We have been coming to Cowboys Café for a few months now I've already done a review, but thought I…read morewould add another one. Cowboys Café is on the north end of town in Minden Nevada. You really have to look. Or you will gonna miss turning into it because it's in a very small plaza. There is a sign outside that says Cowboys Café, but you really gotta kind of look for it. This morning, as we were eating there, I was thinking that this place reminds me of an old style truckstop. You walk in and it's a real western flavor. There's a bar seating and booth seating and tables. The walls are decorated with different kinds of rifles and all kinds of different western style decorations, which is really cool. You're always greeted warmly by the staff. The place gets pretty packed at times, especially on Sundays. But we always seem to get a seat. If we wait it's not usually a very long wait and the food is very much worth the wait. I've been slowly working my way through the menu since we've been coming here. I've had the chicken fried steak. I've had the pancakes. I believe we've even stopped in there for lunch and I had a really good cheeseburger. I've also tried the chili. That is very good. This morning I tried the linguiça with eggs and man it was amazing. They have the best home fries anywhere. The coffee is always good and it's strong the way I like it. So if you haven't been in here, you need to get in here and give these guys a try and I guarantee you'll be coming back.

We were heading into Carson City and looked on Yelp for a place to have breakfast. Boy, are we…read moreglad we found the Villa Basque Cafe! Here is what we noticed: - It's a pretty unassuming place...we parked in the side lot and walked around to their main entrance. They even had some specials highlighted as we entered. - Inside there is lots of seating...when we arrived the front of the place was empty, but people were sitting there when we left and we noticed that it is much quieter in that section of the restaurant than in the main dining room. - As others have noted, chorizo is their specialty and it's in many of the dishes. And, it is worth it!...and, not spicy like you might think of chorizo. My wife and I ordered the Quesadilla and the Basque Omelette, and we split both (plus, we took some home too). Each dish was really good in its own right, and being able to have the chorizo prepared two ways was great. Their home fries were really tasty too. - Service was good....very attentive, especially considering that it took us a while to decide what to order given the breadth of the menu. - We paid cash because of their sign indicating that that was preferred. Bottom line: We'd go back to Villa Basque Cafe anytime we're in Carson City...next time, we'd like to try some of their lunch options!

We also got a huge fresh lemonade and homemade Horchata. Everything was absolutely fiiiire! The staff is kind, patient, helpful, sweet and greet you with a smile. After a quick chat through the order window we enjoyed our delicious meal on the patio seating. This is snack bar style so no indoor seating. I go emotional after we left, I know it sounds odd but good service, food AND atmosphere is hard to come by and they checked all boxes. After a 4,000 mile road trip, this was our final stop and I will make sure to visit every time I'm in the area. We are camping at Travertine and went back for breakfast in the morning to try their meat lovers BB and COLD BREW FLOAT! Genius! Perfection! Go support this local gem and enjoy!

Ladies and Gentlemen, Burger Barn IS OFFICIALLY OPEN for the 2026 season!…read more Official first paying customer of the 2026 season, reporting in! Been eating here for years, and along with all other places in town, you just can't go wrong with this place, no matter what you order! This morning specifically, I got another meat lovers breakfast burrito. So big, easily enough for two people! But I would suggest buying one, and saving half to eat on later, because it's that good. I've ordered probably everything on the menu at one point in time or another. Everything is always great, and please keep in mind. EVERYTHING IS MADE FRESH TO ORDER, So during peak season, there's usually a line of people. So just be patient, because it will be worth the wait! The burgers are amongst the best along the 395! Julio is one of the cooks, and that boy knows his way around the kitchen! Cheryl is the owner, and is usually taking your order at the counter. She is one of the most wonderful women in all of Bridgeport! They have outdoor seating, and across the parking lot I believe there's still indoor seating, but I haven't been in there in years. Aside from great food, You're almost guaranteed to run into PCT hikers, campers, fisherman, etc, and most have interesting stories to tell! Thanks for the burrito guys! I'll stop back in and see ya next time I'm home! ***DISCLAIMER*** This pure, uncut, honest review is federally protected under Federal Law by way of Bill #EO14149.
