and filled with water cause I didn't wanna make a scene and I was thirsty. Now to the food. The carnitas tacos were good, lots of topping to add to them and the free beans were a plus. My wet burrito al pastor was pretty dry for a wet burrito. I said "con todo" which means "with everything" in it and there was no sour cream, cheese or avocado, which normally burritos have. Over all the food is pretty average. Maybe next time I'll order a torta, as they claim to have the World's biggest tortas. Even though I live a few blocks from the place I won't be visiting it anytime soon, nothing different from any other Mexican food place. A little less than average food, mediocre service, overall extremely average. Food: First and foremost, no price tags on 80% of the menus on the TV's above your head. My girlfriend and I had to inquire about the price of the food at the cash register, come to the realization that paying x is not worth the amount of food you're getting for x, and then get back out of line to pick something else about 3 different times. PLEASE put your pricing on the TV's because honestly, $14 is not worth it for the California burrito that we've received on a plate with 4 in-tact chips and chip crumbs. California burrito was dry and there was a LOT of fries in it, more than meat or any other inclusion inside of the burrito. I had to drown it with avocado salsa just to enjoy it. Good thing the food was enough for the both of us to share but even still, I could've gone for a little more food. Service: Service was okay. No smiles, no greeting, no thank you, nothing. By far one of my favorite taco spots! With every order you get chips, grilled onions and peppers on the side! I love their lengua and el pastor as my personal favorite. Many of my friends love their carne asada. They have a large selection of salsas you can use, guacamole salsa, roasted red pepper, and a green verde salsa. This place is pretty expensive. For a torta el Rey and a few tacos that didn't have any dressings or toppings, I paid almost $35. Salsa and fixings and beans are all self serve but there were a lot of flies in the restaurant so it was kinda unappetizing. The torta was a bit different as it didn't have beans in it but instead had grilled bell peppers. Wish it had grilled onions or something and the meat was a little chewy at times. A plus is that the torta is huge so it feeds at least two. The carnitas taco were huge cubed pieces of dry pork so I didn't like it much either. Plus is that the torta was hot and melted with cheese but probably wouldn't come back here as the onions and cilantro for the tacos at the self serve bar seemed old and unfresh. Overall the tacos had potential so maybe I ordered the wrong meats. The lengua tacos were pretty good and the al pastor tacos were delicious. I live in Anaheim, I was in the area, I normally don't go there because it's far away, and I don't have to do anything there. I've known this place for years, and I like it for the food, but this time it will be my last time. I ordered 5 carne asada tacos, a huarache with carne asada, and a tamarind water, a total of $44.94, Pay with Debit card. When I get home to eat, I realize that they only gave me 3 tacos. I called the restaurant to tell them about the mistake they made. The solution they gave me was to go pick up my money or they would give me a credit to eat there. I told them that I don't live there, that I don't have anything to do there, it's not my route, that I should pay with a card and get the money back with a card, they made the mistake, not me, and I also left hungry. They mention that they cannot return the money through my card, I told them that through Zelle, and that neither. I only recommend that you check your orders before leaving, because the service at the cashier and by the manager is terrible. It's a shame they don't think about the customers. read more

This last visit made all their hard work go out the window. I have never had an issue before today. I clearly ordered a steak quesadilla, 2 carnitas tacos, 2 asada tacos. Very simple order. She cut me off loudly and started asking random stuff about the tacos. I repeated what I wanted. She didn't add the steak quesadilla. I went back and told her she didn't add it. She put in another order for it. I get my order and guess what? It's a cheese only quesadilla. She has a bad attitude, she knew exactly what I asked for. Then the guys told her that she got it wrong and she kept saying I told her cheese only. I order the same thing every time and I've been here countless times. If she can't give good service and get orders correct then she should go cut onions or something. Not even a thank you or apology. Used to love this place! The two stars are for the tacos de tripa because it can be hard to find and even more difficult to find them cooked well. Since COVID I've ordered several to-go orders for tacos with cilantro, NO ONION. They ALWAYS added onion. This happened at least three times. Today, since COVID restrictions are lifted I checked my food inside before leaving the restaurant. Sure enough.. onion. I kindly let one of the girls at the juice bar know and she was very rude. They made me new tacos and basically threw them into my hands. I get home and I still didn't get my cilantro LOL. If it's mixed, just tell me. Or just stop being careless. I didn't get one of their fruit smoothies because it was cold outside but they looked good and fresh. Carne asada is definitely on point here! It was a really busy Sunday but we called our orders in & had a 30 minute wait. Definitely worth it! Great food! This is undeniable!! But... the customer service sucks! The cashier always has a bad attitude. The girl that gives you the salsas and drinks takes her job way too seriously. Don't even try to ask for more than 1 salsa because she will scold you to see if the amount of salsas is "proportionate" to what you ordered. When you ask for let's say 2 red salsas and 2 green salsas, she will ask you, "what did you order?" What if I like a whole red salsa and a whole green salsa on my butrito or torta? I'd passed by this little place for a few years and never stopped. Too many Mexican restaurants to choose from in the general area so I'd never tried it. Breakfast is what I tried and it was pretty good and cheap. Two breakfast plates were only $16.00 and they have free beans and a pretty epic salsa bar.
