This was an okay lunch in a small place that's mainly takeout. They do have a few tables, but it's limited. We decided to eat in anyway. We both ordered sandwiches. I got a media noche and he got a Cuban sandwich. Even though we'd told them we were dining in, they wrapped them to go -- then took them back. Ten minutes later we got them again, but in open containers. I'm assuming they were heating them? Again, they were ok, but we've had much better. They also have croquettas and empanadas plus a few guava and fruit pastries that look in-house made. Then there's a whole counter section with pre-wrapped/pre-made coconut candies, cake squares, etc., etc. The lady at the counter was very nice. It helps to speak Spanish, but it's not necessary. I'm glad we tried them. Now we know.

In the mood for a Cuban sandwich and my wife found this little Cuban Bakery. I ordered a regular Cuban sandwich and my wife had her favorite Media Noche. Of course I had to have my Materva to drink. In a short time our sandwiches were ready and we sat at one of the four high top tables inside. They have croquettes of various types along with pastelles. The sandwiches were good and we opted to take the other halves "para llevar" (to go). Friendly service and a little spanish speeds up the ordering process.

Walked in a few minutes after them opening on Sunday morning to already find several people, but line went quickly. Lady took orders to get line down and then her and two other people started working on the orders. Simple, but efficient system for small mom and pop type bakery. Took about 8 minutes to get my order ready and then the owner rang me up. 10 minutes total wait after ordering and spent about 3-4 in line. Not bad at all for a busy shop. Ordered tostada, ham croquettes, Cafe con leche (latte), guava pastel, cheese pastel, and a fried stuffed potato w/ yuca. First time here so we wanted to taste a variety of their offerings. All for $14.35 seems like a great deal. Almost Like Calle Ocho Miami prices. Cafe con leche was perfect and the way I ordered it (light & sweet), served pipping hot. Tostada could have been a bit hotter, but still warm. Ham croquettes we're delicious, and the pastels were tasty, too. Wanted to take sandwich home for lunch, but remembered already have brunch plans so maybe in a couple days I'll swing around again.

I called and ordered a Sandwich de Lechón (pork sandwich) and it was ready in ten minutes. I wish I took a picture of the sandwich, but the smell was killing me and I devoured it. The woman working seemed nice and I'm glad with the service.

The only Cuban bakery in the area

I was so excited to see a real Cuban bakery in the area, but no. It's not clean. Food is old. My mom and I ordered some chicken and some ham croquetas. They were greasy and cold. The pastelitos were cold and soggy. We took some Cuban bread to go and it was not fresh. The doors to the kitchen are filthy and counters are dirty. You can tell someone cared about this place at one time, but those days are long gone. Que pena...

This is your specialty hidden "hole in the wall" place for Peruvian empanadas!!…read more The locals know of this spot and keep it a secret! I was inducted into this secret and I want to share... got an empanada craving? Come here!! There was a looong line for these delicious freshly baked well- filled empanadas... and they also have Peruvian tamales and I saw some nicely robust pan-con-chicharrón sandwiches... what can I say: we will go back to try them! As for this time, we tried and loved the meat empanadas: the filling was nice and full, no skimpy bits of meat: nice serving for $3.50. We tried the chicken tamal and it was okay, but dry but overall a nice flavor, and finally we tried the alfajores that were warmed up at the car and were they were very nice as well. There is a line. There are only 3 tables and 5 barstools on the side... most people order to go, but if you want to eat inside, you have to negotiate with the people sitting at the tables. Do not hesitate to "reserve" your spot. I waited until we were at the top of the line, and someone 6 people behind us with no order had already negotiated and sat at a table... regardless of the fact that she didn't get her food until after we had already finished eating: the table "system" sucked, but we got another one of the tables and most customers take their orders to go, so it was not that bad. Phew! Anyway: I am uncovering the hole in the wall and letting the world know that they can get their fill on empanadas in this little shop in Margate. Enjoy!!

I ordered a feta cheese tomato Quiche And had to send it back It was very disappointing And it was overwhelmed by feta cheese and salty ! Very little egg soufflé like it should be done And it was soggy and thin ! The deserts look beautiful and gross tasting .. I had ordered mini deserts to check them out and was very pleased w taste and appearance! I also bought a bread from the place a French baguette which was ok By the way I mentioned that to a server and see if they will exchange the quiche for a regular Loraine quiche .. the server said they will need to charge it again ! Which I said ok But in my opinion they should have refunded me the 14$ that I paid for a small 4.5 " round piece ! In generally I paid over 55$ dollars For a non satisfying experience I m not recommending This place And most importantly the owner is not standing behind his product. That's what it comes down to Is that I love good food and good products And this place is not that ! So I will not be back ! It's sugar sugar and you crash So unhealthy For humanity anyways I

Beautiful displays. Sugar whispering, "Just one more." A very dangerous place for someone who skipped breakfast. I started strong with the breakfast burrito, and credit where it's due, it delivered. The chorizo and eggs were flavorful, well-seasoned, and clearly understood the assignment. Savory, satisfying, and the kind of burrito that makes you think, "Okay... I see you." Then came the empanadas. And this is where things took a turn. I tried both the beef empanada and the spinach and cheese empanada, and neither really landed. They were not bad, just forgettable. Which is disappointing, because this is a bakery, and empanadas feel like they should be part of the hall-of-fame lineup. These felt more like bench players getting some minutes. I expected more flavor, more punch, more "wow." That said, the place itself is gorgeous. Bright, clean, inviting, and absolutely packed with temptations. Cakes, pastries, breads, all of them staring at you like, "You sure you don't want dessert too?" I was not sure. So this is a solid four stars. Great breakfast burrito, stunning space, and enough visual appeal to keep me coming back. I just hope next time the empanadas decide to show up ready to play like the stars they are supposed to be.

Since it was my first visit, I didn't realize you have to take a number (similar to Publix) and wait to be called. I ended up standing in line, not knowing they were serving based on numbers instead. To add to the confusion, numbers were being called out in Spanish, which I don't speak. Once you know how it works, it's probably fine--but as a first-timer, it was a bit confusing.
