For anyone looking at Apple Maps: this is the Red Hut WAFFLE SHOP, or simply RED HUT (the most…read moresouthern one on the map). It is the smallest of all the red huts and it has a vintage cute vibe. Our service was amazing and the food was really delicious. It was very casual and old school. I felt like if I lived here and came regularly, the waitstaff would treat me like family. Everyone was super nice and attentive. Food was a touch expensive but better than competitors (heidi!), but I also felt that some of the food was a little skimpy. My partner got the tuna melt and I just expect a tuna melt to be sort of heaping, like a thick layer of tuna, but the tuna layer was equally as thick as the bread. Also, I got the rösti, and it's about 1 and a half to 2 cups of hash browns with cheese and diced meat on top. As we know, hash browns are super cheap. I got it "loaded" which is choosing all three of the meat options (tiny diced cubes of ham, small slices of breakfast sausage, and bacon bits) and it became $21. I felt like that is pretty steep for hash browns and a quarter cup of meat, but I understand mountain towns have to raise prices to offset the shipping/travel costs. All in all, I would definitely come here again!!!

We were seated at a long table inside next to two other large party tables. Our table was ready promptly at our reservation time. They have a nice outdoor deck right on the lake. I wish we were seated outside, but we still had a view (obstructed) of the lake. Valet parking is the option if you are driving, which was nice. Service: Our server was good. It felt like it took a while to get our food, but not terribly long. She also replaced one of the kid's smoothies when they spilled the entire thing. Food: They serve complimentary breadsticks with sundried tomato hummus to start. I ordered the Caesar salad and added chicken, which I felt had way too much dressing mixed in, but came with lots of chicken (three skewers) and was a good portion size. My husband orders the tenderloin salad and seemed to enjoy it. Kids enjoyed the kids personal pizza and smoothies. Some others got the Halibut and said it was bland.

My family and I all work in the food service industry, we didn't deserve the experience we got tonight. Honestly very disappointing and to the point where you guys can go elsewhere and have a better time anywhere else. We had a reservation at 8pm, we ordered the Ribeye and we noticed our meal didn't come with asparagus and our server KAMILE P didn't say anything about it either. Ribeye* 18 oz. char grilled / sautéed mushrooms / asparagus / pancetta & red potato hash / rum peppercorn demi $58 Both our plates were missing it and for $58 each. We didn't say anything hoping the server would say or do something about it. She never stopped by to see if we needed refills or need anything else. The only time she came by was at the very end to rush us out and to pay. When we asked about dessert she seemed annoyed. Never said thank you or anything. And, if I'm being honest her service was HORRIBLE! So if you decide to give Riva a chance, ask for another server or go to the bar. Giving it two stars because the food was still good.

Stephanie and Mark (owners) welcomed us like family, engaged us in conversation and went over and above during our visit there. We missed breakfast by 10 min and they were more than happy to fix it for us. Let me tell you, I've had chicken fried steak many places and this was superior over everyone. It's not your typical frozen, breaded, deep fried nastiness. The meat is pounded in house, breaded and cooked home style! Did I mention it's plate size!!!! Per Stephanie, they have nothing frozen except the fries and I believe it. My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy breakfast and was silent pretty much the whole time which told me he was happy with his meal vs picking it apart. The sausage they serve is fantastic, the gravy definitely homemade, biscuits were fantastic. We both loved the food, hospitality and ambience. I truly felt like I was in their home experiencing a great meal and conversation. We can't wait to try the burgers. Go hungry because you're going to be fed.

I had my heart on their famous chicken fried steak but they ran out before I arrived. I settled on their pork & beef burger, I know I rarely do burgers but I don't do breakfast menu items. Now that's the way to do burgers, a piece of ham and bacon, anything without bacon is simply pedestrian. Bacon will elevate anything to another level. It came with lettuce tomatoes, onions and pickles and a barbecue sauce. The burger comes on a brioche bread which makes for a messy meal but oh so good. I had them cook the fries extra well done and that alone is probably some of the best fries I've had in a long time! The seating area is spartan but well lit and comfortable, they just recently opened up an additional room which makes the place suitable for a larger capacity. I can't wait to come back for their famous chicken fried steak,
