Mexican Pizza Gap and slop

Ok, we stopped in the location on Hualapai Mtn Rd. Not busy, (oh good we will get good service) We have been hearing from friends that the service had gotten bad and they would no longer be eating there. We started going to this location as the service on the Route 66 location has not been the same since the son Enrique left (I think to become a sheriff or cop) Anyway we miss him and had gotten pretty good service at the Hualapai location till today. First thing, mexican pizza was flopped down and I was told its hot. That's is no extra plates to serve myself nothing. Then I asked for one and got a "trans" plate that started its life as a bowl. Still a bowl to me no matter what she calls it. I asked for a plate and "no clean plates available" hmmm before a Saturday night...... well I asked for some salsa and she brought a small plastic orange liquid unlike the red salsa we got when we sat down. I got up and walked back in the back and asked for the right sauce. What did I see a stack of plates. I pointed them out and she said something under her breath and rolled her eyes. Now my heart rates up. So when she walked out and gave me a plate, I told her she had a bad attitude, I know the whole room heard me. Nothing upsets me more than inconsideration sorry. I don't care that your dog died (I love dogs, I have 4 dogs and have lost a 16 YO German Shepard ) but asked her why she is taking it out on us. Anyway I won't be going back to any of these locations unless I hear from ownership. I know they are local and I suspect that they are relying on their employees and the employees are slacking big time. I am a local since the early 70s and I have heard this from a few. Do better, we are now going down to El Palacio. One more thing. The ingredients were good but the sloppy way the Pizza and Fajitas were put together well sloppy. The shredded beef was on half the pizza, the sour cream and guacamole were runny and combined somewhat. In the picture there is a slice missing, but the close up there was not just a sloppy gap and careless presentation of the dish. Este plato parece un desastre , aka La Salida El extremo equivocado de El Portrillo.

YUM. Easy parking, kinda off the main road. Looks from outside do not do justice to how cute inside is. Food is tasty and plenty of it. Service is super nice and right on top of your wants before you know what you want.

Chicken Mole!!

Absolutely the best mole I have had in forever!! And the rice is to die for too! The service was excellent and the restaurant interior is bright and sunny! Definitely a must try!

Chimichunga combo

We have been here dozens of times over the past 6 years. It IA by far the best Mexican restaurant in Kingman. The shrimp entrées Re fabulous. If you like a tang, try the spicy Mango Margareta. If you like it hot, ask for the hot green salsa with your chips.

As soon as I walked in, I was warmly greeted by a friendly bartender who quickly got me settled with a great margarita and a menu. We ordered our food to go, and everything was delicious. My husband had the fish tacos with rice and beans, and he couldn't stop talking about how flavorful they were. I was especially impressed by the menu's variety of vegitarian options--including a unique potato taco. I chose the vegetable enchilada, and it exceeded my expectations. The sauce was perfectly balanced and incredibly tasty. Honestly, I wish I had ordered a second dish to enjoy the next day. We were also served a basket of freshly made chips and salsa, which were homemade that morning. There's just nothing like fresh salsa that was on point! Overall, I highly recommend this spot for family and friends. It's a small, cozy place, so calling ahead for larger groups might be a good idea. The food is easily some of the best Mexican cuisine I've had in Arizona so far.

After ordering, we were treated to chips, salsa, and refried beans. If you like a little heat, be sure to ask for their spicy salsa! The food was absolutely delicious. I had a burrito that was bursting with flavor, and you could tell the food was made with love. What really made this place stand out was the adorable older lady who served us. Her husband is the cook, and together they create the kind of welcoming, personal experience that you just don't find everywhere anymore. She genuinely cares about her customers, and it shows in every interaction. I even got a hug before leaving! This place isn't just about great food. It's about warm hospitality, authentic flavors, and feeling like family. If I lived closer, I'd be eating here all the time! Five stars all the way! If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in. Support this wonderful little mom-and-pop restaurant. You won't regret it!
