El Pueblo is located right at the heart of Ortigas Center and is the best place to be if you wanna dine out with friends during lunch break and wanna avoid a lot of people. This place is also alive at night because there are also bars in here. It's one of the first places especially back in the 90's where you can hang out with friends. Back then, people didn't have places like Metro Walk. Bars and hang out places were scattered around the metro.
If you always take the fx from Pasig on the way to SM Megamall, you'd notice a plaza with buildings inspired by Mexican architecture. Yes, the places in here such as Mcdo has its own set of design but because it's located in El Pueblo, you'd still see the Mexican inspired exteriors. What's sort of sad is its atmosphere on one side where a few of the bars have closed down. Maybe we can help restore the place or avoid the other ones from closing down is by trying them out even just once. I guess they got affected by the proliferation of the restos in the malls which people would prefer going to because of proximity. read more
