We talked to a very nice lady who was tending the flowers on the way in, maybe an owner?, about what she likes to plant at the restaurant. She was picking sweet potato leaves to eat which she said are better than spinach. The restaurant itself is very spacious. It would be a great place to have a big group after a graduation or similar event. It appeared clean with eclectic decor. There's a ton of seating downstairs, an upper floor and a large outdoor patio. We were there at an odd hour for lunch (2:30pm) so there were only a few other patrons. The menu is extensive with everything from beef to seafood to vegetarian. A smaller portion and price lunch menu which was still plenty. Appetizers, soups, salads, desserts, all the drinks!! I had an entree that is a combination steak, chicken, chorizo and shrimp that was very tasty. My husband had shrimp fajitas. We brought an entree home for our son who is excited for dinner. A very nice and tasty experience. We will go back and take friends.

A teensy bit of smokey flavor, the right amount of onions, onions cut perfectly- it was really special. What is nice here is they give you individual salsa cups so you can double dip to your hearts content. We looked over the massive menu. Our server, Jose, kept patiently coming back asking "ready to order?"... He had to come back at least three times. Why we read every entree I dont know because we ended up ordering exactly what he suggested we get... fajitas. My husband got the Zurape (chicken, (or steak) paired with house made chorizo. I got the chicken. Holy guacamole... that chorizo in the Zurape was sooooooo amazing. I see why Grandma doesnt complain. The strip mall where it's situated is a bit difficult to access and exit as well. Inside, the dining area is bright with vibrant, cheerful colors and artwork. There are a few small booths for 2 person groups and a couple of larger tables for groups more than 2. The menu is located near the ordering window and birria appeared to be a showcase item across several different preparations. Now, to dive into my meal. First, I could immediately tell the quesadilla was filled to the brim with delicious barbacoa, cheese, cilantro, and radish as a garnish. I was also given a mild green sauce, sour cream, and a fiery and smoky red sauce. To add a bit more protein to the mix, I ordered a side of refried beans. The portion was fantastic for the price and I appreciated that they came plain without cheese added in. My reason for rating my experience as a 4 instead of a 5 is that the quesadilla was a bit too messy for my taste. The barbacoa was so rich and fatty that it was difficult to hold the quesadilla and the tortilla became soggy. I ultimately ended up scooping the filling out and eating it with my sauces and toppings on its own. Overall though, this seems Iike a solid place for Mexican food on the East side.
