TLDR: do not give these people your money. Go literally anywhere else…read more
I'm an out-of-state buyer. I contacted this dealership about a cargo van and dealt with Bernardo, who sent me videos of the van. In his own video and words, one tire "needed to be replaced soon" and another "needed to be replaced immediately." That second tire was completely bald. They knew it, filmed it, and listed the van anyway.
My husband and I drove 3.5 hours one way, ready to buy that day. The moment I walked in, Bernardo tried to push paperwork on me before I'd even laid eyes on the van, let alone driven it. I had to ask for a test drive.
My husband's inspection found an oil leak, the bald tire still mounted, and all four tire pressure sensors dead. When we brought up the sensors, Bernardo shrugged it off and said the dealership "just doesn't replace things like tire sensors." We told them flat out: fix the oil leak and put a new tire on the front, or no deal. They agreed. We signed on a Saturday. They promised to deliver once it was handled.
Monday's big update: Bernardo sent me a message saying they are going to send a DocuSign to collect my deposit. The deposit I had already paid on Saturday....
Tuesday: total silence.
Wednesday I had to chase them down, and Bernardo told me "the oil leak has been taken care of." When I asked for the repair paperwork, he said he was off that day and would get back to me tomorrow. That didn't sit right with me, so I called the office myself. The sales rep admitted they "degreased the oil leak and found no leak after that." Let me be clear: washing an oil leak is not fixing an oil leak. That's a cover-up, not a repair.
I asked for service. Transferred to nobody. Called back. Transferred to nobody. Asked for a manager. Nobody. I called ten times before a human being finally answered, and I still never got an honest answer about what was done to my van. Just that they were waiting on a tire before they'd ship it. Once I finally received the report from service, in their own words they acknowledged the leak but since it wasn't "even close to leaving a spot on the ground", they didn't think there was anything to fix.
Thursday, Bernardo never called, I had to I call him. Then two hours of silence, so I called again. Now the story was they were waiting on the bank to finalize funding, five days after I signed. Basic paperwork they should have handled Monday.
They finally shipped my van Friday at 6:30pm. Nearly a week after I signed.
It showed up with a flat tire and two brand new dash warning lights that were not on during my test drive. And shocker... still completely covered in oil underneath.
In the week since, I've spent $900 on a new tire (the one that "needed to be replaced soon" failed inspection), four new tire pressure sensors, and an alignment. The shop's paperwork showed the alignment was trashed when it rolled in. Nine hundred dollars out of my pocket for safety items on a vehicle I'd owned for days. Every one of those should have been handled before this van was ever sold to anyone.
Also, they took my 2018 Traverse with 220k miles and listed it at $10k (gave me $3200 for it). It needs a new transmission among other things. I'm betting they didn't put one in. They're going to sell that ticking time bomb to the next person who walks through the door.
This place doesn't sell safe, reliable vehicles. They sell problems, dodge your calls, and hope you don't notice until the paperwork is signed. Avoid them completely.
