Shredded chicken enchiladas, rice, and refried beans.
    Marissa C.

As we were running errands in the area, we thought it would be nice to try a new restaurant. We placed an online order for the lunch combos. There is a really nice variety of options for the combo, which includes selecting from the flautas, enchiladas, tacos, tamales, chile rellenos, with an additional choice of shredded chicken or ground beef. Whatever tasty selection you go with, it is accompanied by rice, refried beans, chips, and salsa, so a very nice, filling meal! Everything was very tasty, though a little more heat on the enchiladas would have been even better - we'll probably ask about boosting that next time, though there's an extensive menu that we're also interested to try more from in the future!

I have been living in this area for about 15 years as an adult and I was not aware of this restaurant. First warm night of the season and everybody in Columbus lost their minds and headed for their favorite patio. My gang was in the mood for tacos, and La Casita was suggested. First off, they were willing to seat a party of 12 on a Friday night at 7 during patio season. This was great. The menu is huge. I went with a margarita and chicken flautas and, as always, my body weight in chips and salsa. I dipped some of my chips into my friend's queso. The drinks were good - strong enough, icy, and came out pretty quick. The queso was pretty awesome, kind of thin, and I thought it was a pretty good sized serving for the price. It also came in a ceramic dish, versus some of the little plastic bowls, which I think kept it warm and gooey longer. The flauta dinner was pretty generous - 4 medium sized rolls with rice and beans. It came out hot and fresh, with good, crispy shells. Like I said, the menu is huge. There were a couple of pages of seafood options which I'd be interested in exploring. They have some kind of giant, shrimp stuffed pineapple, which I kind of want. Inside seemed kind of tight, but I went straight through to the patio, so didn't see too much. I'm adding La Casita to the list of good margarita patios to hang out on in the summer, and a place to get my chip fix.

Delicious, local, authentic Mexican food. The menu is very expansive, with options for everyone. The entire menu is delicious - you can't go wrong with anything, but I personally love all the chimichangas. The margaritas are sweet and strong, we always get a pitcher when we go (perfect amount for 2-3 people depending on how much you're drinking each). The servers are very friendly and service is always quick. The decorations are colorful and fun, and the outdoor patio is very nice in the summertime. The seating can be limited when it's busy, but we've never had to wait incredibly long. Will definitely return again and again!

This place looks much smaller on the outside than the inside. Met a few friends here and thought the quality of food was great. I ended up trying the octopus ceviche on a tostada and lamb birria. The birria is served as a soup with warm tortillas on the side to build your own taco and dip in the broth. So good and comforting! I also requested their spicier hot sauce which I believe is made with habaneros? It's super spicy but great mixed with less spicy salsa, in my soup, etc. The food came out so quickly and our chip basket was never empty. Everything else at the table looked delicious, too! I would definitely go back, just not for street tacos, I felt like their entrees and specialty items looked more up my alley. Especially since we have so many taquerias and food trucks around, IMO.

The first time I stopped by La Casita, I left a rather scathing review based on their ceviche. Having matured a bit, I'm trying it again after a trip to Half Price Books and Micro Center. The ceviche just arrived. Stand by for reviews. THIS is what ceviche should be! Flaky, mixture of soft and firm, and absolutely delicious!!! They offer a small and large size, so to test the waters again I chose a small as an appetizer. It is out of this world! I also ordered picadillo tacos. I'll put in a word for them when I get to them. This ceviche is calling my name! The tacos are just as good as the ceviche :). I haven't had picadillo since I left Warner Robins GA. Everything is sheer perfection. I must have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed the first time I left my review. I humbly apologize, and about to eat crow for dessert. Jj

First time ever here, have drove past it a million times. Decided to check it out today. Went around 3pm. Sign out front stated "happy hour 3-7". We pulled in right at 3. Figured.. hey great timing! We asked the server about their happy hour. He said it didn't actually start til 4, but he was kind and provided us a bit of a discount on our margs. They were huge in size and in flavor. I got the pollo a la honey, which is basically strips of chicken in a honey cheese sauce. It sounds weird but I promise, if you are as big of a fan of honey as I am, you'll love it! It is sweet (obviously) so if you like a bit of spice, either add some or skip that dish. My dude got the enchiladas (trio of a chicken, cheese and beef). The salsa verde sauce was amazing. He really loved his dish. Chips and salsa they provide when you first get there is always a nice add to. The chips were fried perfectly and the salsa was a good consistency. all in all, I'm glad we stopped in. I'll certainly be back!

I ordered my sister lunch from here and she loved it! While ordering the lady kept telling me it was really spicy and I kept telling her it's ok because my sister like her food really spicy. The lady looked at me like it was funeral, lol. Brought the food to my sister and while she loved it- she said it wasn't spicy enough. Definitely will be back here again and next time I'll get something for myself.

Delicious, authentic Mexican food. Very large menu with lots of familiar foods as well as adventurous dishes. Good lunch deals from 12-3 (I believe) and happy hour 4-7, and surprisingly never busy when I go. The decor and ambience is always colorful and pleasant.

Not a great pic but we were really enjoying our food!

I sit at the bar and I'm greeted by something I've never had ever...chips served with 2 red salsas, a verde salsa and bean dip! Usually you just get chips, a small bowl and a carafe of salsa, help yourself. This set the tone that this would be different than usual. I ordered steak fajita nachos and a Modelo Negra. I powered thru the chips and bean dip like it was my job. And it didn't disappoint. Really fresh and flavorful. Nachos are nachos, right? Wrong. How they are assembled has everything to do with their mouth feel as they cool down. I've had nachos that come out looking amazing but as they cool, turn into a disappointing chuck of chips held together by shredded cheese cement. These stayed loose with crunchy bites of peppers and onions, and the cheese sauce coated instead of becoming cement-like. I always order the same thing when trying a New Mexican spot. If the nachos are good, chances are everything is good! So I'll keep the almost 5 Star steak going. I agree, some of the best Mexican food in Columbus.

Ricardo, a waiter at Cazuela's Mexican Cantina in Reynoldsburg, had finished serving a table, expecting the usual--a tip, a simple acknowledgment of his hard work. Instead, he received a hateful message scrawled on the receipt, the kind that cuts deeper than words should. Ricardo works at Cazuela's only on Sundays, a second job to help make ends meet. So today, in between my OCIA responsibilities, I decided to stop by--to meet him, to shake his hand, and to remind him that there are far more good people in this world than the ones who spew hate. As we talked, I saw a man who carries himself with quiet dignity, someone who simply wants to work hard and provide for his family. I shared with him that I, too, know what it feels like to be told to "go back to your country," even though, like him, I am an American. I told him about my childhood, standing in front of my family's Crestview Market, hearing the ugly chants from passing cars--some driven by kids I went to school with. But today wasn't just about reliving painful memories; it was about something greater--the power of community, of kindness that drowns out cruelty. When I arrived at Cazuela's, I wasn't alone. Others had also come to show their support, to stand with Ricardo. He told me the outpouring of kindness had been overwhelming, and I was relieved to hear it. Before I left, I handed him my WARM card and told him if he ever needed help, he could call me. Because no one should feel alone in moments like these. And, by the way, if you ever stop by Cazuela's, their enchiladas and Mexican rice are fantastic. The chips and salsa? Fresh and addictive. And my server, Isabel--attentive, kind, and everything a great waitress should be. Some people choose to spread hate. But today, I saw so many more people choosing love. And thats what matters.
